Congratulations to NAM Kitchen for opening up their 2nd official location! They are killing it and they should be recognized for their amazing modern vietnamese fusion food. The parking here is very easy and have never had an issue. Inside its very modern with light accent wood and good lighting. Feels very open too. I usually rock their pho filet mignon, it's simple and does the job for me. Their broth uses no MSG and has a unique flavor to it compared to other pho spots. Be sure to take advantage of their all you can eat noodles too. They hook up the noodles good here. As for other menu items to try, I've had their lomo saltado and oxtail fried rice which is amazingly flavored. First time having oxtail fried rice and it's so good. I got the fries on the side before and it was okay, they are beer battered fries and thick. Finish off your meal with a June Lemon, it's also a hit thats just perfect for a hot summer day. So, this updated review is for this specific dish which was "Good" but not "Great" The Salmon was overcooked a bit dry and lacked moisture, so the flavor was off and bland. I think I'd opt to try the shrimp/prawns Garlic Noodle dish next time The Garlic Noodles were spot on great. We ordered takeout from the lomita location, with Pho filet mignon, cauliflower beef garlic noodle, and crispy rolls. We were impressed with the takeout bags and cutlery with plant based products. This is the second location for NAM Kitchen, and like the first location, parking is limited. So I recommend coming before the dinner rush if you want to have an easier time to park, otherwise start looking for street parking. The food here is just as good as the food in the original location. It appears the menus are identical so you won't be missing out by going to this location. The food is delicious as always. They have a wide selection from rice, noodles, appetizers, etc. Their pho dac biet is solid and may be little heavy on the cinnamon-side. They have unlimited noodle refills, however if you have intentions to split a small amount with a child then the first refill is free and subsequent refills are $1.50. Their oxtail fried rice is really good. I'd come back just for this. It's essentially their version of fried rice with shredded ox tail meat integrated into the dish. It's layered with 2 fried eggs up top and they have a sauce on the side that you can add into it. The sauce tastes like maggi soy sauce is the main ingredient. So it's delicious but the entire dish is a bit on the salty side. The ambiance is nice. I'd say its a bit more spacious than their lomita location. I'm so happy to see they opened up a location down the street from me!! I've always heard about the Gardena location but never made the trip out yonder. After watching the minions movie I was famished so I stopped by here for dinner. Ironically it was also the Mexico vs England World Cup game playing. It's not overly sweet at all-- I hate super sweet drinks but this was a perfect balance. The spicy wontons.... Man. PACKED. And I mean STUFFED with the pork and shrimp. Of course it's hot when it gets to your table, I mixed it around in the sauce and phew. Giving DTF a run for the money. They're a good size too. It's a mouthful for one piece. I was looking like chubby bunny eating them. Flavorful, soft chewy wonton wrapping, just magnificent !!! The shaken style pho was good. I think the broth is a 8/10 it's missing something by itself. I added a dollop of hoisin and chili sauce and it hit the 10/10 mark for me. The beef was tender and thin. Not much flavorful to it though. They are skimpy on the lime & jalapeños. They gave me TWO slices of a jalapeño... I was like uhhhhh. And half of a very small lime. I did request more jalapeños cause that's just wild. 2 slices ?! I was laughing I was so surprised. The noodles are a great quality, chewy and nice bounce to it. The lomo saltado I also managed to snag a bite from, I thought the meat was tender, fries are CRISPY and that ají verde sauce always hits the g spot. For dessert the mini Vietnamese flan was okay. The flan itself had no flavor but was VERY creamy. The vit coffee on top is what gave the flavor to it. Service was good, a little laggy but because of the game happening I didn't blame them. They also let us stay longer to watch the game. For 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert the bill WITH the tip came out to a little less than $100. That's a steal nowadays. They have a small parking lot + street parking. The restroom is 1 for male and 1 unisex, such a weird combination. It's single use and you'll probably end up waiting as staff use them as well. It's my first time coming to their second location! Nam kitchen has a location in Gardena which usually has a line but the Lomita location had no line when I went so that was really nice! The food was really good! I ordered the chicken pho and lomo saltado. The pho I think tastes the same as Gardena location. A lot of people order the pho since the pho is unlimited refills which is really nice! Personally my favorite is their lomo saltado I was actually surprised because I haven't tried it at nam kitchen before but the beef was cooked perfectly and not overcooked and fries were crispy which is hard to do with lomo saltado. I finally got to try the #3 spot on Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in America. The entire parking lot is huge for this restaurant while the inside is nicely decorated with large TVs and lively atmosphere. FOODS: PHỞ FILET SHAKEN STYLE is a unique dish with the beef on the side. It comes with a pho noodle soup too. The beef is wok-seared with strong wok smoky flavor, a creative depth to the dish. The broth is beefy and rich. No