How can you come to Niagara Falls without "doing it all", and this is maybe the best way to do that. Obviously you pay way more money to take this tour, than to do these destinations on your own, Pros and Cons? Certainly. Pros: -They pick you up at either your hotel, or a designated area. -You get to go to the highlight spots without having to purchase separate tickets. -You do not have to pay for parking, or attempt to find parking for each of the attractions. -Border crossing could not be more easy. Cons: -You may not get to spend as much time, or you may spend too much time for you, at each of the attractions. -You are tied to a group, so part of the pace of you journey is tied to the others you are bundled with. -The "Lunch" stop. Yes you can pack your own, you can purchase at the designated spot which has a store and a Maple Syrup tasting, but clearly this is a designated tourist trap and of course the stop here was quite long. -The sign in the front of the van to "Tip your drivers, that 20% is customary as this is how they make the majority of their wages"

Everything we experienced was excellent. Our tour guide, Martine was knowledgeable, kind, polite, and prompt. The vehicle was clean and spacious. We got to see everything without many lines. The next time I take some of my grandchildren to Niagara Falls, I will absolutely use these people again. I would strongly recommend that if you do this, book early in the day before the lines start to form at the attractions.

Amazing tour! So glad to have booked and found this on Viator as it gave us the chance to see both sides of the Falls. Pick-up may be earlier than the scheduled time depending on how many places are picked up so be sure to get up early for the morning tour and check your text messages. It is pricy but well worth it as it is the only way to see both sides of the falls without having to drive or taxi and meet other amazing people. Nancy was amazing and knowledgable and was also very accommodating of our disabilities. We bought snacks since we didn't expect to be able to get lunch but we did stop for a delicious lunch at Maple Leaf Place that had wonderful Canadian food as well as ice wine and maple beer and an amazing store attached. We started with Cave of the Winds and followed with a view of Three Sisters Island on Goat Island on the US Side and then went to Canada where we did the Hornblower cruise followed by lunch and then went to the Niagara Whirlpool on the north side of town and ended the day at Skylon Tower before heading back to our hotels. This is our favorite tour we have ever done anywhere and would highly recommend to anyone without a car or wants to visit the Canada side from the US without paying the extra cost for more insurance (as many of the US boarded customers did).

The tour was fantastic! "Legendary Lenny" was our tour guide. He brought us to the Falls and did it with a humorous flare. He was also a master at time organization and managed to keep our group together and moving along. The attractions that we saw were breathtaking, but I'd honestly have to say that I've been on about 20 tours in my life and Lenny is by far my favorite! He will keep you entertained. I hope anyone reading my review is fortunate enough to spend part of their vacation with him as their guide.

Jessica made our tour so much fun! Great info! Great tips! Communicated with us nonstop and made our day super fun!

Great pictures from Nancy!

We recently took a tour in Canada with Over the Falls Tours and had the incredible fortune of being guided by Nancy. Dawn was also very helpful on the phone and made sure everything was set up and we had all the information we needed! Great tip on the water shoes! Those were crucial! Our tour guide Nancy made our entire experience unforgettable! From the moment we met her, her warm and welcoming personality put us at ease. Her extensive knowledge of the area was evident as she shared fascinating insights and stories that brought each location to life. Nancy's expertise was apparent in her ability to navigate the tour with precision. She knew all the secrets and best routes, which meant we were able to see all the key attractions with almost no wait time or lines. This allowed us to make the most of our time and enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. What truly set Nancy apart was her exceptional level of care and attention to detail. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear that she genuinely loves what she does. She ensured we were comfortable and well-informed at all times. She always educated us on what to do at each stop to make the experience even better like where to stand on the Maid of the Mist, the best route while at the American Falls, etc. Multiple people from other tour companies commented to us in passing that we had the best tour guide in Niagara Falls and we wouldn't agree more. Everyone knew who she was no matter where we stopped! Nancy went above and beyond to make our tour special including add a few extra stops for personal reasons which didn't bother her at all! Overall, Nancy is the reason our tour was so great. Her passion, knowledge, and dedication made for an outstanding experience that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Nancy and Over the Falls Tours to anyone looking for an extraordinary private tour experience in Canada. Thank you, Nancy, for making our trip truly memorable!

Awesome and wet lol

We did a full day trip with David. Had a great time definitely worth the money. We only had 24 hours to see as much as we could. I'm so grateful we found the site it provided a great overall experience in such a short time. Money well spent

We had the most amazing time but I think its mostly because of out tour guide Lenny!!! He also made my daughter feel special all day, it was her 30th Birthday...it was an amazing trip full of Wonderfull sites, fun and laughter , we couldn't have asked for a better day !! we went to the falls, parks, cave of the winds, a bakery, had a picnic , , so much fun...A Must DO!!!

