I wanted to go to Baymeadows Laundry due to the reviews I saw Yelp days earlier however Waze must have been confused by the names and provided directions to Baymeadows Maytag Laundry which we didn't realize until we went inside.(totally our fault) this location only takes cash so we had to use the ATM at the gas station. The owner was helpful as we had a few issues with getting the machines to work. Apparently some you have to hit in just the right spot to get it to work He provided us with change to use as the machine was out. He also advised how much money we need to use for larger loads for the dryer. This location also has a fluff and fold business if you don't want to or can't do your own laundry. It took us two hours to complete (washing- fold) (2) bulky comforters and (6) loads of laundry. There were not alot of people in there as it was mid-afternoon on Saturday. There were plenty units for everyone to use as we only saw maybe three units that were labeled out of service.

The staff was polite and attentive upon drop off and pick up. The cost for the 4 items I dropped off actually ended up being fairly reasonable as well. I was just a bit concerned about that as I wasn't told upon dropping them off. I was given the option of how quickly these needed to be turned around. Overall a very good experience. Nothing to do with Herman Jackson's, but parking is always an adventure in San Marco and it would be nice if they had their own parking. It would also be nice to have an idea of what the cost was going to be before leaving the drop off but the fact that it was reasonable more than made up for that. Great place to use of you need a dry cleaner in Jacksonville. I recommend you give them a try.

We decided to take a chance and try to have it cleaned to at least use some parts of the dress. I found Oceanside Cleaners and had a few chats with Clare about what could be tried. To say I am shocked would be an understatement. They did an amazing job, even trying a second time on a few of the more stubborn stains to basically make this dress from 1993 almost look new again! I started my clothes at 8:52pm. I waited promptly for my close to finish because I saw that the closing time was 10pm and I wanted to make sure I was out before closing. My clothes finished washing 21 mins after start time around 9:13pm. Unfortunately, my clothes didn't get fully dry until 9:55pm so I bagged everything up without folding of course and as I was leaving around 10:05pm, I turned around to thank the laundry clerk guy because he was standing next to me impatiently waiting for me to finish. He didn't say anything at all. I know he heard me because we were the only two people there and he was standing close enough for me to reach out and touch him without moving. He then proceeding to clean the dryer that I had just used and as I was bringing the basket back to the door, he meets me and says, " next time try to leave here before 10pm". As if I can control the time it takes to dry my clothes. However, I didn't make matters any worse, I just said "okay and you don't have to worry about that because I won't be returning". I really didn't mean to take that long but again, I was not in control of the amount of time it took to dry my clothes. Some of my stuff was still not dry but I left anyway. I work late and I needed clean work clothes. If you give someone an hour to wash and dry clothes, then you kind of run the risk of not leaving at 10pm.

It's very neat and clean and the workers that are here seem very friendly and welcoming. They offer drop off service and the last load drop is at 7:30 pm. While in the morning time it isn't very busy you still may have a few issues getting to a washer as the attendants are also doing their dropped off loads as well. It's not a big place so space is limited. The older washers take approximately 30-40 minutes while the newer ones, depending on which options you select, are set at a minimum 20 minutes. So far the laundry trip wasn't too bad and I wouldn't mind coming here more often. I'm sure the best idea is to get here right at 7 when they open that way you won't have to watch or wrestle with availability and you'd get out way sooner.