hoisin is needed. NAM'S SPICY WONTONS aren't spicy for me though. It comes with thin, delicate wrapper and abundant shrimp fillings. CUCUMBER SALAD is crunchy, crisp, and fresh. It goes well with other heavier dishes. TRUFFLE FRIED RICE provides an unami-rich rice flavor. It comes with Chinese sausage. The rice isn't soggy and has a nice, moist texture. YUZU PEPPER PORK CHEEK is my favorite. The yuzu flavor is bright but not too sour. The pork cheek is incredibly tender and juicy. HOUSE CHICKEN WINGS are another favorite of mine. Group dinner or shall I say feast! This newly opened Vietnamese Peruvian restaurant in Lomita is the second location owned by Chef Nam. His original restaurant is nearby in Gardena (Listed in the Yelp Top 100 restaurants for 2026). We started with an order of Spring Rolls. They were filled with Shrimp, Lettuce, Carrots and came with peanut dipping sauce. I liked the crispy crunch of the romaine lettuce. If you like spicy sauce, the table had a ramekin of chili oil, Sriracha, and fish sauce available (no extra charge). Entrees ordered by my group of Yelp friends were: Tiger Prawns on a bed of Garlic Noodles, Beef Rib Pho (cooked 4 hours), Truffle Fried Rice with Chicken and Sausage, Ribeye Steak with Garlic Noodles (sautéed mushrooms, asparagus, green onions). The dish that stood out to me was the grilled Tiger Prawns (tail-on), they looked so delicious with a butterfly cut resting on top of a bed of garlic noodles, I wished I had ordered this. It makes sharing easy, which was perfect since it was me and my two daughters. We ordered the chicken pho, and it came with small bowls and spoons so everyone could enjoy it together. The portion size was generous and more than enough for us to share. We also ordered the wings, egg rolls, and spicy wontons. Everything was delicious! My favorites, in order, were the egg rolls, the wings, and then the spicy wontons. I also had a Vietnamese latte, and it was so good. One thing I wish they offered was oxtail pho. They have oxtail fried rice, which sounds amazing, but I would absolutely love to see oxtail pho on the menu. It is located in a small corner plaza with a 20-car parking lot. Inside, with its modern décor, was spacious enough to accommodate 80 guests. My daughter suggested we try NAM Kitchen so our party of five took the short five minute drive from Southeast Torrance. To our surprise and delight, the restaurant is in the old Yami Tea House location in Lomita. My daughters spent many hours studying there in high school. The space is open, spacious, modern and bright. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. We shared two appetizers - Yuzu Pepper Pork Cheek and Oxtail Fried Rice. The pork cheek pieces were packed with tons of flavor and had a nice crispy texture. The generous mound of fried rice was served with two sunny side up eggs. It was delicious. Two of us ordered Pho Short Rib. The bowl came with two massive braised short ribs that absorbed the flavors of the pho. The rich broth was amazing, the best I've ever had. It's slow cooked for 48 hours without the use of MSG. Two others ordered Pho Shaken Style Filet Mignon. The tender meat was served on the side. The last dish was Cajun Tiger Prawn Mushroom Garlic Noodles. Both dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. NAM Kitchen was excellent and will henceforth be our go to Vietnamese restaurant, especially for pho. I was so excited when I saw the sign for Nam Kitchen at the location of the old tea shop and waited months seeing the progress inside. I was so happy when I saw they announced the grand opening on their IG and have gone several times since! This is such a solid restaurant with great pho, fusion dishes, and excellent Vietnamese drinks. My go to is the filet mignon pho! The meat is really tender and the portions are huge. Ive also had the short rib and dac biet pho too, but the filet mignon is probably my favorite. It comes in a giant bowl of broth and sooo much noodles. And the crazy thing is they offer unlimited noodle refills. I always want to take advantage of this but it already comes with so many noodles I really can't eat any more. I also think the broth here is unique in that it has a more spice-forward flavor than other pho restaurants. I've also tried their oxtail fried rice, lomo saltado, and salmon with garlic noodles. All were delicious and great options for people who don't want soup. I also love how Nam doubles as a Vietnamese coffee shop too. Their ube coffee rivals those of Da Vien or Nep Cafe, which I never thought I'd be able to get in this area. I'm really interesting in trying some of their other drinks too. Yay for the 2nd location in Lomita! 1st one is in Gardena and ranked highly on yelp's top places to eat in the US. Was here on a midweek evening. Plenty of spaces available as they are the sole restaurant on the property that appears to be shared with an office. Our server was friendly and helpful. I chose the tofu pho. There were various sauces on the table to choose from to add to my bowl. For a side, I chose fries and man, those were crispy and good! Had I put then in my pho, they would likely stay crispy. Hubby chose a pork dish that I did not try. Sorry can't get into pork cheek. I did try his filet mignon and that was yum! Anyway, back to my bowl of pho. That was very good! The weak link was the flan for dessert. That was just okay. We had some leftover and they gave us a nice insulated reusable bag. I will likely try their Lomo Saltado another time here as that was deeelicious at the other location. This is their second location that they have opened up. The original location is located in Gardena. When me, my brother, and his girlfriend was in