This was an amazing tour, I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Niagara Falls! It is a smooth pick-up process bright and early, we got excellent and interesting facts told to us by our wonderful tour guide, Mel. He was attentive and friendly, and his knowledge on not only Toronto, but Canada, and many other places/topics was endless and incredible! We were lucky to have him as our tour guide. He gave our group great recommendations and answered all of our questions. He was a very safe driver and was kind and helpful to the entire group. The trip itself was fantastic, the Niagara Falls view was breathtaking and magical. The amount of time at the Falls was perfect and gave us plenty of time to walk around the mall area and also view the Falls multiple times. I think Karen F. nailed it with her review. The positives: The tour was efficiently run and the tour guide was very knowledgable. We did get to do everything that was promised on the itinerary and the expedited boarding process on the boat cruise was much appreciated. The negatives: The unnecessary 30 minute stop at the tacky gift shop was a waste of valuable time that we could have spent ice wine tasting. As others have mentioned, the bus itself was not a luxury experience. Uncomfortable narrow seats, no restrooms, and very tight aisles. We had a great guide who was also our bus driver, RALPH. We were picked up outside the aquarium by our guide where we boarded the bus- easy to find. The bus was very nice and comfortable + offered free water. We stopped along the way for Maple syrup tasting, flower clock, some scenic photo opportunities, and had about 3 hours at Niagara Falls. Ralph was full of fun facts and history of Toronto and Niagara Falls + a sense of humor. The Hornblower boat ride is short but expect to get wet! I wore a raincoat under the red poncho you'll be given at the site. This is the way to do it to get the full magnitude of the falls! I changed my shoes into flip flops for the boat and then back into my tennis shoes for touring. You can take an elevator up a tower to see everything from above or ride a zipline on the side of the falls. However, we did not test any of these. There are also MANY hotels and restaurants nearby. The experience was amazing! Our driver Michaleo shared with us so much history about Canada and Niagara Falls, he was funny and knowledgeable. I enjoyed every moment of the tour. I was going to drive to Niagara, but I'm glad I decided not to. I was able to enjoy the scenery and I was able to rest after the tour. Best driver and best trip. One of the reasons I went to Toronto for my 25th B-Day is because I wanted to see Niagara. Sure, it is a little bit of a hike from Toronto, but Niagara is kind of like Vegas, one of those places you have to see at least once before you die. Rather than venture out on my own (like many in my hostel did) I decided to book a professionally guided one. Let me assure you, there is absolutely no shortage of companies offer similar tours, and I'd be lying if selecting this company wasn't intense. My hair-pulling-out paid off, and I had a great time with this company. Oh, and before I write a novel about a day tour, the tour guide, Jimmy (I think) was really awesome! He made the trip fun by letting us personalize it (just a little), sharing fun facts, and playing great tunes too! The main things for me were a respectable amount of time in NIagara on the Lake (NOTL) as opposed to just driving through, a good amount of time at Niagara, small tour size, and the hydroelectric station (more on that later). The tour also included the winery, and obligatory floral clock and smallest chapel (also more on that later). Finding the tour by the hotel was a non-issue. Having a small group ended up being awesome because it made for a more personal, detail oriented experience. For example, because were were a small group, we did drive bys of the floral clock, smallest chapel, and hydroelectric station. We did, however, have the opportunity to instead stop at the whirlpools. We had the option to speak up and ask to see one of these more closely, but even with a small group, there is some pressure not to be that guy. Therefore, initially, I was a little bummed about not seeing the power plant. Then I turned to Google, and turns out I didn't miss anything but some stone/concrete buildings, which from our perspective would probably not look like dams. With the floral clock and smallest chapel, an outside view was good enough for me. Being able to see the whirlpools though, was pretty cool and something I would not have known about or gotten to see had I gone on a much larger tour. Then, actually being able to spend an hour(ish) in NOTL was one of the highlights. It's one of those cute towns that is a lot of fun exploring. Sure, spending a couple of hours there would have been cool, but I realize that would turn into a very, very long tour. I'll take the hour over a drive-through any day! P.S. Don't miss Budapest Bakeshop! Niagara itself was awesome, but that's for another review. We had ample time there to see the falls (hornblower ticket included), and do some exploring as well. Im was able to do both "Behind the Falls" and the "Skylon Tower." I'm glad I did them, but I suggest checking out the surrounding area instead. All in all, a great tour! How much do I like the Niagara Day Tour? Well, let's just put it this way... If you're sauntering through the US and are headed to The Falls: Do not pass go, do not collect $200, and do not see it on the American side. Pack up the minivan, pack up the kids, and pack up your passports, and don't stop until you're in Toronto. For what you get, the $84 US I spent per ticket, IMHO, is an exceptional value. And I have a hard time thinking any tour in my home nation, the U.S. of A., is any better. Starting from the Strathcona Hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto, the guide/driver rolled on out of the city. The journey curves, hugging the Lake Ontario coastline through Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and Hamilton. We rolled over the famed Garden City Skyway Bridge, saw locks of the Welland Canal, and after about 90 minutes made our first stop at the beautiful town of Niagara-on-the-Lake (my review of the town is here https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-town-of-niagara-on-the-lake-niagara-on-the-lake). If you love quaint mom-and-pop and catch-all shops, antique and collectable stores, souvenir shops, great lunch eateries, ice creameries, and beautiful parks, you'll enjoy your 90 minutes here. Then we stopped at the Reif Estate Winery ... it's a gorgeous place, especially when summer is in bloom (we went in early June). The tour includes a private wine-tasting where we tested an in-house cabernet, merlot, and ice wine. Then, a few shorter but still cool stops: the amazing Floral Clock, "The Smallest Chapel in the World" (Living Water Wayside), and the Adam Beck Generating Station 2 (essentially, a really cool view of a dam). And then the event we all were waiting for: 3 hours at Niagara Falls. I HIGHLY recommend adding to your tour package the Hornblower Niagara Cruise (of course, when the weather's good!). We were dropped off right in front and lined up. And yes, it was great ... it takes you right into the belly of the beast. As the tour guide said, "You can get as wet as you want" ... and we did. Excellent tour! This was an easy and stress-free way to go see Niagara Falls while we were in Toronto. Our driver/tour guide Ralph was friendly and knowledgeable. We loved all the other short stops that were made. Bus was clean and the tour was on time and exactly what was advertised. We certainly appreciated having a smaller group. Directions on where to meet the bus were clear. The one suggestion we would make would be to plan stops both there and back for restroom breaks. There were elderly people on our trip that I know were really worried about not being able to have a stop on the way back. And given that it was a hot day, I did worry that folks were not drinking water so they wouldn't have to go. read more

