I loved this salon the first couple of times I went, but honeyyyy! Today, I was treated so poorly, and I left the shop with my hair undone because I couldn't bear being ignored any longer. I thought I had found a stylist since moving to the area and I'm very disappointed with what happened today. I would've been ok with Valerie telling me not to come in or hell, say I don't want to do your hair anymore! Just horrible customer service! I've never been so offended by a stylist in my life. On top of that, all the other beauticians ignored me as well! Was I supposed to follow the stylist around or what? Yell at her? I used my ol trusty Yelp app to hunt down a stylist since I just moved to the area. I was blessed to be led to NiaNicole Salon. I called and was able to schedule a next day appointment. That was awesome. The inside of the salon very nice and spacious. All of the beauticians were very nice. Keisha got me started shampooing and conditioning my hair. I was happy with my hair as Wilecia is also natural. I felt very comfortable in her hands as we made casual talk and discussed different techniques for natural hair care. I was very excited and posted a thousand selfies all day yesterday and today of my beautiful hair! read more

I have been getting my hair done with Val for some time now. She is one of the short hair specialist. Since going to her my hair is healthy. No to mention it always looks great. She makes sure she never gives you the same style (unless you want to). The salon as a whole is a calm and relaxing place. It's clean and very well organized. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON! I had a weave done with Brittany and was scalp was so irritated that I had to immediately take it out. The hair used was also extremely cheap and not what I paid for. Brittany also did not braid my hair underneath the way I told her so there were huge lumps under my weave. When I called Brittany to inform her of the issue, she only offered a free weave in THE NEXT TIME I came back. WELL, when I called to make another appointment a couple months later, Brittany said that the free weave she promised me was only good for 30 days. WHAT?! She never said that it had an expiration date! This place does not do quality work and is untrustworthy. read more

I tried this salon for the first time. I have natural hair (no relaxer) and I am very particular about the care of my hair. I received a wash, deep conditioning and press from Keshon and she did a fantastic job. She listened and gave pointers on how to care for my hair in between salon visits. I have already booked my next appointment with her. The environment is friendly and relaxing, the owners are stylists there as well. I highly recommend them. I passed by this salon and decided to give it a try. I was seated in a chair very quickly and the stylist was nice. At the end of the appointment my hair looked great, however there services are very overpriced $85 dollars for a silk press & undercut style? I was shocked. I paid and left the salon about 10 min later all the sprial curls had dropped. My hair was flat and frizzy for $85 dollars I would expect my hairstyle to last longer than 10 min, I didn't even get into my dry way and the curls were gone. It was a sunny day no rain or humidity so I thought that was weird. I would suggest going to another salon, they are way overpriced here. read more

Very professional African-American salon. LOVE Irma and the professional experience with her every visit. Regina...from what I've seen; she is the weave queen. They have others; I just don't know the names. I pray they stay as professional as they are. I despise being a patron of an AA salon and it's a "typical" AA salon with the typical attitudes they believe I will accept. This is far from the truth as it relates to NiaNicole. From the greeting you receive when you arrive, to the assistants that wash and perform minor services that keep the stylists on schedule; very nice!!! I would love to see more decor in the salon to match the experience. A receptionist, who relates to the atmosphere, would heighten the exclusivity :-). Keep it up ladies!!!! read more

After living in Snellville for two years and driving to my hairstylist in Downtown Atlanta, I tried NiaNicole Salon. I've worn a short pixie cut for years and it's a challenge finding a stylist who specializes in short hair. The salon is nice and clean with a relaxing environment. All of the stylists are nice and professional. My stylist, Andrea at NiaNicole is awesome. She's very talented, nice, and professional. She's now my regular stylist. She has affordable prices and I always leave the salon looking like a million bucks. I'm not in the salon all day. read more

