I love this place! It's cozy and a great place to chill out. However I just wish they had larger drink sizes. The largest they have is just so so small... But if you want to support a local teahouse, Ni Hao does make quality tea anyone can enjoy. A friend has been going there at least once a week, making her way through the menu. This week we decided to join her for some social distance socializing. Since Ni Hao Tea is offering car service, she sat in her car and I sat in mine and we chatted from a distance. It was lovely. You place your order on line, then let them know when there. The menu is very detailed and easy to use, so even if it's your first time there you shouldn't have any trouble figuring out what you want. Actually, I take that back. You will have trouble figuring it out, because you will want it all. At my friends suggestion I ordered the brown sugar milk tea. It was amazing. The boba are nice and soft, not at all chewy. Amazing place honestly 10/10 they use fresh tea leaves and the boba is just YUMMMYYYYYYYYYY!!! You can also get other toppings to like lychee but I always get boba cause it's my fav! Plus the service is fast even when it's busy. And if your in a hurry you can order online! Adding on to that the ambiance is chill and it's a great place to hang out with your friends. Update: This is the first time I've felt inspired to go onto Yelp to leave/update a review since COVID-19 began to hit close to home in early March, but both the tea and the customer service made me feel so hopeful again that I decided to come back... My best friend was moving and we decided to spend our last time together by having a long chat over boba tea; a tradition of sorts that we've been doing for so many years that we can't say for certain when it all began. We decided to get tea from Ni Hao Tea and we were both happy we did! I ordered a Fresh Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and my friend had the Mango Milk Tea with Crystal Boba, both were delicious. I tried my friend's tea and I wasn't expecting to love the Mango Milk Tea as much as I did since I usually stick to the more traditional flavors, but I was shocked by how great it was! In fact, it reminded me of a Mango Lassi just a bit and I almost wanted to trade teas with my friend, that's how good it was! The Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea was great too, the boba was certainly fresh and the sweetness was just right. I'm excited to go back and try the Matcha and even some flavors I wouldn't usually try, even if it is a by myself. Overall, it was the perfect way to say goodbye to my bestie. The hokkaido milk tea is very creamy and sweet which I like but would recommend 50 or 75% sweetness. I don't need specialty boba drinks and I usually stick to two types, lychee black tea or the almond milk tea. On this visit, I decided to go with the almond milk tea with half the sweetness. Ni Hao's version was silky and smooth - hopefully, that description translates well enough because I don't know how else to describe their almond milk tea. It tasted great and I could have had a gallon of this right then and there. The flavor also had a hint of floral to it. Not sure if it's a special type of black tea, but it was good, nonetheless. The crystal bubbles were slightly firm and almost a bit chewy, but it definitely was not a deal breaker. Ni Hao really needs to open up more locations. I'm not picky when it comes to boba tea, I also can't claim to be an expert when it comes to boba tea, but of all the places I've lived this has been my favorite boba tea spot! The brown sugar specialty tea is divine, the flavors are not overpowering and it was a wonderful treat! The honey milk tea was also delicious, but I liked the brown sugar tea more! The boba is flavorful without overpowering the flavors of the individual tea. I personally preferred the 50-75% sweet, and this is coming from someone that has a major sweet tooth. The taro slush was super yummies with tapioca. Tapioca isn't hard, but well made. They had games on the side, and I truly think it's a great place for a date or even a meet up with friends/ family. I have traveled around Asia, including Taiwan, and I can say without a doubt this is one of the best quality milk tea products I have had anywhere on this earth. First time here and they were having some event and had about 6 vendors inside which made the place super crowded. People just standing everywhere it was very annoying. They forgot to put my boba in my drink so instead of remaking it they just put it on top and used a spoon to mix it in so didn't have a photo opportunity because it looked terrible. I heard about this place from my friends and I could not have been more excited knowing that a new boba place had opened up in Tucson. The interior of the place itself is very cozy, and there's this little area near the entrance where you and your friends can play board/card games! I saw that they also had PS4 games, but no console so that's also an upcoming option as well. Service: The employees are really friendly and helpful when it comes to answering any questions you have about their drinks. I asked for a custom drink that wasn't really on their menu but they were open to trying