Not the best, but not the worst. Would not recommend for big moves. First - they tell you that you get 4 movers, but it really translates into 3 scrawny guys that arent all that strong, and 1 guy (Sergey) that sits in his truck and watches videos and smokes the whole time. Second - the guys arent strong, and I have some heavy pieces. They even apologized to me, admitting they were not that strong. Movers did a great job, however the manager, Sergey, wasn't up front about the cost. I called in advance to ask if I should buy supplies and they told me that they provided everything. On the morning of the move the guy tried to charge me $200 extra for 6 rolls of tape and a roll of shrink wrap - at that point I had no choice but to buy the supplies that I could have gotten for $50 at Home Depot. At the end I told him how much I could afford to tip and he made me feel super uncomfortable because it wasn't up to his standards. Buyer beware - they brag about being a discount mover, but they hit you with last minute inflated costs for supplies and tolls. Won't use them again. This is my first review I have ever given. I thought It was important for other people to read so the same thing does't happen to them like it did to me. I called a month before my move date. I explained that I have a big home with expensive furniture. I specifically asked for "seasoned movers". I was told that wasn't a problem. Well...problem started as soon I saw the "crew" of guys that was sent to my home. I decided very early on in the day that they would be nicknamed the "peanut gallery". Why? These 3 "Kids" were no more than 20 years old with NO experience in moving what so ever! Put it this way, my 15yr old son was bigger than one of them!!! It was evident as soon as they started wrapping my furniture. One held the blanket, one held the furniture & one tapped (excessively) the furniture. The 4th guy Michael, sat in the truck most of the day and smoked along with the rest of the crew. His only asset to the move. He was good at organizing things to fit in the truck. Michael was rude, arrogant, condescending, pushy, I could keep going on... I wish that was the only problem with my move. I'm just going to list things so you can understand the disbelief I was in the day of my move. The boys left all their snacks strewn all over my lawn. They had NO intension of picking it up. I had to ask them to get rid of their garbage. Michael seemed pissed off when I asked him "Are they going to clean that up" The boys had no beverages or lunch. They used my refrigerator all day (which is fine). But, hey even asked me for sodas, Which weren't good enough because they were diet. I was told my Michael, I needed to order them "2 large pizzas with mushrooms & extra cheese, 6 sodas and Ice tea. Seriously? If your an experienced mover. You bring your lunch cooler with you! Or better yet... Call Dominos YOURSELF!!! The boys didn't bring any box cutter to cut the Massively tapped Everything (because YOU pay for supplies) from the furniture. They kept borrowing ours. The boys didn't bring a power drill to resemble the furniture. They kept borrowing ourw. The boys left ALL packing tape and rolls EVERYWHERE in both houses! Aren't they supposed to clean up THEIR crap the end of the move? NOPE Apparently NOT! I had to. My office chair obviously got dropped. The top had a big chunk missing. I confronted Michael and he said "what do you want me to do about it" "you want money, how much"? He was not even sorry. There were so many other issues I had with this moving company.... Yikes. Had an awful experience with Nice Move, will not use them again. I had a very simple move. Couldn't get an explanation on the paperwork, they threatened to leave. Finally go them back to work. Sergey smoked constantly, with the smoke coming in to my home. He spent most of the move telling me how many other people wanted his moving service that day, and how lucky I was to have him working with me. I didn't have the heart to point out that most people don't plan a move "hoping" that a mover will be available that same day. He twice asked to use my phone, and basically demanded that I write a five star review. Super high pressure, and so odd considering they knew I was dissatisfied. Booked Nice move early Dec based on there reviews , spoke with a man named mike who let me know upfront that there is a non refundable 150.00 deposit Incase of a cancellation.(No Problem) Here's where things go wrong the moving truck was to arrive at 7-7:30am mike confirmed the day before ,the next morning 7:15 am comes and someone calls telling me that the truck won't start they are trying to fix the problem ( A big moving company 5 locations and only 1 truck ) calls back at 9 telling me truck is being repaired hope to arrive at noon .Truck shows up 4 1/2 later than scheduled . Workers did an awesome job but Management/Mike never called to apologize for the problem or even offered deduct a few dollars for sitting around and waiting for movers to show. read more