the area. We were so excited when we saw this location was nearby. It was both their first time in my second time. Upon entering, the aesthetics is very calming yet bright. We were immediately greeted by the host and was seated right away. We arrived on this Saturday at around 4 PM. I ordered two dishes that I ordered before because I really loved it from my past experience in Gardena. My brother ordered the eggrolls, and his girlfriend ordered the bowl of pho. The Salado - 5/5 freshly made, and the cubed beef was perfectly tender and juicy. Fries were crunchy and the sauce was to die for. Pho - 4/5 I didn't find anything special and their broth was a bit cloudy instead of clear. It was fine and the sliced beef was perfectly thin. Golden pear salad - 5/5 one of my absolute favorite dishes, which is also an appetizer large enough to share with everyone. The pair was perfectly sweet and crunchy, which complemented with the salad and the Yuzu vinaigrette. You can tell that the salad was fresh from its crunchiness and the little nuts inside, balanced everything altogether. It also comes with mozzarella cheese for some protein. Eggrolls - 4.5/5 the lettuce that you wrapped the egg rolls with was perfectly bouncy and fresh, which gave the egg roll and extra texture of crunchiness. The eggroll itself was fine; however, I found that the inside flavoring was a bit underwhelming. It's not bad, but I would not say that it was the best. Since my first visit, I have eaten here a couple more times. The last meal was the rib-eye steak, served atop garlic noodles. The steak was prepared per request (medium rare). The steak was red on the inside; seared on the outside. The steak was rested before serving, as there wasn't a run off of juices. As someone who just moved to the area and lives for Vietnamese food, this spot immediately caught my eye. The space is absolutely stunning--clean, modern, and just the kind of place that makes you excited before you even take your first bite. We ordered the filet mignon pho, lomo saltado, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Starting with the pho--this one leaned noticeably on the sweeter side. My boyfriend actually loved it (so if that's your preference, you might too), but I personally gravitate toward a more savory, deeply umami broth, so it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The lomo saltado was solid overall. The fries were perfectly crispy (honestly one of the highlights), but the beef itself was a bit on the chewier side than I would've liked. Still enjoyable, just not unforgettable. As for the Vietnamese iced coffee, it was good but a little lighter and less intense than I usually go for--I like mine bold enough to wake me up and ruin my sleep schedule. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with decent food, but it didn't quite make it onto my list of go-to Vietnamese places. First of all this place used to be Ding Tea during the pandemic, so we almost missed it when driving by just in case you're a local (you'll know so you won't miss it). They renovated the entirety of the indoor space with greenery and bamboo lined accent walls. It really makes the space feel welcoming and comfortable to commune with friends & family. We loved the big table in the center with its outdoorsy wood feel. It was our first time so we ordered a sample of things to try. Fries - $10 The bowl came much fuller and with 3 dipping sauces (standard ketchup, spicy mayo, & a third green sauce that is a take on the Peruvian green sauce). Fries were freshly made, favorite sauce was the green sauce. Recommend just for the sauce! Angus Steak Garlic Noodles - $32 A little bit over priced in my opinion, but the steak was cooked really well and the quality was good. The steak lacked depth of flavor, but the garlic noodles made up for it. Chicken Pho - $24 (I think) Broth flavor was good and the chicken was thinly sliced and tender. Served with standard pho rice noodles. Oxtail Rice - $18 THIS ONE is the one to order here. The banger in my opinion. Could use a bit more meat, but overall the flavor of the rice was incredible. The rice came hot which I below contributed to the taste. Cold rice is never good. So kudos to them for serving it hot. We ordered a couple of these for the table - the eggs were runny in the first order but not so much for the second order. My only feedback here is just to make the eggs more consistently across each serving. Lomo Saltado - $22 I was excited for this one because of the Viet-Peruvian combo and I've had Peruvian Lomo Saltado before. I was disappointed that the meat was so thick, chewy and fatty; it made it hard to eat. On top of it the meat wasn't cooked all the way through so it grossed me out while I was trying to bit it mid way through. I ended up returning this one and getting a second oxtail rice plate. I wouldn't recommend this one - the fries are more deep fried than pan fried like the usual lomo saltado. Although the best thing on this plate was the green sauce and the pan cooked tomato & onion. Coconut Matcha - $7 This was my first time trying this viral coconut void matcha trend. It did not disappoint. Giving it 4 stars because it was hard to taste the matcha even after mixing it, but when I finally got it to mix it tasted so good. A refreshing coconut drink with matcha cold foam. The foam is foaming. The added flower was a nice touch - I felt like I was on vacation. Lastly, the staff is friendly and attentive when taking orders - first restaurant that I've heard ask about allergies in a long time. I like that level of attention to detail. However, since they were so busy it was hard to flag them down for water refills. Overall they get a 4 rating from me!
