The crew themselves were hard workers and clearly skilled in their trade. That said, with a project of this scale, I found that being a highly involved homeowner was necessary. Tiles in an outdoor patio is uncommon, so we had a lot of questions from the grading to rebar to water proofing to sealent to grout. FG answered all the questions and accommodated our requests to align with the tile vendor recommendations. Price competitiveness: We spoke with 4 paver companies. 1 didn't want to do Porcelain tiles+ Paver, 1 didn't meet our budget, job was too small for one. Project Management: regular site visits by the site lead. Eduardo is a gem. They helped us pick the right material, picked up the tiles, did the dry layout and kept us updated on the schedule Work site: Saul and his team were punctual, spotless at the end of workday and walked through every step of the process. We've been through the whole process of getting quotes and browsing through Yelp for contractors and I can definitely say that the next time we have a landscaping project come up, we're going straight to Jeff. We received 5 estimates for our backyard - from companies large and small - and Jeff was the only one who actually listened to what we wanted and then gave thoughtful suggestions based on his expertise and actually had a vision for the space. Nearly every other company asked what we wanted but never asked any follow up questions or showed any interest in providing an expert opinion. That would be fine if I was a landscape architect and a botanist but... I'm not!! Jeff is extremely valuable not only for the high quality work that he and his team does, but for the knowledge and expertise that he brings to the table, and the fact that he actually CARES. Early on in the estimate process I mentioned to Jeff that we recently had a baby and that part of my motivation for updating our backyard was to make the space more functional as a fun play space for our son as he grows up. Jeff constantly tweaked the design and approach to accommodate this ultimate goal for the space. He purposefully laid out the plants and trees so that our son could run through the landscape once it grows in (which is tricky because the hillside is steep), he brought in extra boulders to give him something to climb up on and jump off of, and consciously steered us away from any poisonous or dangerous plants. Now, with the design that Jeff laid out, we are so so excited to see our son enjoy the backyard for years to come!! I should also mention that I have strong opinions when it comes to the design and layout of our home which made Jeff's approach even more impressive. He came back with an almost $14K estimate on April 14. I'm 66 and have lung cancer, and needed the work done, so I signed the paperwork. Then the waiting game started. Over the next month I contacted the company at least 5 times by phone and email. First the wife/secretary was sick, then they were out of town, then "we're working on the May calendar", then another excuse, followed by silence. Since then my son-in-law and I got the ground leveled and prepped and are laying the pavers this weekend. Remember I'm 66 with terminal cancer and already have the pavers AND bullnose. It's NOT THAT HARD. The pergola's going in next week. It's very frustrating to deal with a contractor that has absolutely no communication skills. If you don't want the job, just tell me, don't jack me around for a month. Estimate expired May 14. Such a waste of what little time I have left. Three thumbs WAY down for this bozo.

Aaron is a man of his word but prefers to conduct most of his business through texting. We first contacted LEI and they promptly scheduled a time to visit our property with YPG to see what was possible within the budget we set out. A later approximate time for planting was set, but that was dependent on the availability of the various plants we had selected. I originally had my pool deck installed back in 2009 and I wanted to match for my current project. Kevin helped coordinate a special-order request by working with the manufacturer's representative to especial order the exact product. After about two months, the pavers arrived and were delivered. However, I noticed right away that the quality was not the same as my original pavers. Since it was a large order, I was very stressed and immediately contacted Kevin to see what could be done. Kevin quickly arranged for a sales representative to come to my home and inspect the pavers. After reviewing them, the representative explained that the manufacturing materials had changed compared to the original product. As an end user, I would not have known this difference or how it might affect the final result. Unfortunately, the return request was initially denied. Kevin didn't stop there--he escalated the issue to higher management on my behalf. Within just a few days, the return was approved. He then helped me quickly reorder a different paver option so my contractors could continue the project without delay. Throughout the entire process, Kevin was extremely responsive, patient, and supportive. In addition, when I visited their showroom, I purchased some natural stone pieces on clearance for my patio steps. After the installation was partially done, I realized the color did not match my patio as expected, and Kevin kindly accepted the return without any hassle. Nick and his crew are truly the most professional, hard working and cleanest crew I have had the pleasure of working with. We needed demo to start on a Saturday and Friday evening we did not have a contract in hand. Nick not only committed to the project on the spot, he brought in 13 workers of which all were extremely pleasant to work with and not only was this the cleanest demo I have ever experienced, but they knocked it out of that park with the schedule. We had this scheduled to take 3 working days and instead Nick and his crew completed this in 2 working days! Now let's paint the picture... Removing 8 walls, gutting the entire house, exposing master, living, dining rooms and kitchen ceilings, removing a center of the house fire place and the kicker... In foreseen 6" deep cement floated subfloor in the hall and entry that needed jack hammering... Yes completed cleaned and could have a pick nick in the house after day 2.. I have to say I was extremely pleased with Nick's Hauling. I was limited on time to move and things kept falling through. My friend suggested I call a moving company so after calling several who mind you didn't show up, or call back hours later or not until the next day and were overly priced - right when I had given up gave one more a try. I came across Nick's Hauling! I called yesterday and he right away set up a time via text which was great because it's hard for me to answer my phone at work. He kept in contact letting me know he was on the way and showed up with a smile on his face which was refreshing after the nightmare I went through with other moving companies. I called Nicks Demo & Hauling on a spur of the moment to take away a hot tub that was an eye sore. From the beginning I was impressed. He texted me to let me know he was running late to get me the quote, and kept me informed on his arrival. Very considerate!!! The haul away day was a Saturday morning at 8 am! I'm a Realtor in the SF Bay Area needing occasional contractor services for my listings. We recently needed a fence repair that the HOA required just before we were ready to close. With only a days notice we had a great estimate and a crew on site. Nick was the first call response for my junk removal request on Yelp. They came out to my yard and removed quite a bit of junk and hauled it all, up the stairs and into their trailer. The quote I received was absurdly high. I asked for hauling for junk that took an area of about 7x9x4 and some yard cleanup. He quoted me $3200 for the entire job. When I asked how much for just the hauling he quoted $1250. I called another company and got a quote for $180. I don't know if he misunderstood the ask but there is no way that hauling some junk should be $1250. read more

I have not used Nick's Demo & Hauling but live next door to where he and his crew are working. Hauling, weed whacking front/back yard, power washing, cutting trees and clearing surrounding area from debris. I'm impressed all this has been done in such a short time and will call Nick when I need their help. read more

This type of service does not happen by accident-- it takes a lot of effort. I contacted them to get rid of some heavy oak furniture. You know, things like an entertainment center. None of that stuff is worth anything, so I requested an online quote. The owner, Nick, got back to me right away. As promised, the team appeared early on Thursday morning and made quick work of about 15 cubic yd of furniture/junk. I held the front door open, whilst they moved gigantic pieces of furniture. I am delighted with their service as well as their professionalism. Also, very reasonable prices. Honestly, I cannot think of any way they could improve. Quick, professional service. What more could you want? They also took the cat tree, which was a plus-- but my wife tells me I need to order a new cat condo ASAP.