I used Nice Move Inc. for my move last week (10/29/2018). Although a mirror was broken while they were packing up my TVs, I still originally wanted to rate them 5 stars since they were very fast and efficient in moving my belongings from Union City to Cliffside Park, as well as making a stop at my storage unit in West New York. However, a few hours after they had left, when I was unpacking, I realized that something was missing. I had used a hooded sweatshirt that had sentimental value (and also was NOT cheap) to cover the top of one of the bags that had been moved. As soon as I realized this, I called the guy who had been the driver for my move. He told me that he would check the truck later that night or in the morning and let me know if he found anything. I never heard back from him. I am still currently unpacking, so I am not sure if there is anything else missing at this point. I am extremely disappointed that something was stolen from me during this move, especially since I had tipped each of the movers (there were 4) $50. read more

We recently moved from long branch out to Queens and had a great experience with NICE MOVE. We dealt with Sergey and he quoted a fair price and provide us with all the information we needed to prepare. When the big day arrived, the 4 movers showed up on time and quickly and carefully packed up our small studio. Since we were moving from an elevator building to a walk-up, the tough part was having them move all our stuff up 4 flights of stairs. They did not disappoint, they made it look easy and nothing was broken! We will definitely be using them again! read more

The crew consists of three skinny young boys and a driver who just sits in the truck. He'll try to charge you at least $70 for tape even if you say you don't want to use his tape. Also, insistently, he'll make you write a review in front of him and write it on your phone when after a several hours you are exhausted and just want this move to be over. read more

I'm writing this review as I'm waiting for my newly hired movers to arrive since we had to cancel our move with Nice Move this morning. Sergey arrived with his foreman-in-training. Right off the bat, Sergey did all the talking. Interrupting my questions, husband's, and even his foreman's. We were made to listen to a long explanation about how we will be charged for tape and plastic wrap that will be used at a "discount" price, with blankets included for free. He quoted $200. TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for tape!!! Mind you, we already wrapped our mirrors, mattresses, and bookcase. We are also in a one bedroom apartment. Not much left to wrap. As my husband tried to explain that this should have been stated prior (it's a significant charge) and that none of the other movers (this is our sixth move in the past three years) have charged for tape and wrap, Sergey would constantly interrupt with his own theories- our movers must have been slow and lazy or charged ridiculous sums. (They were great and sadly booked.) In the end, or choice was wrap for $200, don't wrap but legs might fall off of our furniture if they drop it accidentally, or cancel. We chose to cancel. Do you know HOW rude a person has to be for us to cancel our entire move with them the day of with no back up??? We could not work with them and took our chances. They were the worst. They spoke Russian frequently and laughed at us. It made my mother and I very uncomfortable. The lead guy Mike, was horrible. He over charged us for all these misc items and then tried to pressure us for a tip, which I'm glad I did not succumb to. They also left garbage and tape for us to clean up. I don't know if this company is under new management but they used to be so much better/professional in the past. For example, the main owner just barged into the building and used the bathroom without even just asking if it was okay. I find it astonishing that someone can just invite themselves like that into someone else's home. Sergei yelled constantly at all the people on his team and made it so, so uncomfortable to witness such berating. Simply knowing that this is how people are treated at this company is enough for me to never use them again. As for the actual moving and packing, the guys did a good job for the most part packing except when it came to reassembly, they put together part of our furniture incorrectly, and we had to reassemble part of it ourselves once they had left. We were also told loading would take 2-2.5 hours but it actually took ~4 hours because multiple long breaks were taken, resulting it a rushed job at the end (thus probably resulting in the incorrect assembly). Overall, I could not in good conscience recommend using this company because of how poorly I saw the workers treated and the complete lack of professionalism from the owner. read more

