They had a bar with two staff members that kept the line moving and the drinks flowing with great personalities. The passed appetizers were all delicious. The staff that passed them around was also pleasant and not at all pushy or intrusive. Dinner was excellent. The staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone getting married or looking to host a party in a beautiful setting. Thanks for the great time!

Since the bride & groom footed the bill I enjoyed even more but never the less I throughly was impressed by facility's and it's offerings. Leon the car greeted me when I strolled over from the parking lot into the pre-cocktail area. Now if you didn't get greeted by a big black cat you didn't get the full treatment. Main hall for the postnuptial party was moderate size so you can dance and still enjoy your cocktails. Outside had a swinging chair for some evening inappropriate groping. Well, once the evening was over you defiantly wanna gave GPS ready cause it's pitch black and no real indicator on how to get home. Love the venue it was amazing!

It is different every day. It appears very Victorian, but there is a hidden TV in one of the downstairs rooms, and there is free wi-fi. It is tricky to get to, but well worth the trip. If you are going to be anywhere near Woonsocket, this is the place to stay. Heck, if you are staying in Providence, I'd still drive here to stay. This was our second time here (we stayed for 4 days both times).

We stayed in the Garden Room, spacious and with a king size bed, very nicely decorated. On the problem side, the room was chilly and the only heating sources came from a window air conditioner/heater, which did nothing but blow luke war air into the cool room. We chose the alternative, a small electric fire place which, over a l-o-n-g period of time actually warmed the room to a comfortable level, while adding a romantic ambience to the charming room. We had a private bathroom, well-equipped and boasting a spacious walk-in tiled shower. The bed was perfectly comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast, the second phase ofany Bed & Breakfast experience, was okay, but not great. We had fresh fruit salad, warm corn bread, lots of delicious hot coffee, and a little tiny dry veggie frittata. Ho hum. To make matters worse, the server seemed to have nothing better to do than to hang over the back of one of the chairs and engage us in endless conversation abut her life. Not cool. Breakfast would have been improved with twice the food and none of the intrusive conversation. Overall, our stay was okay, but I think I would look elsewhere should I return to the area for an overnight stay.

We continue to love the CDH and always look to book here first when visiting our son at RISD!…read more At this point, i've probably stayed here 6 or 7 times over the past couple of years and aside from an uncomfortable breakfast during a covid holiday season (someone working breakfast accused me of not paying for the third person in our party, which I had, and even offered to explain that the office may have not communicated that to the kitchen...yet they continued to question me as all other diners watched), we have had a wonderful experience every time. The building is beautiful, every room i've ever stayed in has been lovely and the breakfast is almost always GREAT!

Found this quaint gem through Yelp reviews and tried to secure a reservation through my phone (got stuck so I had to call to follow up). Luckily the gentleman who was managing that night (I'm sorry I forgot his name due to all the stops we made), took my reservation over the phone, greeted us when we got there and made us feel welcome. Stayed in the King 3 and loved the historic feel of the place, comfy bed, sound proof glass in the room helped keep the noice down from the highway nearby and the breakfast the next morning was the best we had on our trip. Such an lovely place to stop on our travels, great find.

But I'm here to talk about smells. They clean the floors with lemon-scented Pine Sol. The downstairs is all hardwood floors so it has a distinct lemon smell in the air. The room was lovely but they washed the blankets, sheets, pillowcases, and towels with a strong scented detergent. As a super smeller, this was really my only complaint. If I hadn't brought my own pillow, I would have had to leave. Luckily I was able to sleep with help from allergy meds and my personal pillow. The smell of the air outside was clean and beautiful. Fresh Connecticut air! If detergent smells don't bother you, this is a great place to stay. I suggest they consider switching to hypoallergenic (free &. clear) detergent for those of us very sensitive noses!

This is a B&B AND has the service of a 5 start hotel in NYC! Rooms are so clean, spacious and provide EVERYTHING you need. Beth, Priscilla & Mauricio are SO attentive, welcoming and amazing hosts. I don't right reviews even if I'm happy with something, I ONLY write reviews if I'm blown away. We loved it so much we decided to stay an extra night. Look no further, Watson is the best of the best. My husband and I will surely be returning!
