A must stop whenever I'm in Jersey. The owners are the nicest people and their customer service is excellent. Such a well-run establishment and the food is amazing. I've tried a variety of their sandwiches but the Soprano and anything with eggplant are my go-tos. The Brooklyn - panini style is so damn good. Their eggplant is thin and perfectly crispy and I love how they press the fresh semolina bread for the panini. You can taste the quality in their ingredients and the care they put into each sandwich. I'm having a serious craving just writing this review. Highly recommend Nick's, give em a visit.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to a nearby hotel and it was fantastic. Carlos is incredible! He took the time to explain the entire menu, make a ton of suggestions, and continuously checked on us throughout the meal. We both went with the Soprano after he suggested it as his favorite. It was so delicious and the portion was perfect. The mozzarella paired with the balsamic and peppers was delicious. Yes, they charge some annoying fees for cards like other comments suggest but that's becoming pretty common. I wish they had more normal soda to choose from in the coolers since it was mostly specialty sodas. The dining room was spotless and they were constantly cleaning the prep areas as well. I'm shocked we were the only ones in here at noon. Give this place a shot!

Absolutely a hidden gem in Saddle Brook, NJ. Very good sandwiches with a wide variation of choices. They even have signature sandwiches to choose from. Service was great, the staff was very helpful in making me make up my mind on what sandwich to get. Definitely know their products. Don't be fool by the small a lot, great spot to come in and sit down to eat your sandwiches. I highly recommend the spot. You can order ahead and just drop in.

Second time coming to this shop! First time I had the Gambino which is my favorite sandwich so far even though they are all incredible. You will not be disappointed with whichever you pick. Ask for the garlic house aioli and the house pesto aioli sauce compliment the sandwiches if you like sauces. Always friendly and knowledgeable service counter and that's why you should always support local businesses.

I stumbled upon this shop while I was in town for work and I'm so glad that I did (but also so sad that I don't live closer!) Nick's reminded me so much of my old high school sub shop hangout from my youth, complete with a group of teens/tweens hanging out and sharing some sandwiches. I didn't know what to get, but was steered toward the Brooklyn by the super friendly staff and I'm happy to pass along that recommendation. The eggplant was perfectly seasoned and crisp. The fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and balsamic vinegar were a fantastic combination. If there is the slightest chance that I will be in the area again, I will make a special trip to get this sandwich again.

Nice clean place, service is amazing. Everyone was super friendly, greeted you as you walked up to the counter. They have seating, which was nice & clean. My first try here and was happy I did. They have a nice menu. Ordered sandwiches and they were GOOD. Even had the guava jarrito! A plus . I will definitely go back and try more!

Went yesterday for a quick lunch. Was pleasantly surprised by the kind hospitality of the employees. You can really tell this is a family run business. The chicken parm sandwich is to die for. Would definitely come again

No reason to go to nyc this is the jersey spot for corn, beef, pastrami, brisket, all hands down it's a great place a lot of people would compare it to Kats in New york. My advice is order on the phone to take out 30 min ahead. This place is busy. Latkes: The potato pancakes included sour cream and applesauce. They were crispy and golden brown on the outside while warm and tender on the inside. This started was excellent and I enjoyed it down to the last bite. Pastrami on Rye: One of the unique aspects about this sandwich was being able to watch the chef prepare the main course right in front of you while waiting in line. This signature sandwich is stacked between two slices of rye bread and piled high & deep with pastrami and a smear of mustard. It has a flawless appearance and looks very appetizing. Unfortunately, I cannot say my taste buds agreed with my vision. I was unable to acquire a taste for this style of meat. The combined taste of the yellow mustard, untoasted bread, and meat was not satisfying. I gave it another chance by attempting to finish the leftovers the following day, but couldn't clear this plate. However, I can only speak for myself, as this is a top seller menu item and I witnessed other patrons eating it. Regardless of my dining experience, I can virtually guarantee this bistro has other menu items I will enjoy because the entire dining area was packed. There was a long line of customers that extended out the door. If I return, I will order an alternative lunch. #pastramigrillbistro #pastramionrye #garfieldnj

The limited sized parking lot is unpaved and not kept well. Indoor seating is tight. A single restroom is available, but it is located outside the restaurant (no worries, it is not a porta-potty). None of these characteristics about the restaurant matter because this is literally one of the best burgers I ever tasted. Named after the restaurant, this specialty gourmet burger was piled high and deep with cheese, bacon, a couple onion rings, and Steve's special sauce. The patty was juicy and the toppings really enhanced the flavor. The culmination of all the trimmings made the burger messy (which is a good problem) so be sure to have napkins handy. After I order arrived, I found out there is a combo special which includes fries and a drink. This is something that I will keep in mind for next time because it is financially a better deal. This location only accepts cash, so please plan accordingly. #stevesburgers #stevesburger #garfieldnj

Nestled in an old world-like, half Sicilian half Albanian neighborhood, right across from the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Montevergine, the entire experience took us pleasantly back in time ... salumeria along the wall, aged provolone hanging from rope, and just about every handmade delicacy you could imagine.....and some new ones we hadn't seen before... Then there's .... the bread..... the bread.... Nowhere in America is there bread like this. This is the real deal (NOT the chain supermarkets--you know who you are) that offer supposedly "Italian" or "French" bread with marshmallow softness attributed to all the preservatives and polysorbate 80. No Signore, this bread contains all the goodness of that crispy crunchy exterior with pure angelic cloud interior that melts in your mouth! Bread this good can be eaten as dessert... (if there aren't any cannolis around).... Yeah they got those here too... We couldn't decide, and we were running late so we ended up grabbing a loaf of semolina bread just in from the oven and a container of Sicilian olives (with pits! Don't waste my time with pitted olives that taste like salted cardboard). Could say more but why? Veni e guarda (look and see for yourself)... Highly recommended. We'll be back! Ce' vediamo dopo.

I've made my way here now a few times and for whatever reason - Siri will only get me to the general area but just won't 'accept' Vitamia's specific/actual address. (I know I've 'arrived' when I see the crisscrossing of American and Italian flags at the start-and-end of the blocks denoting a very little Little Italy portion of the town.) And don't get me started on how jacked the entire length of Harrison Avenue is - causing my poor car's suspension and axle to suffer - or how much gas I usually waste when continually circling the block looking for a (legal) parking spot. Crankiness aside... for a small 'basic' deli they sure do pack a punch. An incredible selection of legit (crunchy) breads, a slew of prepared platters and meals in the refrigerated cases, all sorts of goodies hanging from hooks and then there's the freezer with an absurd amount of specialty ravioli, tortellini, tortelloni, mezzelune, cappelletti, gigante, agnolotti, fagottini... Two guys behind the counter (casually speaking Italian to each other) are able to keep up with all the foot traffic (that never seems to let up) and a few guys manning the ovens in the back that are continually refilling the metal bins by the cash register. (With 800 days of Duolingo under my belt I was tempted to try, "È delizioso. Mi dai la ricetta?" when leaving but flaked out and just went with, "Grazie mille!" which... fell flat.) Parking (as mentioned before) stinks. For every item I've tried and loved (stuffed breads, stuffed pastas) there's been a few that were major disappointments, unfortunately. Their pricing is a tad too rough on my wallet. On a prior visit I dropped over $80 and I made a mental not to not do that again. Most recent visit? Over $100. So, yeah... that's not good. (And just in case you give a hoot - Glenn Anzalone is better known by his stage name of 'Danzig'. Now go and crank some early Misfits songs and thank me later!)
