Stay here a couple of times. King beds. Large rooms. This time, the room had a big bathroom with a tub. Rooms don't have microwaves, just fridge and coffee maker. Free breakfast downstairs. Decent selection. It's across from the river. 2nd floor balcony views. Outside seating. Bar in lobby big area with seating Great location. Decent prices .

Our first time here. Booked an apartment as that was all that was available. 3 night stay. Apt #4002. Good location. Clean. Full size refrigerator & stove. Dishes & utensils provided. No view as room was in back of hotel. Would have given it more stars, but we had some issues. Old style key (no card) to get into the room. Wouldn't work reliably. Had to fuss with it for a minute or two to get it to work. Went to the front desk & got another key. Same issue. Had to jerk around with it for a minute or so each time we wanted to lock/unlock the door from the outside. Got annoying real quick. Second issue was that the wifi was down constantly. They have two nice smart TV's in the unit, but we couldn't watch them without wifi. Didn't have great cell coverage (AT&T), so no wifi = no internet. Again, annoying. Pic of the TV showing no network attached. Lastly, the room always felt damp. They have heat pumps, not a/c units. Heat pumps cooled the room nicely, but apparently they don't dry out the air. Air in the room always felt damp, bed sheets felt damp and the bath towels never dried out. I sent the hotel an email a few days after we checked out notifying them of the above issues. No response. Wasn't looking for anything, but a 'sorry for your trouble' type of response would have been nice, and smart. We're in the Lewiston area once or twice a year. Not sure we'll stay here again. Shame, it's a nice location.

My daughter had her wedding there and it was wonderful! The first wedding planner I dealt with was not great. Thankfully she was no longer there once it came time to finalize everything. Kristi is who we worked with and she was AMAZING! All of the staff were so nice. The food was delicious. The rooms were clean and unique. Our group had the entire second floor rooms right next to the ballroom. The rooms are not soundproof but i figured if they can deal with my crazy wedding reception then I can deal with a little creaking floor. Free breakfast in the mornings were a wonderful convenience and made it simple to see all of our guests off the next day. The views on the balcony were a stunning backdrop for the ceremony and made for an excellent change of scenery during the reception. I highly recommend this venue for your event!

There was a battle fought in the War of 1812 near Lewiston. This hotel looks like it must've been from that same era. But, in fact, it was not built around 1812. Or 1912. Actually, closer to 2012. It was actually built in 2003, but done in the style of the older architecture. It's incredibly charming. The people at the reception desk are also very friendly. And, it's an old style sit down at a desk check in, rather than the more modern check in counter where you have to stand the whole time. The rooms are spacious, and the bed is reasonably comfortable. And, it's located near some nice restaurants that aren't terribly expensive. The location not far from Niagara Falls is also ideal, without the expense of trappings of being closer to the Falls. Definitely worth a return trip next time I'm in the area.

We stayed here this past week because our National chow show was located here. It was a very pleasant surprise to show up at this hotel. Cute town with great restaurants and shops, beautiful view of the Niagara River, close to drive to Niagara Falls or take the shuttle. We spent most our time at the hotel because all of the dog show activities were there. The rooms were clean, the food at the banquets were all good too. My only complaint is the mattress was hard and no exhaust fan in the bathroom. But really not a deal breaker. The staff really went out of their way for our group to make sure we had a successful event. And everyone is now in love with that town too!

It definitely feels like a hidden gem but more people need to know about it! After searching the area for a possible hotel to stay at (and being disappointed with the results), I chanced upon The Butler House and decided to book the Regatta room for a short stay on their website. Before I arrived, the hosts Jaime and Dan reached out to verify any dietary restrictions and anything they could do to make the stay more comfortable. On the day of my first night, they also checked in on my ETA and gave me instructions for late check in which was very helpful. It's located in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. This place was made to feel like a home away from home. It felt like I was visiting a friend's house. The decor was super cozy and well maintained. Everything on the first floor was so pretty to look at, from the foyer, front porch, first floor bathroom, dining room, and front porch. In the foyer, there were snacks, fruits, coffee pods and tea bags. There was also a piano to test your musical skills if you knowhow to play. I enjoyed my time swinging on the front porch's giant swing and feeling the evening breeze as I took in how peaceful the neighborhood was. The rooms were all located on the 2nd floor of the house and come with pin pad locks which was convenient. The Regatta room was huge and also came with a sun room that had two plush couches and white curtains. It felt like the perfect place to curl up with a nice book while sipping on some hot tea. There was also a heating lamp in case it gets cold. The sun room was also the only place with USB chargers which I wish the other outlets inside the bedroom had too. Everything about the room was super clean and well kept! The bathroom was neatly decorated and there was plenty of space inside to layout my skincare bottles. There were also small hand towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I really appreciated that they used regular brands like Olay and Pantene (I could tell by the smell because I use them at home too!). In the bathroom there were 4 switches (2 for lights, 1 for bathroom exhaust and the last one turned out to be for hot water which I had to figure out as I'm not used to turning on the heater like that or at all). The pressure of the water was fantastic though it was a bit small inside the shower space. They also had a lovely large bath towel and the bath robe was the cherry on top (I might get one myself). The bed was big enough for me and it was such a nice feeling to sink into a plush and soft bed after a nice hot shower. The TV had access to Disney+ shows which was nice. There was also an AC unit on the wall. I liked that all the room's light switches were right by the bed so that I could make the room as cozy as I wanted it to be. Breakfast was served at 8:30am sharp in the dining room. Tea, apple cider, orange juice and coffee were offered. The first course was Taiwanese scallion pancakes with egg and sausage on the side. It felt like a taste of home for me and an unexpected surprise in Niagara Falls. I would've liked ketchup but there was only sriracha and soy sauce. It was such a large portion I barely had space for the second course. The second course was a giant plate of blueberry crumble with whipped cream. It was quite sweet and most of the table was too full to clear their plates too. They really meant it when they mentioned that guests often don't need to eat lunch after having breakfast here! It definitely fueled me up while I was wandering Goat Island! Butler House has set the bar high in terms of any future bed and breakfast locations I might stay at!

