I tried Nick's for the first time recently. I bought 2 medium subs (Nick's favorite and a meatball). The Nick's favorite-at least half the steak was grisly, inedible meat. NASTY. The meatball sub was dry- no sauce. I spent over $29.00 on these 2 subs and I was totally unsatisfied! Beware- They have been there a long time but that doesn't mean they are any good. On top of this they told 30 mins. I got there in 30 and sat and waited another 20 mins. There was no other customers, it's like they just forgot to make my order. Never again. read more

I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar wrap, but when I got home, I realized I had been given a grilled chicken wrap instead. I specifically avoid that one because it contains mushrooms, and I'm allergic. Unfortunately, I ate half of it before noticing, and it had so many mushrooms that I couldn't continue eating it. I attended a graduation party who had Nick's cater and it was so memorable a few years later I sought them out. The food is so good, I like a thicker sauce with a lot of flavor and you'll find it here. The chicken is always tender and moist. The greens and beans are perfect and feel homemade like my grandma would have served up. I took a chance on some fettuccine alfredo and again was delighted, the sauce was not a bland separated mess I've experienced at other places. The texture and flavor were outstanding. Very disappointed. Disappointed with the food AND the service. Ordered an Italian assorted sub... So disappointed, it was honestly gross and I love Italian assorted subs. The meat was cut super thick, not a fan. The bread is nothing special. The Italian dressing tasted buttery? Or maybe that's something they do to the roll... Not sure but between the fake buttery odor, thick meat, and lack luster bun I was really disappointed I ordered here. There are much better options within the same distance. The service was beyond bad. Walked in and stated it was my first time there. Cashier just said OK and then went to the back. When I had a question, neither the cashier or I believe the owner could answer. If that was indeed the owner, I feel even more outcasted by the experience. He was not welcoming or friendly in anyway. Didn't offer to answer any questions. When we left he was standing right by the door at another table, was looking at us and didn't respond to my have a good day. Tonight, I ordered a cheeseburger plate and my burger was under cooked! It was raw meat inside and since I got home around 8 pm I didn't have an opportunity to share this with them. Large selection to choose from here... no one will go hungry! This place has a deli counter with different meats and cheeses as well as full cuts of meat! Lot's of breads and side dishes ( very popular as I waited for my order) The desserts were amazing, cannoli's, eclairs, cookies and claws to name a few. A friend recently had a baby and wanted a sub from Nick's, so i got an Italian one and a loaded ham! She ate them for lunch and dinner in the hospital. If there was one word to sum up Nick's..it would be Fresh. Everything I have ever had from Nick's has always been fresh tasting and flavorful. The sauce they use for their pastas is for sure homemade.. and tastes like it. The pizza crusts are light and airy. The cold cuts for their subs taste like they sliced them fresh for your order...Never had a bad meal at Nick's. Nick's can be a little bit pricier than most places. This is my favorite neighbor place to get food! My favorite is their pastas. The gnocchi dinner with meatballs is amazing. They used to make the gnocchi themselves, but I don't think they do anymore. But it doesn't matter because I still love it! The Chicken French, Chicken Parm and Eggplant Parm dinners are fantastic. Lots of sauce and pasta to accompany. You can now order via their website! Raw pizza and cheap petty owner. Picked up a pizza on my way home from work. Got home realized it wasn't cooked through. Called and requested a credit as I did not want to drive out as I live about 15 min away. Was told No very rudely and only if I comeback right now. What an absolute joke. So I should waste my time, my gas and have to pack my kids up because this guy can't a cook a pizza all the way through? It's my fault? He told me they were rushing because it's busy. I'm writing this at 4am, after hours of being ill. Tonight I ordered a dinner and the sampler platter to share with my husband. Instead of jalapeño poppers, they substituted some sort of fried seafood (unbeknownst to me). I am allergic to seafood!! They looked like chicken nuggets and I thought it was a small popper so I tried one. Decided to try this place out since it seemed to have a wide selection of foods, meats, desserts, etc to try. But I will never be going back, the staff (and I'm pretty sure one was the owner) were so unwelcoming, unhelpful and honestly just rude. We mentioned it being our first time there and we weren't asked if we had questions, we weren't given recommendations or anything. She just responded "Let me know when you're ready" and proceeded to the back of store. She came back once and asked if we were ready yet, we weren't and again just headed to back of store without offering any help, almost annoyed with us. When ordering, my girlfriend had some questions about their Italian assorted and no one could answer the questions, they just looked at us like we were dumb and then canceled our order, cashed someone else out, and come back to our order. We finally got our food and were still just shrugged off. No have a great day, or thanks for your business, nothing. I had my wife go pick up our dinner Wednesday evening from Nick's, ordered a Mediterranean Pizza and two orders of wings, one Buffalo Hot, the other Garlic Parm. The Garlic Parm wings were very flavorful, but the saucy Buffalo Hot were Outstanding. Wasn't expecting Buffalo Hot to have such an abundance of flavors that just kept calling you back for more. DONT GO! The worst customer service ever. I clearly ordered a gluten-free pizza with my friend. I then waited thirty minutes and they got a sub for me instead. I told Nick that I ordered a pizza, he then said try the sub and okay it is free, he then started berating the girl who got the order wrong and I then said to get him to stop "it's okay I talk fast" even though that wasn't true and I just wanted to get him to stop berating this young cashier. I hand him my card as I thought I was going to pay for the drink, he then charged me for the sub I didn't order and he said was free! I then told him look I wanted the pizza which is what I ordered. He then said this guy talks 100 mph and he was going to charge me for both the pizza and the sub. I then said I'm not doing that and he said fine give me back the sub! Even though it was ridiculous, I gave him the sub back and waited another 30 minutes for the pizza I ordered. While I waited nick had a ten minute tantrum complaining to another older lady customer about this guy who talks so fast and was pointing at me, he then berated the young cashier girl again saying she just wanted a date and was distracted. When I finally got the pizza, I asked him if he was really going to charge me the difference after I paid for the sub. He then lost it and said we were busting his balls, he didn't need me business, complained endlessly and threatened to kick us out. I then had to calm him down and pay for it then we left. As we were leaving he was cursing and having a baby tantrum. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I am still baffled that a restaurant that made a mistake could not just own the fact he made a mistake, apologize and give it to you for free or at a discount. Good food, awful service. We regularly order, and we're usually happy with the food, the past few times we've ordered, the order has been wrong. Today, we entered the building immediately to be ignored while other customers entered (Nicks friends) and he greeted them excitedly, talking and joking with them. When someone finally came to cash us out from the back, nick pushed him out of the way to cash out his friend (who ordered after us) and only acknowledged us after taking care of his friend. We got home and subs were wrong, not just wrong toppings, but the entire sub was wrong, meat, toppings, everything. Just got 35 wings and they were perfect. I could tell they were fresh and not frozen.The sauce was just the right combination of hotness with a hint of sweet and they were cooked perfect.
