    Pepperoni slice.

Buccieri's Pizzeria is a small, family-run joint in the north Boston suburb of Chelsea. It was a short, 4-ish block walk from the Doubletree hotel where I was staying for a business trip. Buccieri's has a large selection of sub sandwiches, calzones, and of course...pizza. There was no way in hell I was not eating pizza while visiting the east coast, so I ordered a slice of pepperoni. Buccieri's was a textbook NY slice. A large triangle with tasty tomato sauce and generous toppings of mozzarella and pepperoni. The crust was NY perfection. Thin, properly cooked through, and easily foldable with one hand--as a NY slice should, and must, be eaten. In an attempt convince myself that I was eating healthy, I also ordered the Antipasto Salad. Romaine lettuce topped with abundant ribbons of Italian cold cuts and provolone cheese, red onions, jarred red peppers, black olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a sprinkling of Parmesan. Dressing options were balsamic or Italian. I opted for the latter. All in all a nice, well-composed, protein-laden salad that was a meal unto itself. But, again, no way was I passing on the pizza. Buccieri's offers counter service only, but has plenty of tables for dining in. The venue was both clean and inviting. Staff were very friendly. Buccieri's business hours are 8:30 am to 2:20 pm. So, no...you can't go there for dinner. But you CAN go there for breakfast...and there is no better breakfast than a big honkin' slice of really good pizza.

Don't hesitate. Every single ingredient that goes into every single menu item is high quality. Each menu item is very well executed. This is as good of Italian Fast Casual lunch as you'll get in Chelsea. Their daily specials, 5 per day from each category, make them affordable to anyone. Love and will be back.

Delicious local spot! First time trying for lunch and wow very impressed with the freshness of everything and overall flavor combination.

Tasty pizza in Boston's Chelsea neighborhood. This small subs and pizza place is right near my customer's office and with tasty pizza like this, I will likely be back. Easy enough with a few choice looking pies behind glass on the counter, it's point and go. They reheat and serve 'em up a few minutes later. I chose one Sicilian with ricotta and fresh tomatoes, a second with chicken and drizzled balsamic. Both were delicious, low on the grease scale and quite satisfying.

Cafe Amaro....No Bene!…read more North End is one of my favorite Boston neighborhoods for Italian food especially Pizza. But this time, not so much! We walked in here on a Sunday afternoon and stopped at Cafe Amaro since they had open tables. The restaurant is very small probably about 10 or so tables. We sat right up against the kitchen which was warm since it was a bit chilly outside. After about 5-8 minutes went by our server came over and we asked to sample 2 glasses of wine. They were not good at all. After tasting one more we finally landed on the Chianti. We then waited longer to place our order which was the Prosciutto and Fig pizza. I also ordered a soda water with lemon which never came. Note: there are 2 servers and I believe 1 speaks English but I am not 100% sure. Once our server finally came over my husband had to remind him of the soda water which he proceeded to say "we only have large bottles." Ok, thanks for letting me know since the other server/busser did not. Does he work here? Does he know the menu? Why wouldn't he tell me this the first place? Our pizza finally came and even after ordering it well done it was still floppy and flimsy to the point when everytime we went to pick up the slice everything fell off...UGH! I don't know how in the North End this place gets by or survives? Maybe they were having an off day? I do see other reviews that had better experiences than ours. Maybe they were short on staff? If that was the case then say something because I probably would've had more patience and understanding if this was the case. BTW, Our server NEVER came over after ordering our wines and pizza. He never asked "how is everything?" NEVER... I also rarely give one/two stars to restaurants but this was despicable and I really hope this is not their norm. All I have to say is there are so many other better restaurants in the North End to go to, but Cafe Amaro is not one of them.

They are extremely close together with tight walking space so just beware of that. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm and there was no wait. However, you are able to make a reservation online. I ordered a margarita pizza for an appetizer which was my favorite part of the meal. The sauce was on the sweeter side and there was a perfect amount of mozzarella cheese. For entrees, we shared the meatballs and the rigatoni bolognese. We weren't the biggest fans of the meat sauce in the bolognese, however it's just personal preference. The service was a little slow because there was one waiter to all 10 tables. He was friendly though and our food was made fast. I highly recommend for a cozy dinner, the margarita pizza is a must order!!

I ordered the pistachio martini and it was delicious -- smooth, slightly nutty, and really well done. For dinner, I had the carbonara and can't say enough good things, top notch. Even though the place is small, the staff was super attentive and made us feel well taken care of. A great spot for an easy, fun date night.

The outdoor seating was intimate however it was between 2 buildings so there was no breeze. Our server, David, was probably roasting in the heat but he always spoke to us with a smile on his face and worked so hard the whole night. We ordered: -Burrata: 2 large servings- 1 for each of us. It was very light and tasty. -*** Crispy Pork Belly***: This was new and totally stole the show. It literally melted in your mouth; you didn't have to chew it. I would come back here just to get that again. -Lobster risotto: a very generous portion of lobster. I would have preferred the sauce to be a little thicker but my boyfriend absolutely loved it. -Bolognese: pasta was cooked al dente (which I love). It was a great pasta-to-sauce ratio! I would have loved some bigger chunks of meat but the sauce was super flavorful. My favorite meal is bolognese and I was very pleased with this. PS: this restaurant does not do desserts or coffee. We walked down the street to modern pastry afterwards.