All day organized fun! Was only in town for a day and I wanted to make the most of it. They knocked it out of the park and our guide Angel was amazing!

It was a beautiful day to see the falls. We chose the tour that went to Canada to view the falls from Skylon Tower. Niagra, Canada is gorgeous. I recommend the America/Canada tour. Our tour guide, Roland, was funny and he provided a lot of history of the area and the falls. My only complaint would be the food options where we had lunch in Canada. Almost no gluten-free food available.

We did the maid of the mist and Canadian side tour with Jairus (the ukulele guy!) and had a fabulous time! First off, major props to the customer service folks working behind the scenes. They responded to my emails quickly and when our flight got cancelled and we had to change the pickup time and location, they were able to switch things easily for us which was so helpful. We met our group of 15 at the aquarium in Niagara, NY (tip - parking is free on the weekdays, at least in May!) and headed to Luna Island and Terrapin point, both on the US side. The views were amazing! We then hopped back in the mini bus and headed to the maid of the mist. That was fun but you definitely get wet! We stood on the port side underneath and still got a bit wet, though the ponchos helped. We crossed the border which took maybe 25 min and stopped at a look out above the Canadian falls. We then did a lunch/souvenir stop at maple leaf place. Definitely touristy and overpriced. The food was just okay, so recommend bringing snacks and your own water! We then went to the whirlpool lookout and finished the tour going up the skylon tower. So many amazing views! I highly recommend picking a weekday and avoiding the peak season if you can! We chose a Friday in May (the first day the maid of the mist was open actually) and the crowds were minimal and weather perfect. The tour also can last longer than anticipated depending on the border, so we got picked up around 9:45am and were back to our car on the NY side around 4pm. We loved J though, he had great stories and his ukulele playing was unique! Highly recommend this tour to see all of the sights of Niagara.

We had such a wonderful time on this tour! from easy and quick pick up, to early tours with little waiting with Jessica! Jessica was super fun, informative , wasnt messing around getting us to and from and we were right on schedule, she did all the ticket, line, and driving work! Many people that weren't on tours stopped to listen when Jessica was talking to our group. I would highly recommend the tour, but also highly recommend asking for Jessica! #teamjessica

To see the magic of the Falls from the eyes of a child is amazing. I think this is my fifth time to Niagara Falls and it didn't get old. There is something new I see each time. The employees were kind and did a great job providing directions and keeping the line moving. We had no wait to board the ship. We were told 600 people could fit at one time. It was cool to find out the ship was fully electric and didn't have harmful emissions. The ride was very informative and we learned fun facts about the Falls. We definitely got wet but it felt good in the otherwise 85 degree weather. The ride is only about 20 minutes and totally worth it. Afterwards there were plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby within walking distance so we didn't have to move our vehicle. Definitely recommend this family friendly experience. It was cool seeing many generations represented.

The process was very fast. The views on the observation deck were great and led us to the elevator which takes you down to the boat. The elevators are packed full and have pre recorded messages with information about the descent (it would be a long walk down) We made our way down and were given ponchos. We had a quick wait to get onto the next boat. Due to this we were the first to board and got a great spot for the ride. The boats are all electric and as the ride goes on they have pre recorded information about the ship. Very informative and interesting. You really do get so close to the falls! As we got closer, the wind and water picked up making for a very exhilarating experience. Ponchos did help to keep us dry. It was a very fun experience. A little bit bumpy so be sure to hold on. It was very hot during our visit so this was a great way to cool off. I would say this is a must see if you visit Niagara Falls. I also liked that they had recycling bins to deposit your poncho in afterwards. I was concerned with the amount of waste with the ponchos but the bins are clearly marked right after you exit the boat. Really appreciated this and made sure to recycle our ponchos.

