Nicole is especially awesome because she doesn't kennel the dogs while theyre waiting to get groomed, she takes dogs on one at a time. Why is this so important? My dogs stress levels are FAR lower than if they were groomed at a commercial groomer. Mikko is a front leg amputee who spent weeks at a time sitting in a kennel at the vet prior to having his amputation. I had read her stellar reviews, but moving away from the last groomer we had (who I loved) was tough. I had taken my dogs to a groomer prior to my last and picked them up traumatized. I realized that a large groomer with lots of employees just didn't work for them. When I met Nicole in person, my mind was set at ease immediately. I could tell she really loves dogs, and was comforted to know that they would not be crated. Her communication was excellent, and she even sent me pics. My nervous, crazy doggy mama heart was at ease. We will definitely be going back to her, and I am so glad I won't have to worry anymore. It always feels nice to support a small, local business. Her prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, and she does any EXCELLENT job. Be sure to schedule in advance, as she is understandably busy. My first appointment was during the holidays, so I knew I would have to wait but she is SOOOO worth it! My experience: Nicole was the only groomer willing to groom our family dog - a 16 year old cocker mix. Our dog is blind and deaf so she startles easy and even tries to bite occasionally (she's got only like 3 teeth). On top of all that she was very matted and had long nails since she had long resisted our own grooming attempts. So Nicole was able to handle all that and was very nice in allowing my dad to be there the whole time with the dog (his baby). read more
