This place is a dream come true. I am a huge collector of Barbies, especially from the 80s and 90s. There are certain Barbies I have been looking for years and have been keeping an eye on them on eBay. I stumbled upon this place when I did a search for certain Barbies, and was so excited to see this store carried a lot of them, and it was not too far from me! What was even more exciting is not only do they carry Barbies, they carry so many other dolls and toys from my childhood! Gasp! At first I contacted them via email to have them hold the Barbies I wanted to buy because a couple of them are in high demand and I knew by the time I got there they would be gone. The owner was super gracious to hold them for me and even double checked with me when some other folks had inquired about them to make sure I still wanted them. Walking into the store, I could hardly contain myself and I'm not even joking. I bought the Barbies that I wanted and even found another one, and I cannot wait to go back and peruse. Check out the website as they have a lot of their items on the site but be advised if you are local, you should go into the shop because there's more on the shelves that are not on the website. We frequently visit the store and each time we visit the store has a plethora of incredible Barbie dolls, Barbie clothes, American Girl Doll accessories, and more to choose from. You know you have passed by many times, tempted: 'should I enter or should I go?'. You confess to yourself that yes, you were scared of the 'scary-exorcist girl' look of some of the vintage dolls on display. You think you recognize some of them from your worst nightmares. Until one day, you are chilling in Campbell with a friend who dos not know more than you about dolls history in the US, for the same reason of being born in a foreign country. So we dare to open that door an a Pandora box of history and stories opened up with it. A mix of store and museum, Nice Twice Doll Shop is a blend of thrift shop a play house for adults. Because I presume are mostly nostalgic adults of their childhood the buyers for these dolls with hairstyles and clothes from the '30s, '40s...until our days. The Barbie dolls collection is impressive (my favorite the ones from the '70s, with their flower power hippie dresses and hair. You also get the hyper realistic babies, with human hair and eyelashes and eyes that are staring at you from any angle (yes, a little creepy but they have their audience too). Two days before Christmas and my brother didn't have any gifts for mom. She collects vintage Barbies, so as a shot in the dark I Googled "vintage Barbie Bay Area" to see if there were any places (aside from a couple I'm aware of) where he could buy something in person, since ordering online was no longer an option given the time frame he was working in. Nice Twice came up and we made plans to drive down there early the next day. If you collect pretty much ANY dolls, this place is a must-see. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, nothing but dolls of virtually every era. There was no one in the shop when we walked in, and Bonnie, the owner, greeted us and asked if were looking for anything in particular. I told her vintage Barbie, she asked what era, and then walked us over to what we were looking for. However, bear in mind that all SORTS of things are mixed in with each other throughout the store. The nicest Barbies are organized in the cabinets, but cases, playsets, and more are hiding amongst the store's offerings, and the vintage clothes are in the back and you have to ask to see them. Matt, the store's resident Barbie expert, came in after my brother and I spent probably an hour standing around talking to Bonnie about all sorts of things completely unrelated to dolls. Contrary to some of the negative reviews on here about her, I actually found Bonnie to be incredibly welcoming and very, very interesting to talk to. She had a lot of intriguing stories and opinions to share. Matt was a wealth of knowledge, and when I asked if they had certain vintage items, he knew their inventory really well and didn't have to take too long searching through their back room to tell me whether they did or didn't have something. Whether we collectors like it or not, vintage Barbie has gotten crazy expensive and will, unfortunately, likely only go up from here. Regardless, I thought Nice Twice's prices were fair and pretty in line with what I see other collectors asking online. Nothing over the top or outrageous, and all of the vintage clothes were carefully packaged on/in comic book boards and bags, with the outfit name and price written on the back of the board, along with descriptions of any missing items or imperfections on the pieces. They also had a modest selection of vintage Little Kiddles, including the perfume and soda bottles. My brother ended up leaving with two for mom, and I found her a couple of vintage Francie outfits that were just way too cute and in VERY good condition. Nice Twice is a wonderful, rare type of shop, and Bonnie and Matt know their stuff (especially Matt). After about two hours in here I still don't feel like I saw anywhere near everything they have to offer, but I get the feeling mom is going to want to come dig through here so I'll have an opportunity to come back again. Visiting a friend in the Bay Area. I was so excited to find that there was a dedicated doll store within a short driving distance. (And happy she was kind enough to take me there!) At first it was a little overwhelming to walk into Nice Twice but once I acclimated, I was so happy to see all of the little doll faces smile up at me. Favorites from my childhood, antiques, newer dolls. They were all there. I found it well organized and very clean. I had a great conversation with the gentleman at the front. He was happy to take out anything I was interested in seeing and filled me in on the histories of the dolls. I went home with 2 childhood favorites, a doll who I thought was just cute, and some clothing for dolls I have at home. Doll store Karen the owner is over the top. My daughter was window shopping and we made tge cardinal sin of parking our bikes in the public space in front of the shop. Doll store karen came storming out shouting and moving our bikes. We acknowledged thay they should be moved but asked for 1 moment to finish paying. And she began making a scene that they should have never been there. Even as we were moving them she was still shouting. The worst experience I've had in years! I brought what used to be my mother's (RIP) porcelain Victoria Ashlea Originals musical porcelain doll seeking to have it repaired and restored to its original beauty. The woman who was in charge dismissed me in no time at all. She told me the doll was called Ashlea!!! Obviously, and sadly, she didn't even know this was the name of the manufacturer! This is an antique doll, but she told me in very unfriendly terms and unprofessional manner that the doll was worth a mere $20, without obviously even taking a look at it. And, she added that this shop doesn't restore dolls! An obvious misstatement and false offer on their advertising. Very poor manners and marketing. read more

This store is a mixture of creepy and awesome. This place has to be an avid doll collector's dream. As I walked in, it sort of reminded me of the show Hoarder's. I mean every corner, every section was filled with dolls and accessories. The owner was very nice and sweet. She explained that she has been here collecting and selling dolls since 1984. Some of the dolls still had old price tags from emporium and the old orange Toys R' Us tags. All the dolls were literally from every era. I seen dolls with afro's, bell bottoms, 90210 dolls, you name it, this store has it. I was blown away. This is definitely a go-to-place for doll collector's. Never seen anything like it. I am not a doll collector, I sort of stumbled upon this store by accident, but so glad I did. You do not see local businesses like this anymore. I love this place!!! If you want to step into your childhood toys ( for me Barbie) this is the place to go. Bonnie is a super sweet person. I have enjoyed every conversation we have when I visit. Contrary to some comments, Bonnie likes kids, but would like parents to keep an eye on them given that her store is full of expensive vintage toys that frankly most items are irreplaceable. So parents control your kids, period! I have brought my kids in and there are no issues, because they know how to behave and not to runaround and touch items. I go to her store at least once a month and it is always a positive experience, whether I purchase something or not. She is always pleasant and welcoming. If you are looking for vintage toys at a reasonable price, this is the place for you! Be warned, you can get lost for hours just looking at all the vintage toys she has. read more

(maybe because I spent over 130 in the store) The woman working was very nice and very attentive to my needs. Picking up an original Crissy doll with the box and 2 Frank Sinatra dolls, I was just in heaven!!! The prices were reasonable, I mean this is a vintage store so things will be pricey. Cant low ball, dont bother coming in lol. You get what you pay for. One of the Frank Sinatra dolls box was torn and broken, so the woman gave me a great discount because of the defect. Walking around Campbell with my niece told her we would pop in real quick, just to look around at the "antique dolls." They have all kinds! Spice Girls, (from when my daughter was a kid) Sunshine Family, Tiffany (from when I was a kid.) It really brought back so many memories!
