The Shard discovered in the mix
    David N.

I am Absolutely Disappointed at how the quality of the ingredients in their Greek food. They used to have a delightfully tasty and high quality Feta cheese in which they used to drown their salads in. I'm not entirely sure what they substituted it with is real feta. Also , The Tzatziki sauce in their Gyros seems now more like a watered down miracle whip salad dressing. No flavor nothing much to it. Add to the fact that I had to cease eating my gyro because I found a Hard and Sharp almost glass like plastic shard in the mix. It cut my mouth and hurt my teeth. I was pissed at the lack of quality control in the service . Absolutely unacceptable .

Food was delicious. The plate could have fed four people. 2 big salads were a meal in itself. Our waitress Lucy was very attentive and took great care of us. Best restaurant I've been in in a long time.

The roast beef sandwich was really good here. Ordered it a 3 way and it same warm and very tender.

To burnt asked for it light

I order from here a lot due to working close by, I order a few times an got some really rude cus service, telling me I'm wrong an I didn't order it that way it, I didn't order it at all. i would like to have a pizza that's cooked thru or not burnt to where I can't eat it. They use to at least ask to due a refund or replace food but not anymore you just waste money because they don't want to be wrong.

The "Beat the Clock" pizza deal here is absolutely insane! Every Monday a large cheese pizza pie can range between $4-$9 dependent on the time that you call in for the pie. If you order at 4pm, it's $4. If you order at 5:30, it's $5.30, and so on. Such a brilliant concept! We came in a little after 4pm to pick up a pie and ordering was super easy. They already had stacks and stacks of large pizza pies ready to be picked up. Immediately after ordering we were handed a pie and we were on our way, pizza in hand! Food: The pizza itself isn't anything to write home about (the crust was on the thicker side which isnt my fav) however, the quality is better than I would expect given the price. If I lived closer I would 100% be a Monday pizza pie customer! Can't beat that deal.

Got the Super Beef on an Onion roll, a medium steak fries, and a Greek salad

Literally the best service I've had. Gabriella was there for us with extra cups, ice, and boxes. Our food came out in less than 3-4 minutes. The super beef was the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. Arby's has nothing on them. The fries were fresh and the food was all plentiful. If I lived here I'd go once a week. Much love to Gabriella and Tony.

"Junior " spinach and feta calzone was fantastic.

This place was absolutely amazing. We came with a big group and had fantastic service and food. Some of the best north shore beef I've had, layers of rare roast beef piled high on a warm toasted onion roll. Other orders included steak and cheese, turkey tips, calzones, and everyone loved their orders. Portions are large! The side salad and junior calzone are both large and in charge. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. Our server was so nice bringing out lots of food and making adjustments as needed. They offered to take our picture and brought out bowls of complimentary dessert. It really was a great experience and of the 5 days I spent in this area Nick's Place had the best service, most diverse menu (everything from pizza to swordfish to prime rib) and most importantly, the most delicious food! If you live around here, do not sleep on Nick's!

The pastrami was a minced product. It was very salty and no other flavor. It was dry and flaky. And frugally dished out on to the sub roll. I would not have this product in my home never mind pay for it in a sub shop. If you can't do a good pastrami just don't sell it.

I remember it loaded with chicken fresh off the flat top covered in a delicious gravy & mushroom's. Today I was a little disappointed because first of all my order involved no ham and no cheese . I suppose mistakes happen when you make it a certain way every day in and out since 1950's, that you don't pay attention to the little things like people that are lactose intolerant or allergic to ham. Reluctantly, they made me a new sandwich that had one itty-bitty piece of chicken in it breaded,& the delicious gravy. It felt a little light the second time around and it was reported to me that the lady that took the order and placed the sandwich in my friends hand had an attitude. I know my one little sandwich won't make her break your business, but it seems to have an effect when you had to do it over. Try better next time thanks.

Ok, so my review is going to be very up and down. It's…read moredifficult because I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food, but there are not many options for this in Eastie. During coronavirus quarantine this and Nour were the only Mediterranean places that delivered in the area (usually only 3 or 4 options). Item 1) falafel salad with Greek dressing: the house dressing was great. But one of my biggest pet peeves is getting a salad and having chunky vegetables. I hate the work of having to chop/cut them myself and feel as if this defeats the point of buying a salad when I can make it at home with the same effort. Also, the amount of veggies lacked. You can't tell from the pic, but it was mostly lettuce. The craziest thing of all was the olives had pits! Who puts pitted olives in salads?! Falafel wasn't exciting. Item 2) pita: this came with the salad. The pita was actually delicious. A nearly perfect combination fluffy, crispy, and buttery. I recommend getting a side order of this Item 3) spinach pie: so spanakopita it actually one of my favorite foods! I was a little unsure when I saw it how it'd be, but it is very delicious. I'd go back and just get this. Highly recommend if you have not had it before. Tastes very authentic Item 4) grape leaves: overall they were okay. Not the best grape leaves I've had and a bit oily, but if you're craving grape leaves these will do. I prefer the grape leaves at Nour, however overall I'd say this place is slightly better.

I ordered the "traditional" Philly cheesesteak deal that comes with fries and a drink for $13.99. The pictures looked so good and I was craving a Philly cheesesteak so I was hoping for the best. Although the food was made pretty quickly, it was not good. Cheap imitation of a Philly Cheesesteak. Steak was cheap and they used what seemed to be cheese sauce, not real cheese. Very ordinary. That was my fault, I should have known that places like this in touristy areas are typically bad for the most part. The service wasn't great either. Guy taking my order seemed to have an attitude. Don't eat here unless you want to be disappointed.

I realize in Boston you should opt for regional specialties like 'chowdah' and 'lobstah.' Still, my curiosity was piqued by a "Philly" shop in the middle of downtown Boston. And I wasn't feeling any particular flavor at the time, so... here we go! The cheesesteak was surprisingly good, overfilled and tasty! My only complaint: the meat needed more seasoning. Had I known this, I would have added a little S&P on my own, but I didn't know, so I didn't grab any. Oh well, it was still decent. More cheese? Yeah, maybe, but it wasn't devoid of any. Grilled onions? If you ask, you shall receive! And I mean, a bunch of them! The roll was also good. It was close to an Amarosa's from Philly. Maybe not exact, but close. And the fries were surprisingly good, for what I assume came from a freezer directly into the fryer. They still had a nice crunchy exterior and a soft/fluffy interior. If you ask for ketchup, there is a communal bottle with the hand germs of a thousand locals and tourists. I joke, but not really. It's not a complaint, just a wistful note in case you're sensitive to germs and such. The line moved VERY quickly, so props to the team there for shepherding us all along very well! They also HAD a line, so this is what drew me to choose this place over other similar establishments. I figure if you're operating a stall in this market, you HAVE to bring your A game. I feel like this joint knows this, and they clearly showed an effort to put up a quality product. Overall, it's not Philly legit, maybe, but it's not too far from it. Probably more legit than most non-Philadelphia establishments I've tried. And for the record, a single combo with a cheesesteak, fries, and a drink (plus one extra drink) was well enough to feed two grown adults! So, you're definitely getting your money's worth here. I'd come back, honestly! I might remember to bring a little salt and pepper, but I'd definitely come back to this place!
