We had an issue with our GFCI Outlet and notified the property manager. They scheduled Nick for the next day. Nick sent us a text in the morning to give us a realistic time for his arrival. An hour before his arrival he called to confirm and beat his arrival time by two minutes. He evaluated the outlet and went to the panel. Upon his arrival we discussed what I experienced over the last day and a half. He removed the outlet, ran a few tests and went outside. He walked me through what he found and determined the main breaker was the problem due to normal west and tear. He coordinated with the property management company which was a labor of its own. Once he received approval he completed the rebuild and walked me through the finished repair. The entire process was roughly 90 minutes. Most of it waiting for the approval. Nick was professional, polite, kind, and a nice person to deal with during this repair. I would highly recommend him to anyone for their electrical needs. Turns out the work was incomplete and a poor job was done to say the least. First, the City of Riverside came to me and fined me for lack of permits which electrician was to obtain before commencing the job. In addition, I just learned during building & safety inspection that ground was removed during the change upgrade of panel box, so for the past 6 months, my home was considered high hazard due to no grounding. Also, three exposed leads that did not have caps that were just taped together unknowing of where they went to. Some outlets not working and no ground or bonding of water heater or gas and that's something any competent electrician should know must be done. Also, the electrical over the roof should have been upgraded but wasn't. read more

We turned off our main breaker to install a ceiling light and when we went to turn it back on, it wouldn't budge. No matter how much we tried and googled and called anyone who has any basic electrical knowledge, we couldn't get the breaker to switch back on.. so naturally we thought maybe it's something else and we broke it. I even tried to hit it with a rock as google suggested that it could be stuck, and still nothing. So now not having electricity for half the day, we requested quotes from quite a bit of electricians, and of course they couldn't come out due to it being a Sunday afternoon. Luckily Nick answered and said he'll be there shortly.. Well he called back and said let me FaceTime you and try to troubleshoot it together. The breaker was stuck in the middle, so Nick mentioned to take a piece of wood and use a hammer to hit it really hard and it worked. So thank you Nick for being so great! Other electricians would've easily come out and made a couple hundred on something so simple. We appreciate your knowledge, but most importantly your generosity. Nick responded quickly to my emergency request to fix a power outage in some important areas at my dad's house, offered a free estimate, and came over to fix the problem all in the same afternoon. For a reasonable price, Nick came out to Eugene's house in Orange from Corona and had to work outside in the rain to fix the electrical outage on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Nick and his technician worked from 3PM to 5PM diagnosing and restoring electricity to the kitchen, living room, bathroom and heater in my dad's house that suddenly lost power and it wasn't as simple as resetting the circuit breaker. After thoroughly testing and inspecting the faulty electrical wiring and outlets, Nick and his technician ultimately had to reconnect some fried wires and an old corroded neutral ground wire in the electric panel/circuit breaker that caused an electrical short and overheated wires in the panel. This procedure also saved us from having to get a new replacement panel. They also upgraded a few power outlets as part of the service and provided a limited warranty on their work. We are happy with the fast service and appreciate the additional discount. read more

My experience with Nicks Electric began around 11pm through yelp were I submitted a quote request to add a 240v outlet for my new EV. After a quick look at our electrical panel Nick gave us a very reasonable price. What was more impressive is that Nick came prepared with the necessary tools and was able to complete the job on the spot.