It was a great tour filled with a lot of history and jokes along the way. The drive was smooth and included a number of stops for sightseeing. The Niagara Falls itself is a must see and the boat ride to see and feel the experience was exceptional and definitely worth the price. After reading the great reviews of this particular touring company on another website, I thought they would be perfect for my Niagara Falls adventure. The Owner was very prompt in responding back to me, that yes, they did operate on Sundays. Perfect. I paid ahead of time, and received an email right away stating that they would pick us up at our hotel, and the day before send us an email to let us know the exact time. They were true to their word, and on Sunday, the van showed up exactly on time at 8:15 am. Ah, yes, the van. Built to hold 12 people and the driver, we were crammed in there tighter than sardines in a can. It made every stop awkward to get out and awkward to get back in and pretty much everybody was too close for comfort. And it was a loooong day not to be comfortable. The tour guide David was nice, but unfortunately I didn't feel like he imparted much valuable or interesting knowledge, and his delivery method was very dull, to be perfectly honest. I found out later that those stuffed into the back of the van could not hear him very well, either. But - we did have great stops on this tour - the quaint town of Niagara On The Lake with recommendations where to purchase a sandwich, a winery for ice wine, the World's Smallest Chapel, Niagara Power Station, and The Flower Clock. Plus - when we got to Niagara Falls, our guide was very organized in telling us when and where to meet him, and leading us down to get on the boat ride, with our pre-purchased tickets in hand. We were delivered safely back to our hotel around 5:30 pm. All in all, a decent experience, and the stop locations were nice, I just wish our mode of transportation was more comfortable, and that our tour guide was more dynamic. read more

They had good reviews, and they said that the tour should take nine hours. We should be back in Toronto by 6:30PM, so I made our dinner reservations at 8:30PM. There were a few reviews that said they arrived later than they thought back in Toronto, so I thought that gave us a buffer. The ride to Niagara Falls was uneventful, and the tour guide/driver was friendly and comical. I was worried about the weather, but it was actually perfect. I added the Hornblower Cruise, and the family had a good time getting up-and close personal with the Horseshoe Falls. We walked to Table Rock and also did the Behind the Falls tour, which is when we found out that a seven-year-old had survived falling down the waterfall. After eating lunch, we got back on the bus and headed to the gorge. We first stopped at a winery and then proceeded to Niagara-on-the-Lake. They had free shuttles to the town there, and the driver told us Toronto has the worst traffic in the Northeast. This got me worried because it was already 4:30PM. We didn't get back to Toronto until past 7:15PM. This stressed me out because we would not have any time to breathe before running to get ready and go to dinner. I thought DC had terrible traffic. Toronto is even worse. I felt the driver should have skipped the winery or Niagara-on-the-Lake. We should have started heading back by 3PM. If the nine hours the tour is supposed to be is beginning from Niagara Falls, then it should say that. Or, they should have a disclaimer that we might not get back by 6PM. Overall, we had a good time and were glad to have gone to Niagara Falls. read more

We had friends in from Europe who wanted to see Niagara Falls. They had booked this tour (very reasonable for a whole day!) so I decided to tag along. Our driver's name was Burkus (spelling?) and he was awesome! We saw so much of the area including a winery, the floral clock, world's smallest chapel, etc. I had been to the falls and Niagara on the Lake before, but I also saw so many new things and Burkus was knowledgeable and entertaining. We spent the full day with transport to and from Toronto and it was definitely the highlight of their trip. A must do day trip for all visitors to Ontario and a great mini vacay - even if you live here! read more