it anyway! It was a jasmine green milk tea but with the lactaid lactose-free whole milk rather than the non-dairy creamer. The taste between the two wasn't all that different but still really good. Drinks: My default drink is always Jasmine Green Milk Tea and they pretty much nail it here. I'm glad I'm able to adjust the sweetness so I can get more of the tea flavor. However, I think you can only do that for this drink, Thai Tea, and the Ni Hao Milk Tea. For other milk teas, because they're flavored milk teas, you can't really adjust the sweetness without taking away from the actual drink itself (i.e. rose milk tea). The honey boba is served warm and it's a beautiful contrast with the cold drink in addition to its sweetness. My boyfriend likes to get the taro drinks and he loves them. They use real taro so it comes out to be really sweet, for me that is. The matcha latte is pretty bitter, but that's just what you would expect from matcha. Overall: For the quality of the drinks, the prices are definitely fair. This is now my favorite boba place in Tucson and I hope to come here more often! p.s. My favorite milk tea has always been Taro Milk Tea. I've recently traveled to Taiwan, the birthplace of bubble milk tea. During my trip, I had quite a few cups of the highly addictive milk tea. Aside from the usual varieties of milk tea, I saw banners and posters featuring a particular type of milk tea which I hadn't seen before -- the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea. I then made it my top priority to get my hands on this latest milk tea craze. I was able to try the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse from the highly popular Tiger Sugar milk tea store. It was amazingly perfect. Now, my dear readers, you might be wondering why I'm blathering on and on about Taiwanese milk tea. "What does it have to do with Ni Hao Tea?" you might ask. Well, let me tell ya... I was able to try Ni Hao's Fresh Brown Sugar Milk Tea last weekend and it was outstanding! The tapioca balls were sweet, chewy, and had just the right amount of firmness. The beverage itself was heavenly delicious. It was sweet and very milky. I could confidently say that Ni Hao's Brown Sugar Milk Tea can hold a candle to Tiger Sugar's. A wonderful new boba store in the east side of town! I came here during their soft opening and although it was still during their training process, the drinks came out to be really good. What surprised me was that I came around an hour before they closed and asked for boba in my drink, and the boba had the perfect chewiness and texture. Usually, whenever people come towards the end of day at a boba shop, the tapioca pearls are too soft and mushy since it's been sitting there the whole day. I ordered the Ni Hao milk tea w/ boba, milk tea latte, matcha green tea, and the mango smoothie. All four drinks came out to be exceptionally good, but I highly recommend the ni hao milk tea and matcha latte. A word of advice is that if you don't like sweet things, try to aim for 50% sweetness because the drinks are pretty sweet. Also, the matcha is imported from Japan and they also use Lactaid (lactose free milk) for those who are lactose intolerant. The owner, Kim, was extremely friendly and helpful when I couldn't decide on what to order. This place is a must try and I can't wait to go back! read more

I would definitely say Ni Hao Tea is one of the best places for boba in Tucson. The staff is extremely friendly and has really good knowledge about all of the drinks. I ordered the fresh brown sugar milk with brown sugar boba. I also got 50% sweetness and light ice. The boba itself was super chewy and sweet, which is hard to say for other boba places in Tucson. My friend also ordered the matcha with boba and it was super good, but she got it with regular sweetness and it was a little bit too sweet for my taste. This was my first visit to Ni Hao Tea. I ordered a large honeydew milk tea with honey boba and a medium jasmine milk tea for $9.22. The server accidentally grabbed my drink from the top with no lid and the palm of his hand dipped into the drink. He didnt offer to make a new one and I was in a hurry, so I just drank it. Other than that mishap, the milk tea was delicious. Ni Hao Tea has unique toppings you can add to your drink such as flavored jelly, honey boba, brown sugar boba, and more. Boba, also known as Pearls, are black tapioca balls that are chewy add ins to slushies, milk tea, or regular tea drinks. Ni Hao Tea made the best boba list in the state of Arizona. I had to try it! I was either going to be really disappointed to make the drive down there if it wasn't the best or I was going to be really sad that it was the best and I would have to make the drive down south for it. IT WAS SO GOOD! Well deserved on the best in Arizona list by far! The boba was warm and the quality of the tea was really spectacular! I got the Rose Milk Tea the first time around which definitely solidified the 5 star review. (There's only one other place in AZ that I have found with Rose Milk Tea so far and it wasn't really good...) The second time, I got the Ni Hao Tea which was pretty traditional and very popular which really stamped that 5 star on there with permanent marker.
