    Steak Combo
    William C.

Rondo's is a local mom and pop shop and has been a Southie staple for decades along with good ol' Liberty Bell back in the day for those who remember those beefs and steak and cheeses!!! Rondo's has one of the best steak and cheese in Boston and it never disappoints. The service is always quick and friendly and their portions are great for the price. Whenever I crave a steak and cheese, this is my go to place due to its consistency. Get the steak bomb and add whatever fixings to your liking. Enjoy it there for the best experience, but it still keeps well if you take it to go! They have a small eating area with a few tables, but it is usually easy to get a table since many people get takeout or eat quickly.

So good! Delicious, mom and pop sub shop food. It can be very busy so make sure to go when you aren't in a rush. Definitely glad I ventured to this place during my stay in Boston.

    Chicken Parm
    Yelp R.

Very disappointed. I decided to take a chance and order a Chicken Parm. When they presented it to me the provolone cheese was not melted on top of the sub. Instead it has been jammed into the side and had probably not received any heat whatsoever. This is the type of job I would have done 20 years ago when I worked the college late night shift. -1 star When I asked them to melt the cheese again they added more marinara for some reason. -1 star When I asked them to put it back in the oven, the got all huffy and said it was "too late". They then grudgingly did not put it in the oven but for an unexplained reason put it on the grill. -1 star By the time I received it I was so annoyed and felt that I wasted 11 dollars. I'm going to give them another chance though.

Bourdain never steers me wrong, even after all these years. Rondo's is the defintion of a mom and pop shop, with the charm, atmosphere, service, and prices to match. I got a large steak bomb for 12 bucks and split it with my guy. It was plenty of food for us both. The sub is made fresh right there and the flavor is out of this world. I highly recommend Rondo's for your steak and cheese cravings!

Get the steak and cheese! The people in there are so nice and it seems like it's been a family business for a long time. They make great subs, especially the steak and cheese. The number of people I saw around eating it was not surprising because it's so good. They add in lettuce, mayo, tomatoes, and peppers if you want! You can customize it however you want. A lot of local people come to this shop for lunch or grab and go.

This place was awesome. The fresh, hot cheesesteak sandwich was fantastic. I'm not sure of the history of this place, but it's a small shop that whipped things up as I ordered.

Always delicious, ordered a steak and cheese with peppers and a chicken cutlet sub. Service is always great. Took a photo of the current menu for everyone as well.

Went there and got greek salad with chicken. Size was great and it's delicious. I recommend come early or call in and place your order. The place is crazy busy during lunch. Card is now accepted.

I went here to get a steak and cheese sub. The sub was pretty good. They give you a nice amount of meat and a nice amount of cheese. The service was excellent and pretty fast. I would eat here again and definitely recommend trying this place out.

This is the best sub shop around. Cheeseburger and steak bombs are my go-too subs and this is the only place I'll but a tuna sub from.

These days, everywhere you go, places are charging around $20 for a burger. More often than not, they disappoint at that price point. And some don't even come with fries for that price! But that's where we are. I ordered the Capital Burger for $23. It was arguably the best burger I've had in my life. Like a French onion soup infused burger. The taste was delectable, the quality top notch, and cooked to perfection. And yes, it came with fries. Finally, a burger worth the hefty price places charge nowadays. Wife had the Ribeye Steak Sandwich which was flavorful and plentiful, as we brought half home for lunch the next day. And surprisingly, the wine list is VERY reasonably priced. Again, if you eat out often, you know the prices for a glass of wine have risen beyond ridiculous the last couple of years. So appreciate this place for not price gouging.

Hubs eyes are always bigger than his stomach so for starters he ordered Smoked Gouda Cheese fries with chopped Poblano Peppers, Eggs & Bacon deviled eggs with candied bacon and a cup of New England Clam Chowder. It was like a burger you get on the grill when you're grilling out at home. It was a basic burger with American cheese, bread and butter pickles, and thinly sliced red onions with mayo on the side. It also comes with fries, but you can sub for another side for a fee, my mom ordered onion rings. Unfortunately they didn't arrive hot, but they tasted ok. Not overly battered and the onion stayed in the "ring", the fries were basic frozen fries that arrived piping hot, which helped the taste, but overall the fries I could do without. If ever in Boston, try this place out. Our waitress was nice and checked on us every chance she could get, as for ambience. It can get loud, you can sit by the window and ppl watch as well.

I Really hate having to write this review…read more I've watched Ramsays for decades on tv and when I found out he opened a Restaurant in Boston near where my wife works I was very interested. However... Upon entering you go through a rotating door, was thinking- if you have a walker or something would be hard to get through. When inside there was no one to greet us for quite awhile, The woman finally showed up and told another girl to seat us who seemed to have no iedea what was going on so the woman that told her to seat us did it herself. When walking to the table very obvious there was not many people in the restaurant just 2 people. It was around 3 pm with a ton of people outside everywhere walking. A lot of tables inside had leftover plates that people had already eaten from yet not cleaned. Quite a few employees but nobody looking busy, nobody cleaning. The booth we where given as we sat down instantly we saw how dirty the booth and table was. The booth had white stains on the backing and food all over the seat etc. The table had food on it and human hairs. Not head hairs, the pant variety, I am not even joking. If there is ONE rule I have about eating out it is cleanliness, if the booth you are sitting at is dirty, ect, it doesn't give me confidence that the plates they will put the food on will be 100% clean either. regardless to say we got up and left, told the server we were leaving. No food for us. If this was on kitchen nightmares or one of Ramsays shows he would definitely have said something and been irritated/concerned. Being his own restaurant was quite the shock. For how much the food costs, around 20+ a burger youd think the place would be clean. Grossed me out. We ended up going to the original Pizzaria Regina's where we waited in line for about an hour to get a table, Table was very clean, waitresses were spot on and the food was amazing, if anything glad Ramsays was a Sh** show or we would never have gone to Regina's. Not a good impression, maybe I can try some other Ramsays restaurant one day but most likely wont be back to this one
