Food and service was on point. Definitely worth the stop. We hit this stop every year when we come down to the beach.

The service was top-notch from start to finish, the restaurant was absolutely beautiful, and the food came out fast. The Alfredo was hands down the best we've ever had! Everything about our experience was exceptional. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. 10/10!

While waiting, we sat at the bar. I ordered a Paloma. It was tasty and the presentation was nice. However, we saw a cockroach in the straw container on the bar. We told the bar tender and she threw half the straws away. We told her she needed to toss all of them and she did. I couldn't finish my drink after that. The wait was very long. On the phone they told us it would be 20-30 minutes. It was 2 hours. They told us the reason was because another table was overstaying, which didn't make a lot of sense. Our waitress was rude. She was annoyed we wanted separate checks and was very curt. All of us were put off by her attitude. For appetizers, we got the edamame hummus, edamame, Brussels sprouts, and shrimp lettuce wraps. The edamame hummus was weird. It didn't have a ton of flavor and the wasabi peas and ginger on top were just strange. The Brussels sprouts and shrimp wraps were good. The shrimp wrap was probably our favorite app. For my entree, I got Sandor's ravioli. It was good, but not hot. The ravioli was handmade and very cheesy. The fish was perfectly blackened. Unfortunately our bride's steak was undercooked and she didn't want to send it back after the long wait and waitress attitude. I got the key lime pie to go and it took forever to get it. We had to ask another server to get it. It was amazing, but not worth the hold up after an already negative experience. We let the manager know about our experience and while they were very apologetic and offered us a discount, our experience was what it was and we had already paid. I appreciate their acknowledgment and offer to make it right.

We swung by Nick's Seafood on a random weeknight shortly after Christmas. The weather outside was…read morechilly and windy, but inside the restaurant was warm and cozy. Decorated with all kinds of evidence of small town love, this casual restaurant was one of the most welcoming places I've ever been inside! The items I would recommend: *Fish of the day - We got a blackened trout (which was the fish of that day) with two sides. The fish was cooked to perfection and fantastic. The sides were delicious. The mac and cheese side was yummy, but the side of okra with tomatoes (cooked together with pieces of bacon/sausage - sorry, not sure which - for a meaty boost in flavor) was my favorite. *Shrimp - I also recommend getting a grilled or blackened shrimp. It's one of the most tender shrimp you'll eat. So succulent, you'll be tempted to order more! One thing to note, this restaurant is really reasonably priced. You would pay way more across the bay for the same meal. The portions are also very fair and it'll fill you up for sure. Some fun facts about the restaurant: *Captain Nick (owner) closes the eatery to go fishing on Mondays and Tuesdays. Anything he catches then will be served at the restaurant during the rest of the week, so you know the seafood here is local and fresh. *A lot of kids living in the area get their first jobs here, and it's been that way for years. They all seem to be treated well here, and the kids that served us did a wonderful job! *We got to meet Captain Nick and he was one of the nicest and sweetest people you'd ever meet (so were the customers!). He gave us a grand tour of the land where pigs/piglets, turkeys, chickens/roosters are kept in the back of the restaurant. Some of the animals were free-range and friendly. It was fun to see! All in all, Nick's Seafood is well worth the drive from across the bay. Scenic roads all the way to the restaurant, scrumptious foods and the most lovely people to greet us at the end, we drove from Destin and we'll definitely be making the drive again!

When we received the bill, it seemed higher than expected. Upon asking for clarification, we were told there was an 8% "packaging fee," which exceeded the local tax. This charge was not itemized as a packaging fee on the receipt--only listed as "8%"--and there was no explanation provided. Since it had been a long day and our order was already prepared, we chose to proceed with the purchase. What concerned us most was that this fee was neither disclosed on the website nor mentioned when we placed our order. We only became aware of it after questioning the total. Greater transparency would have been appreciated. If such charges were clearly communicated in advance, customers could make informed decisions. While we understand that restaurants operate with tight margins, unexpected fees leave a negative impression and ultimately influenced our decision not to return. We have enjoyed the food in the past, but at this price point, we would likely explore other options that we feel offer better overall value.

Heir menu really doesn't change, but it doesn't need to. They have amazing seafood, great sides and cold drinks. Josh was our waiter and was very speedy! We go out orders in and dinner seemed like it came out quick and hot. I tried that gumbo first and the flavor put be back in New Orleans. I had the grouper and my fiancé ordered the crab cakes. I heard they were known for their crab cakes, but I wasn't a huge fan. My blackened grouper was absolutely delicious. The seasoning wasn't over powering and the fish was cooked to perfection. The salad was my favorite part crazy enough. It was a tomato basil vinaigrette that was out of this world with flavor. It had a sweet base to it that brought out the basil flavor that made us all guess what the ingredients were. What I really enjoyed about this place was that the owner was walking around all night checking on the tables and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and that the food was perfection. Great dinner spot and really cool vibe with all the red lights and fun paintings everywhere.
