Nicky's has been having "wow" special for a while. This week was jumbo Chicago style hot dog with fries. I also ordered soup (chicken noodle) and their fire pit wings (5), let me tell you they were spicy. No amount of ranch dressing is going to cool it down. Two members of our family got extremely sick after eating at Nickey Gyro. Both had severe diarrhea afterward, and the only thing we could narrow it down to was what we believe may have been the tzatziki sauce, though we can't say for certain. We understand it's impossible to know exactly what caused it, but the timing was hard to ignore. Based on our experience, we won't be eating there again. I ordered the chicken gyro plate yesterday hat to pay extra for the feta cheese. Most places just add this no extra cost. My total was over $21 for barely enough meat for the two pitas. This place in Lockport is very overpriced. Especially for what the offer. I know things cost more now. But this seemed excessive! Good gyros and delicious fries. Firehouse wings are great and so is the super taco. The Big Baby cheeseburger is very tasty.

Grub Hub delivered the food but I was never notified. The food was soggy and not edible.

I really had a craving for a BLT I was a little surprised that it was grilled. Not a normal BLT club with toast. I didn't think of asking cuz I never been there before. A lot of lettuce and probably the cheapest bacon you can buy on the market but it's not a restaurant. It is a carryout place ..ordered a Polish sausage. Don't ask why they deep fry it. I figured it would have been grilled at least but okay. I ordered two shakes which those were actually good and especially for the price I had the chicken gyros platter for $16. Not worth it. It was my first time having chicken gyros.. was not a fan of it in my opinion... But not everybody has the same taste palette..... But overall It was okay. It's not my cup of tea but in passing struggling what to eat. There is definitely something that you can find. Picked up Monster Gyros for friends and I @ work on the night shift. Nickys had a week long deal. Monster gyros 9.99. 1/2 lb of meat, with grilled onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. Meat was tender, plenty of it. Onions grilled nicely but not too much. Sauce was fine and tomatoes. What made me sit up & take notice was the pitas. Quality was fine, but they were skinnier than normal. I liked it as they were on the grill briefly, but being thin it didnt feel like you were eating a pound of bread to go along with your gyros meat and that was nice.. Service was good, prompt and I didnt wait long for my order. This was at 500pm. Good job Nickys! I will return in the future. read more

More than anything I'm disappointed because this use to be a regular spot for me. Idk what's changed over the years but the food portions and taste just aren't what they use to be. Overall service is fair but for $15 for a gyro plate I should definitely get my money's worth or at very least some fresh fries... my plate consisted of 3/4 of it being cold stale fries and I was only give enough meat to fill one pita and barely the second pita. This use to be a shareable meal but you're better off buying separate gyros and fries.. overall 2 stars. read more

My wife and I always stop here when we visit family here in the area. The food is always better than most similar places in SoCal. Today I went inside and saw they have a wall dedicated to prepaid meals for those who may be hungry and low in funds. What a great reminder of why we celebrate Christmas. Hands-down the best gyros in town if not further. Our go to is the euro plate we order an extra pita and an extra sauce because we can always get three gyros sandwiches out of this and still have gyros left over. I've read other reviews that say otherwise but trust me as an elite yelper Nickys is great. Their soups are also very good as well pizza puffs are always made perfect. This is fast food but the workers get the job done they are polite and I enjoy coming here at least once a week Their big baby cheeseburger is always made fresh and delicious, I don't eat hotdogs but I've ordered them here and the buns are perfect and plenty of toppings and hot and good. Four stars due to being hit or miss on quality of gyros and salad freshness a couple times this year. Honestly, the only thing that triggered a review at all is the AMAZING fried chicken we ordered a month ago. I keep thinking about it...especially when I can't have it. If you can relate to "clean" fried chicken, then great. If you can't then just think about the last fried meal you had which left you feeling sluggish, guilty and 10 miles closer to your gravesite...then imagine all the pleasure and no pain. Deserves a few damn ribbons for sure! I love it when a restaurant doesn't feel a need to over-saturate their menu items with extra seasoning in lieu of a fresh job, well done. It's only a 12-18 min wait from order on a normal day, and my God it was by far the best plainly presented, fried chicken perfection experience I've had since moving back up north...and from an unexpected venue! read more

Well to start off this was my first time going there after driving by it for almost two years... I'll give my experience a 2 out of 5 and those come from the customer service... Top notch customer service. I ordered a cheesy beef and Pop. There was not enough flavor in the meat, the bread could've used some garlic butter and Italian seasoning. I stopped in to Nicky's yesterday to grab a quick charbroil cheeseburger. Much to my surprise what I received was a pre-grilled hamburger hours prior and then stuck into the microwave with cheese and stacked on ungrilled bun to serve me. The cheese was volcanic in temperature, which burnt my lower lip. That's nothing compared to the no flavored burger that tasted like it had been boiled rather than charbroiled. read more

(You can also dine in their sit down eating area) We have been coming here on a regular basis since they opened at least 20+ yrs ago and they have been a family favorite and crowd pleaser all these years! Went in tonight expecting to get 2 delicious big babies like I do sometimes during the day. However these big babies were anything but awesome. The meat had a bitter burnt taste, was dry and the buns were hard around the edges. These were the worst big babies ever! Disgusting! My last time going here. read more

My husband and I both ordered one of their "homemade soups" and it was awful. It was so salty that it was uneatable. I called because I wanted a credit to use for a future purchase and they were rude to me on the phone and tried to discredit my issues. (Not to mention that they told me their "homemade soups" are from FROM A BAG!!!!! Even though a manager was there, they claimed I would have to speak with a different one. This manager never called me back. I refuse to ever order from them again, all this could have been avoided with a call back and a credit. We used to order at least one time a week or more. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I see refunding two $3 soups is worth losing two customers consistent business. What a horrible business plan. read more

Every once in a while I get a taste for a good Chicago style hotdog. Unfortunately here in Lockport, I haven't found one yet. I went to Nickys hoping to find one. I was disappointed. Their hotdogs are better than other places around here, but they are a little expensive for what you get. They make you pay extra for tomatoes!! And you have to specially request celery salt!! And my hotdogs were missing pickles. My family was happy with their chicken gyros though. They said they were really good with the cucumber sauce. read more