Only complaint was breakfast was dictated to us. There was just us and one other couple in the house but we like to take our time in the mornings. We did appreciate having until 11 to check out and we sat on the covered porch after breakfast and just relaxed a bit after breakfast before we headed out for the day.

Al and Laurie have established "Two Bees" as a peaceful oasis for all your "getaway" needs. The location is perfect. It's walking distance from the main-drag and a short drive away from all the wineries. Our room, the Dickenson, had a whirlpool tub and nice sitting chairs. In the hallway outside the rooms there is also a 24/7 coffee/tea/soda/water fridge/keurig setup which was wonderful. If you're a book/music lover, you'll be delighted by the plethora of books and CDs spread throughout the house and in the rooms. There is a variety of music available, but with a preference for jazz (which I share). The living room space is cozy and has comfortable seating with a nice fire-place. Breakfast is outstanding: 1) coffee, high quality tea, juices; 2) a fruit and bread starter (we had a great yogurt parfait with granola and loads of fresh fruit; and the BEST peanut butter-chocolate bread!); 3) a main plate with something either savory or sweet and usually some kind of little meat on the side along with some kind of salad (our main one day was a decadent orange maple french toast, and it was an egg/broccoli soufflé another day; they mix it up well). Al and Laurie, in addition to being very friendly and gracious hosts who make an amazing breakfast, are also very knowledgeable about the local restaurants, attractions, and wineries. If you're looking for recommendations they'll steer you right.

If you don't appreciate small things, are not into history and antiques, then this may not be the place for you. If you are - this is a place to remember.

My bed was exceedingly comfortable. The breakfast was hot and comforting! And all the while, at breakfast, Eva regaled me with stories of how a movie was shot on location at this inn. As we entered the side entrance by the code given to us in an email as we stepped in the house we were immediately face to face to an older gentleman that popped out of the basement. Wow that was pretty scary. We immediately could smell an odor in this house. The first problem we discovered is there are 2 rooms on the ground level and 3 rooms upstairs. The gentlemen asked us our names and said your rooms are upstairs number 3 & 4. We went up a few stairs from the entrance and he pointed to the stairs to get up to our rooms. The stairs were not something a senior person would want to navigate several times a day. The carpet on the stairs oh my didn't look too clean. As you went up the stairs it got hotter and hotter. The property manager said he would ask the owner to lower the thermostat I am pretty sure that was not going to help the upstairs so it would be comfortable. They are very outdated, dark and dingy, windows so dirty you can't see through them. Ceiling fan was noisy and wobbling, it could have fallen at any minute, safe hazard. There had been plumbing work done between the tub and toilet then a piece of random board was nailed on the wall but the nails were not pounded in and the heads of the nails were sticking out they were very sharp, safe hazard. One of the rooms had no closet what so ever no place to hang a hanger anywhere. It had an old small chest of drawers that a small tv sat on top of. The tub in one of the rooms was so outdated looked like it had been there for 40 years and it looked dirty and dingy, I would not shower in that. The living room furniture old and dirty looking I would not sit on it definitely needs to be replaced. Also this is not a true B&B no meals are served you cook your own and clean up behind yourself and you can't use the kitchen before 7:00 am. We were on a once in a life time vacation to Niagara Falls thinking it would be great to stay in an B&B so we could have a space to visit in the evening after our daily adventures and have breakfast in the mornings before our daily adventures. This B&B was so smelly and dingy that our vacation would have been ruined by staying there. So glad we opted to not stay we went to hotel in Canada and had a great stay.