I've really been trying to like my hair but I can't. After 4 years of coming to Nia Nicole Salon it's time for me to say goodbye. My hair was arm pit length and I came here to get it cut into a pixie cut. I wish I never did. I've been getting my hair styled and cut by Irma for all this time and I thought I could trust my hair in her hands. She way over cut my hair and styled it in an unflattering way. Prior to making my appointment I informed her I had to be done by 2:30 and if she would have enough time if I came in at 1pm and she said it would be plenty of time. When I arrived at 1 she was far behind on another client. After blow drying my hair straight she began to rush through the cut but I continued to trust she knew what she was doing. I showed her a picture multiple times throughout the appointment of what I wanted the back of my hair to look like and she assured she could make it look as close to it as possible if not just like the picture. When she finished and showed me I was in shock. I didn't know what to say and at this point I was already past 2:30 and I had no time to stay for her to fix it. My hair was stiff and felt dry and my hair is normally bounced and soft after being pressed. I contacted her later and told her how awful I felt about it and she told me to come back in to fix it the next day. The entire time she was justifying and making excuses for why my hair didn't turn out like the picture. She kept saying it was because it reverted back to its natural state which I kept telling her was due to me washing out the hair spray I asked her not to put in my hair. Rather than accepting she made a mistake she blamed me for trimming my bangs and saying that was the reason she just did what she could with my bangs. I can't say anything positive about my hair because I'm honestly still in shock it was cut this short and the only condolences I received from her were "you've cut it this short before" or "there's nothing we can do about it now it's gone so we have to move on from that". No matter how short I've had my hair this isn't what I asked for. The bangs look better than the first time but it still doesn't look like anything I wanted. She continued to justify why it didn't look like what I wanted by saying my hair was natural, thinner than the woman in the picture, I had a different hairline that's why it was different (all of which should have been explained BEFORE chopping all of my hair off in hurry because she was over booked). If I knew this would happen I would've never trusted her with scissors near my head. This has severely impacted my confidence and I really regret going and spending $100 to be unhappy. 10+ inches of hair gone for nothing and now I'm depressed wanting to wear a scarf or a wig til my hair grows to a decent length so someone else can fix it. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the girl who washed my hair. I should've listened when she told me my hair was pretty and I might regret Cutting it all off. read more

This was the most professional salon I've been to in a long time. I called Saturday morning at 8am to make an appt for a keratin treatment and the owner was able to squeeze me in with on of her stylists at 9:30 am. I thought since I made a last minute appt, I would have to wait. But, that was definitely not the case. As soon as I walked in, I was promptly greeted. I only had to wait about two minutes for my stylist, Alex, to start on my hair. Alex explained everything she was doing and told me how long the process would take. While she did my hair, we had wonderful conversation and the overall experience was awesome. When she was done with my hair, i was extremely pleased. My hair had not looked that great in a very lo g time. I will definitely be returning and suggest anybody in the snellville/Lawrenceville area with naturally tightly- curled hair to give them a try!!! read more

I used to go here years ago, but stopped because of the high prices and lack of customer service. I see not much has changed. I decided to give them another try recently. The stylist tried to overcharge me for services that I did not ask for as we talked during the consultation. Her attitude was quite nasty and sarcastic. I set the appointment anyway, but she did not show up. She told the receptionist, who called her to tell her I was there, that I was late which is why she left. She showed up at 10, but the appointment we made was for 11 and I was on time. No other stylist was available, so I ended up going to another salon. I am very disappointed with this experience and remember why I stopped coming here. I won't be returning. read more

I began going to Nia Nicole salon approximately a year ago. I am not from GA and searched quite awhile to find an upscale salon with patient and professional stylists. I am super picky about my hair and wanted a stylist who would not only have my hair looking nice, but also maintain its health. I go to Wilecia who is the owner and she does a great job always. She takes care of the salon and ensures it's a safe and comfortable environment for both stylists and clients. Definitely recommend!!! read more

There are not many African-American salons in this area, and Nia Nicole Salon is top notch. I was styled by Brandi. She is professional and has a kind spirit. She is very talented with scissors! I went in to get my hair done with my hair over my shoulders in length and the problem I had was , I told the stylist to trim my hair and to keep my length and layers. She cut my hair so short and it's so uneven and now it looks thinner than it did before. I bought hair with me and asked her about if I needed hair put in for thickness which ,yes I did needed it because my hair looked thin and she said no , I guess because she didn't feel like putting it in. So, she washed and cut my hair and charged me $90 . I never had a wash, cut and style without hair being put in for $90. I will not be going back there. That's ridiculous and price gauging. Horrible place to go if you've made your appointment ahead of time, excited to get your hair done, and get a call from your stylist wanting to cancel. This happened to me one to many times. Do not go to Regina or Valerie. They're time management skills are HORRENDOUS. Especially Regina. I've never met a woman who schedules your appt at 6, but already has 4 people in front of you!!! It's ridiculous. If you can't manage the time well because you're too greedy trying to get as many heads as you can, that's fine, but watch as you lose so much service. I hate this place. This salon is expensive and overrated.I had a sew- in done by the owner (Wilechia). I had to pay half of the sew-in cost upfront ($125.)when I made the appt which was a little weird. I've never had to pay to hold an appointment and my hair has been done by celebrity stylists. When I arrived she had another client she was doing a weave on which is fine if the stylist can handle two customers at the same time. With the lack of attention shown my sew in was not installed correctly. My side part was wrong, she left too much of my hair out, she didn't want to use a net , and she only sewn in 1 1/2 out of my 3 bundles of hair. I complained and told her I didn't like it. It really needed to be done over from scratch I payed anyway and left the salon. Upset with how my $250 hair looks I called to try to get it taken out and she didn't have any convienent appointment s for me not did she seems concerned that I will still unhappy with her services. Never again will I got to a place like this. read more
