You can tell that this place has NOT been cleaned in months. It's so so important to maintain cleanliness, especially during these times we're in where proper sanitation is essential. No wipes or spray bottles for any equipment as well. Please step-up cleaning procedures for everyone's safety.

He is a former Division 1 college baseball player so you'll see him training a lot of the area's top high school players who are looking to be better before they leave to play college baseball. I definitely wish a place like this was around when I was in high school. Most importantly, Major League Performance is owned by a local small business owner, Chris, that went to high school at Granite Bay. I swore it off however I went and tried other studios where I could get more confident and understand the form. So coming back to Instaphysique I had more of a foundational knowledge and knew what was ahead of me. But not only that but you also start to find instructors that you prefer their cues and/or energy and that makes a HUGE difference. I love my classes Kristin and Marisa. Clear cues and they have no mercy on my hammies and booty cheeks - but in a good way. When I started I was 5 months postpartum and they were very dedicated to giving me modifications but as soon as my strength started to build again, they challenged me without being pushy or making me feel bad if I couldn't follow. Some tactical things: parking is great in the morning but once 12p and beyond hit, you're fighting lunch and dinner crowds in the parking lot. Not impossible but just not princess parking. There are two clean restrooms in the studio. There isn't really a designated bag/shoe place but you can have it at your station or against the wall. Classes are a bit pricey, I have a membership to cut some cost. However, it's a great 40 minutes and it goes by super fast. I find it to be a VERY efficient burn.

What really stands out is the staff and the other members. Everyone is chill and genuinely helpful. No one feels judgy, and asking for a spot doesn't feel weird. If you have a question, people are cool about it. That kind of atmosphere makes it easy to keep showing up. The Skelcore machines are some of the most ergonomic equipment I've ever used. Everything feels smooth, controlled, and dialed in. If something breaks, it's fixed promptly. There's also equipment there I've never seen before until now that really comes in clutch when you want to train a movement a certain way. I thought I had done Zumba before- but never anything like this! Tavio made it a whole show and experience.... from featuring guests on stage to dance next to him and help lead - to getting us to bring out our confidence and add our own style and sexiness, to creating a whole dance battle... it was such an epic experience! The Group X room is the biggest I have seen too and it's nice there is a stage so you can get a good view from anywhere in the room. It's a bit of a drive - but we had so much fun we definitely wanna make it at least once a month. I also appreciated that when I reserved my spot and called to add my buddy pass- the worker (I can't remember her name) was very accommodating and helpful. I explained that we were coming from a long way and I just wanted ensure there would be space for us...so she made it happen! Thank you so much! Jason and his coaching staff are fantastic, focused on proper lifting techniques and can coach anyone at any level. Just learning? Perfect. Coming back with some experience? Cool they can help you fix improper techniques you may have learned somewhere else. The community in the classes is fun can be competitive if you want to be but overall it's a great vibe in every class I've been in. If you have goals the coaches can help you get there. Personally I wanted help with nutrition, I had an initial conversation with Jason about what I wanted to do as well as follow up questions and he's been there to answer them all and help me not only drop weight I wanted to but maintain and grow my strength. You can go to any gym find weights and lift. Restore has a sense of community where everyone wants to see each other succeed and will root them on.