The park was vibrant and full of visitors. I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the park, as well as clear signage and displays for all the attractions. The highlight to me was the new visitor center. I believe the last time I tried the visitor center was 2019 and upgrades have been made. It's so modernized and attractive. Many clean bathrooms to use, lots of interactive displays, a cafe, and gift shop. You can tell a lot of money went into improving this place. I also liked that there were so many public restrooms available throughout the park and seating options including picnic tables and benches. We also saw lovely hanging baskets throughout the park. The Visitor Center inside the park isn't nearly as impressive as the Discovery Center Welcome Center, but it offers clean restrooms, a refreshment stand, and an information desk. There are also plenty of fantastic photo opportunities throughout the park and along the viewing areas. The nightly fireworks display is spectacular, though it does get crowded. For wheelchair users, there is a fabulous, spacious ramp that provides easy access down to the viewing level. Our guide Tim picked us up at the Fallsview Casino, which was convenient for us, before we picked up one more group of 2. The small group of us (4 plus Tim) was just the right size. Tim was very knowedgeable both about wine and the Niagra region. He took the time to get to know each of us and what tastes were like in wine. We stopped at 4 wineries (all were equally delicious, although I'd have to say my favorite was the red Ice Wine from Vineland) and each time Tim brought us inside, introduced us to the staff, and helped offer suggestions based on what he had learned about us. We also learned the proper way to taste at our very first stop. This was a welcome change from other tours we have done in the past where the tour bus simply stops in the parking lot while you go inside, sample, then come out when you are ready to leave. This was much more personable and made for an excellent tour experience. In addition to the 4 wineries we stopped at the Upper Canada Cheese company to sample their fine cheeses, as well as stopped mid-day in Jordan Village for lunch. The tour was well structured and you had plenty of time to shop after each tasting as well if you wanted to (although none of the wineries/staff were pushy in any way whatsoever.) Overall it was a great day, great experience, and I would certainly consider other future tours with Discovery.

This is a CAN'T MISS experience! I guarantee the first question that your friends will ask you…read moreafter your Niagara Falls vacation will be - "did you ride the boat?" Boarding experience was efficient. They have attendants to usher you into one of several elevators. Then a short walk down to the platform while you wait for one of two boats so the wait is not long. Red ponchos given to you which are complimentary. PRO TIP: you'll get the best pictures if you're lucky enough to be able to get a spot on the upper deck near the railing. We were so lucky to be "cut off" from the line ahead of us for one boat and had to wait for the next boat, which turned out to be excellent for us. I wonder if you can request to wait if it looks like you're going to be the last ones on a boat. Surely the last in line will be towards the back of the boat or on the lower deck. But even if that's you, don't be worried - the boat sails in, and then turns around to go out. So even if you are in the back, there will be an opportunity for a picture. No announcements from the captain. No demonstration of putting on life jackets or at least told where they are located. Any boat tour I've done in the US would typically have something like this. Guess it's different in Canada. Everyone loaded, the boat just goes. And what a spectacular view. Take your family pictures as you are getting close, because after a certain point, you will feel the power of the falls. Eventually all you'll be able to see is mist. And it will feel like you're caught in a rain storm. The crowd all yells, laughs, and screams in excited unison! At some point, you could even say you're just trying to survive. You'll be lucky if the poncho hood stays on your head and that it covers both of your arms. Our hats were soaked and shoes were drenched, but we had so much fun! Definitely an experience that my kids will remember for their lifetime! Highly recommend!

Tasted like it had been boiled for hours then sprayed with grill marks. Simply awful. The one and only bite I took was already half way down my throat when I realized I wanted to get as far away from it as possible. That out of the way... Everything else was a charm! I boarded Niagara City Cruises with the confidence of someone who had never seen Niagara Falls and assumed the complimentary red poncho would keep me dry. Wrong. We got absolutely blasted by the falls! It was spectacular fun! The experience began innocently enough. The falls looked beautiful from a distance. People were smiling. Birds were flying. Families were taking photos. Then the boat moved closer and nature abruptly decided that everyone on board needed a shower. Literally thousands of gallons of water a second are crashing from the sky. The poncho performed admirably if its job was protecting approximately 60 percent of my body. My hair and face were soaked. My pant legs and shoes were drenched. My poncho kept bellowing in the wind. I looked around at one point and I saw that this was everyone's story. The closer we got to the falls, the less we could see. The magnificent view slowly transformed into a white wall of mist, wind and life choices. Conversations became impossible. Communication was reduced to pointing, yelling and laughing. The power is overwhelming. The noise is deafening. The mist is relentless. The memory is unforgettable. Yes, it was incredible and I wish to have this experience -- without the hot dog -- all over again!

The crowd was light when I got there (around 5 pm on a Sunday), so I didn't have to wait long going down or up, or to get views. Anyway, it's a great time. You don't really get that wet, just misted on, and if you go during the daytime, you should dry right off in a few minutes in the sun. Self guided was you go at your own pace, and take as long or as short as you want. There are a couple of small viewing areas at the end of tunnels, and a larger open area where most of the view is. It's a brief interlude if there are no crowds, like 20-30 minutes. Obviously, crowds will make it longer, but most of that is because of waiting for the elevator going up and down, and not so much the viewing areas themselves. If you do it, consider pairing it with Niagara Takes Flight; it's in the same building, and although I didn't like it, if you want to experience it or do it, it makes sense to knock them both out while you're right there.
