    Spicy italian combo

Wow. The spicy Italian combo sub is the best I think I've ever had. The bread is super fresh and the meats are sooo good. The blood orange lemonade?!?! Its amazing!!

Ted's is way better than anything from the food court at the mall. It isn't in my top five for chicken cutlet sandwiches though. The cutlet was on the thin side and while the bread was fresh, it didn't have that crunch that I like. If I'm in the area I would stop by again and try something else.

The american chicken, soft bread, roasted pepper added.

My coworker recommended this to me and I gave it a try, third time getting food from there and not one bad experience. Everyone is friendly, the sandwiches are amazing and so are the potato & egg salad. Love this place !!!!

    Shrimp and corn chowder

I have to admit I've never had a sandwich at this place before yet I visit this place two to three times a week for one thing... their soups! I love chunky, hearty, flavorful soups and Ted's never disappoints! My favorites are 1. Crab and corn chower 2. Shrimp and corn chowder 3. Beef barley 4 lobster bisque 5. Broccoli cheddar The lobster bisque has so many chunks of huge lobster and the beef barley is delicioussss perfect for cold rainy days. *Everyone who works there is extremely nice and they always help you right away *The prices are reasonable *The place is clean

    Prefab chicken.

The worst prefab food ever. I ordered a toss salad with grilled chicken and receive frozen playdoh something that resembles chicken strips with holes in it . See my picture!! Shame on Ted's for letting their food be so bad. Stay away from this deli.

Haven't stopped here in a while. On my way to work this morning I decided to stop here for breakfast. I'm glad I did, place was spotless and the service was quick and the prices were reasonable. More importantly the Taylor ham egg & cheese sandwich was spot on! Plus the coffee was hot and fresh!

The gobbler..you're missing out, buy 2 thank me later

    Change in ownership?

Went there today. Yes it is under new ownership. From what I understand the old owner went to the other location.

Boy, I gotta say I was not disappointed as soon as I walked in, I got a sense that I was definitely in the right spot. The look , feel & smell of it immediately brought me back to my cherished Jersey City roots. Everything on display looked fresh & inviting. The guy behind the counter (damn I don't recall his name) was super friendly & helpful in assisting me with my choices. Ordered the Godfather Sammy, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes & pulpo salad. Everything was delicious ! I travel will be back to NJ several times a year but I think I found my new "Go to spot" ! Just writing this review & thinking about my next trip up (in 3 days) has me salivating for another trip to this place. I will follow up this review with another very shortly to ensure that this wasn't just catching them on a good day but I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed. Stay tuned & I promise to include the counter guys name as he was Aces !

We had a terrible food experience this last Sunday. My boyfriend's father wanted the Sunday Special…read morewhich he hadn't had in years, but it sounded good to him. So we got that to go. When I was in there, I saw the stuffed bread. After a bit of a conversation about what was in them I opted to get two of them one with broccoli Rabe And one with mixed vegetable vegetables. Boy were we both unhappy with what we got. My boyfriend's father found his braciole and sauce to be so salty it was inedible. He likes food and he is rarely disappointed in an Italian meal. But he said it was so bad that he couldn't even eat it. He ended up throwing it away. I was equally disappointed. Maybe more so. There was no way that vegetable roll was made that day let alone any sooner than two days before. It was so stale. It was hard as a rock. And I hadn't even heated it up. I cut into it right after I brought it home. It also tasted stale. I ended up throwing it away too. Broccoli Rabe roll was a tad better. It wasn't hard as a rock. But it wasn't fresh either. It tasted meh. The only thing I was happy with are the prepackaged taralli. They were imported and were lovely. Go there for the prepackaged imported food products. Don't waste your money on the dicey homemade food experience.

The steak was very tender, juicy and the chimi sauce enhanced the flavor. Bread was fresh and toasted. Also got to try the choriopan special ($11.95) which is a sausage with chimichurri sandwich was also solid. I liked the skirt steak sandwich the best, it's not cheap but the ingredients are high quality so it's worth it as a treat. Bolstered by the rave reviews, my husband and I made a special trip to visit this humble sandwich…read moreshop. Right off the bat, the presentation deserves gold stars. These sandwiches aren't small; each half is likely a pretty hearty meal on its own, and when served on decorative wax paper and a wooden serving board, it's a pretty sight. That said, nothing really wowed. I ordered the vodka parmigiana sandwich while my husband went with the sausage sandwich. The orders took some time to come out, which felt like an assurance that things were being prepared fresh, but I was surprised at how lukewarm the chicken cutlet, sauce, and sausage pieces were. On the plus side, the bread is the seeded variety (in my book, the ultimate type for a sandwich) and nicely toasted. My husband thought his sausage sandwich needed some sort of a sauce, to which the owners happily obliged with some ketchup. It helped, but his overall impression of his meal was similar to my own - good, not great. While our meal didn't blow us away, what everyone else has shared about the owners is true. These are the nicest, most welcoming folks behind the counter. They greeted us the moment we entered and guided us through the bestsellers of the menu.
