I visited this place once about 6 years ago and it was pretty good. My friend had raved about it and we happened to be in the area so we grabbed lunch. I loveeeee chicken cutlet sandwiches in general. I had the American chicken which was good. Fast forward 6 years later I was craving a chicken cutlet sandwich and couldn't find anything closeby. I remembered Ted's and realized that it is now only 10 minutes from me so I tried again. It was mother's day and I ordered ahead. I was grateful that my food was ready upon arrival and it wasn't hectic. I've been struggling to find a good buffalo chicken wrap in the area. I tried Ted's and wow. Amazing. It was a large wrap but I really enjoyed it. What saddens me most about this place is that they close before I get home from work so my opportunities to enjoy it are limited. Their online system is easy to use. I used it both times and it worked great. Both times my food was ready when I arrived. Staff isn't mean but they also aren't chipper lol very straightforward in and out transaction. There is a parking lot for Ted's that is shared with Dunkin Donuts and a few other shops there. I came across this deli when looking for lunch. I called in my order of the chipotle grilled chicken sandwich. When I arrived I parked in the lot nearby. I walked in right before the rush and paid. Zero stars for catering service. An order for 12 people was more like an order for 5. A bagel and pastry platter for 12 had 8 bagels, 3 muffins and 5 danishes. Very rude and arrogant management. The prices are charged at will. The prices are listed on the big board, but then inflated prices are printed on paper flyers. Big difference in what is advertised on board and what you actually pay. When questioned, they smugly say that they cannot change the prices on the board every day. Ted's is way better than anything from the food court at the mall. It isn't in my top five for chicken cutlet sandwiches though. The cutlet was on the thin side and while the bread was fresh, it didn't have that crunch that I like. If I'm in the area I would stop by again and try something else. read more

Have to update my review on the Rochelle park teds which I've loved for years. I know a few years ago around the time of the fire they switched owners from what I heard and it stayed good for a while after but the last few times it just doesn't hold up for me. Their turkey club was almost the perfect sandwich to me, loaded with turkey, bacon and just the right amount of everything else on a triple stack of bread. Last week I got this sandwich..the finely shredded lettuce was replaced by a bunch of giant pieces of lettuce overflowing from the sandwich, less turkey, and bread that tasted old and barely toasted. I had already preferred teds north because it's the same distance from me and if you're a teds OG customer you'll remember they had fries before Rochelle Ave location did. I think this was the final straw, that sandwich was really disappointing and not the first time in recent years, I hate ripping down places I once loved but this place isn't what it used to be, I'll go to teds north from now if I get the craving. read more

I've been going here for the past 5 years. Since I work right around the corner, it's always a go to for breakfast or lunch. You really can't go wrong with anything you order but my breakfast fav is the steak and eggs (no potato). For lunch my all time favorite is the Chipotle Chicken (don't be scared...it's not spicy). Ted's was an everyday stop before work when I lived in Bergen County. The counter service is great, the guys get to jabbering pretty quickly. The sandwiches are great too. I recommend the Godfather. For breakfast I usually just go with the old standby bacon, egg n cheese on a hard roll. The clam chowder and minestrone are good if you're in the mood for soup. I've never been here during lunch so I wouldn't know how busy it gets. Between 8a & 10a the deli is pretty quiet and you can get in and out fairly quickly. Just ordered lunch from Ted's for my office in Elmwood Park. What an awesome job. Let me first talk about the safety precautions. The delivery driver met me in the parking lot of my office and was wearing a mask and gloves. That gets them an extra star going from 4 - 5 stars. Now on to my sandwich. The 5 sandwich order was placed through Grubhub and was easy and gave us options to alter the sandwiches to the way we wanted it. I personally had the American Chicken Sandwich. It was a perfectly cooked breaded chicken cutlet on a hard roll with lettuce tomatoes mayo and bacon. The roll was soft and chewy, there were 2 chicken breasts on the sandwich and they were cooked great quality chicken, no grizzle anywhere. I think we found a new deli to order from. read more

Disappointed. We have been to Ted's many, many times and have always had nothing but good experiences. Fresh and tasty food and quick service. Today we decided to order some sandwiches for lunch and the whole order was a disappointment. We ordered two Cali chicken sandwiches which consist of grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomato and balsamic on ciabatta. When we arrived at home and opened our sandwiches we realized that there was no avocado in either sandwich and the bread was completely soggy. The chicken only covered half of the roll and it completely lacked flavor. If they ran out of avocado, that should have been explained to us as we would have gone with different sandwiches. First let me say I go in there almost everyday. And the staff is so nice and friendly. Down to earth and always asks how my day is. Their food is excellent. I usually get one of two things either I get a chicken cutlet sandwich or a turkey club wrap with avacado!! And they know my order as soon as I walk in !! Parking is good they have their own parking lot in the shopping center. Overall I give them 5 stars because they are always happy when you walk in and good vibes. The best deli, bar none. The sandwiches are always fresh and well stacked. The Taylor ham is actual Taylor ham, NOT pork roll. Cooked crisp, salty as it should be. Turkey is moist, the salads are excellent. Even the hard rolls are fresh and delish I haven't tried the typical deli sandwiches yet, but I'll bet the pastrami and corned beef makes "a nice sangwich, a nice samwich. sic The couple who run/ own the place are friendly, but more, they are polite. OMG, and sincere. The only negatives are not negative (necessary illogic.) The cream soups are just a tiny bit lumpy and I LOVE that. Ted's is approximately 4 blocks from my office building.. It is a great deli and we often order sandwiches for our larger meetings from this location. All of their sandwiches that I have tried have been excellent, I have no complaints about them. When you walk in there are always several employees waiting to take your order. My personal favorite sandwich is "the Godfather" a warm roast beef sandwich on a sub role with lots and lots of gravy!