I have never written a bad review on a service before but I feel like I have to share my terrible experience with this company so others will be more careful when booking. I cannot say anything about the actual moving of items since it never got to that point. This is strictly just about the customer service. I called Nice Move Inc and spoke with Michael a week in advance to schedule movers on Saturday between 7:30am and 8am. On Saturday at 8am, movers didn't show up. I called Nicr Move Inc to make sure the movers were on their way, but Michael told me "a lady" called two days prior and changed the date to Wednesday. But no one I know changed the date. I explained this to Michael but he claimed "the lady" (he does not have a first name) gave him the correct phone number and current address so he had no reason to question her identity. So if no one changed the address for me and Michael claimed "the lady" gave him my information, that meant someone I do not know had my information, took the time to call the moving company I hired and rescheduled my moving day?! I was confused and upset but there was no point in arguing any further. So I asked Michael what he could do for me since I still needed movers. He told me he would call me between 12pm-1pm and let me know if there were movers available on that same day. If not, he would book Sunday for me. So 1pm passed and I never received a call from Michael. I called Nice Move Inc again and he said it would have to be Sunday since he still wasn't sure if there were movers available that day. He said he would keep me posted if it ever changes. After hanging up, I called another moving company and asked if they had movers available that afternoon. Lucky they did and told them I would call them back. I immediately called Nice Move Inc to cancel. I called back the new company and booked movers for that afternoon. 30 minutes later, I get a call from Michael asking if I was sure I still wanted to cancel because for some miracle, he now had movers available and they can be at my place in one hour. I told him, "no thanks, everything has being taken care of." I do not know what really happened with the scheduling. Did "a lady" really call Nice Move Inc and gave them my information and changed the moving day? Or was it all a lie to cover up a mistake? Or maybe that is just how Nice Move Inc regularly runs their business? Whatever it may be, it was a terrible experience. It was very frustrating and that is something one does not need when trying to relocate. There are tons of other movers out there so I would recommend you go for them. But if you really want to choose Nice Move Inc, just be careful and make sure your moving day is confirmed. That might mean calling Nice Move Inc everyday till the day of your scheduled move just in case some mysterious "lady" with your information and changes your date. read more

Nice movers were not nice to me. Very disappointed with the service received. Booked their $395 for 4 guys for 2.5 hours + $120 every hour package. 4 guys that showed up included 3 boys who appeared to be in their early teens plus the boss man. The boss man did not participate on loading or unloading but just took pleasure in shouting at the boys and took calls and smoke breaks at my dime. And of course he was rude when I pointed out that his price was included in what I was paying. He threatened to stop working. The boys were hardworking but clearly had no exp in packing or moving . They loaded up the truck with all the cartons and then took it down and loaded up the heavier furniture - either lack of exp or clearly a strategy to extend hours. They will try to charge you extra for everything including tapes - they charged me $75 for fee roles they used. I ended up unloading stuff in my garage as opposed to wasting time with them. Got some local help to get things moved. I am not going to move for a few years but even if I did , I know who I am not going to use! read more

If i could give Zero stars i would. They were THE worst movers i have ever had.. they told me $800 for the move no hidden fees, the end of the day they charged me $2000 because "it took so long" i only had furniture for 3 bedrooms and some boxes. They are very condescending... i heard one of them bad mouthing me as i walked out of my bedroom after telling them how i wanted my furniture (for the second time) but they put it how they wanted to put it and then broke my bed and broke a front leg of the armoire but placed it on top of the broken leg anyway and left it like that thinking i would never notice but thank god i did because i have a toddler who could have been crushed to death by it. (Very heavy expensive furniture)... they put multiple holes in my walls, they broke my refrigerator, they assembled my sons crib wrong, we ordered them pizza and they ate it and left the crusts and whatever they didn't eat, on my toddlers dresser and floor!!! They also didn't want to take the parkway and claimed they didn't have GPS so they had to follow us on traffic filled roads and ended up i guess not paying attention and took a wrong turn, we got to the house about 20 mins before them. I would be absolutely shocked if they are still in business. read more

This is truly a bait and switch company. Moving company quoted us 4 to 6 hours that our move would take and it ended up taking double that time and costing almost twice the amount of their quote. Movers kept a couple of boxes on the truck and stopped unloading to ensure payment was received before they finished unpacking their truck. They also showed up with a smaller truck than needed and couldn't fit everything in the truck and said they would have to make two trips. 4 guys in total showed up and two guys spent nearly two hours putting together items when we got to our new location. The guys that were carrying items from the truck to the house only carried one item at a time. This company is not legit and will scam you into paying a lot more than they quoted you for. Stay away. I am disputing this charge on my credit card and hopefully will recover costs so they meet their quote. read more
