Wellll - ordered a Banh Mi Sandwich and Cajun fries topped with bulgogi and egg online. For the positives: order was ready when I go there, place was clean and inviting, easy to get to and plenty of parking. Now for the not so positive. The sandwich was a sandwich but not a banh mi. Meat tasted very similar to the bulgogi and we verified our order and specifically ordered the bbq pork. Veg wasn't pickled, no mayo. Bread was soft without the signature crunch of a good baguette. It was ok but definitely didn't satisfy the banh mi craving. The fries were less than average. It was supposed to be Cajun but it severely lacked seasoning and was I think cold or stale? The bulgogi was ok and the egg was fine but would be nice if it was soft cooked to get the yolk on the fries because it needed some sort of sauce. A crema or cheese or something! Looks like this is a franchise and I can see the potential with the menu but execution was lacking. I didn't try their noodle dishes so hopefully those are better. It's Vietnamese food that also serves Acai in the same space. No one was at the Nguyen's kitchen side when I picked up. All the servers were at the açaí and I had to wait awhile to be acknowledged. First time last night ! The flavors were spot on and the food came out fast . I ordered garlic chicken fries , garlic asada fries, fried chicken wings and a cucumber limeade and my boyfriend ordered a Thai milk tea to go with it and we both were not disappointed ! This place gets an extra plus because they are open until 2 am but they stop serving food at 12:50pm . They also have a dessert bar inside where you can order fruit bowls and smoothies . Food was delicious- I ordered the garlic noodle with chicken and it did not disappoint. The portion was decent - not too much and not too little - enough to fill me up. I had one of the teas - I don't remember the flavor but it was delicious as well. My only gripe is the pricing - food is a bit pricey. There is an up charge for the protein and I think you get about an ounce of meat - if there is an up charge I would like to get a little more meat. Service - super friendly! It doesnt say Nguyen's kitchen towards the parking lot...it says "pur bowls"...i was like WTF...its the same restaurant inside, pur bowls shares half the counter with nguyen kitchen....grrr....Once I got inside about 7pm on a saturday, the place was pretty packed. The bowl side of the line moved very slowly, and it was shift change or something, so the same guy attended both lines. I finally ordered a bulgogi sancwitch and watited for what seemed like a long time. My food smelled kinda like raw beef, which turned me off. I wasnt looking forward to eating it. I get it home and start to eat, and I am happy to report it tasted fine, and not like raw beef. The bread wasnt quite as firm as im used to in bahn mis, but it tasted very good, it was just a banh mi with bulbogi meat....it was good tho, i would go again. read more

I came to eat here and everyone working in the front had a bad attitude and was very rude. The only one that was helpful was Michael from the kitchen. The other three people in the front were not doing anything. I understand restaurants are short staffed because I work in one, but no excuses. And how do you let people work in normal clothes ?! They were all in sweats... and on their phones the WHOLE night. This is a job, they should be in uniform and be attentive to the customers... not on their phones all night. The guy in the back was the only one who greeted us, as well as recommended good food. We ordered the food the guy in the kitchen recommended and everything came out PERFECT! Food quality was amazing! He had such a great attitude as well. He brought us utensils, brought us napkins, and even cleaned our table after while the other staff members were on their phones talking amongst each other. The guy in the kitchen was the only one wearing his uniform and the only one working very hard. Thank you to the guy in the kitchen you deserve a raise.. or much more. I'm only giving 5 stars for Michael. If not for Michael, Nguyen's Kitchen would get 1 star. This place was not anything like I expected . Bread for the Bahn Mi was old and they soaked in it water before warming it up and putting in the ingredients. Nothing lose to a real Bahn Mi. The popcorn chicken was salty and chewy not Crispy. read more

The food is amazing, and they're open late, so I don't mind making the 20-minute drive to avoid the usual junk that's open at that hour. I never regret it. The person at the counter recommended the Cajun fries with bulgogi and the crawfish pasta. We really wanted wings, but we weren't that hungry so we went for the wings and fries. The wings were crunchy, tender, and delicious. They were perfectly seasoned. The fries were really good and the bulgogi was really good too. The only problem is this Korean girl cannot eat without something crunchy and vinegary. The fries needed something fresh like a side of pickled veggies. Bulgogi is great with lettuce and some vinegary kochujang and maybe cucumber and of course kimchi. I asked if they had a side of veggies and they were super nice and made a veggie bowl to go with it. They made us a veggie bowl (no rice). It was essentially a salad with cucumbers, pickled radish and carrots. That was exactly what the fries needed. So yummy! read more

People are nice when you're in there, every time I have come here they are swamped. Time: you will be waiting to actually eat. Never order out from here. Not worth the wait. Also unfortunately, they do NOT secure your food. So if you're picking up from a third party who knows if it's been tampered with since it is kept wide open. Ordered out two nights in a row after pulling late night shifts - should have just picked up jack in the crack. I waited 2 hrs the first night to not even receive the food and 1 hr today to get cold food. Have gone in person about 4 times now and each time, thankfully I didn't have any other plans because it's about a 30-45 min wait as well. If you have the time to come here - go for it. Came here recently with a friend to grab some food before a movie. We saw that it had great Yelp reviews so we decided to stop by. We got an assortment of things including noodles, fried chicken, bahn mi, drinks, and some more goodies and everything was great! The interior design of the space was cute and the young guys working the counter were really friendly and were working hard, although it seemed like another person or two could've helped. A line started to build up and there were folks that were waiting on the restaurant side with no one to take orders because the guys were working on the froyo side. Also we didn't realize that the restaurant shares its space with a froyo place but if you decide to eat inside just be warned it's really, really cold in there! Either way, the food is wonderful and we'll definitely go back next time we're in the area! read more
