First time walking in and Shannon offered to squeeze me in without an appt which was super appreciated as someone with a busy schedule! They greeted me and were able to see my girl with 45 minutes to an hour (again not bad for no appt) The salon had a lovely vibe with lovely employees at reasonable prices. I could tell they care about the pups there as they handled each animal with proper treatment and patience. Friendly reminder to tip them if you can! LOVE desired styles! I've been taking my dogs to Melissa for over a year and they absolutely love her. My dogs get a bath, blowout, and nail trim. They get cute little report cards and always come home looking so handsome and smelling great! This was my dogs first visit to this grooming salon. I called and was able to get a reservation within a few days. I e planned that I had tried PetSmart and after having for 3.5 hours, they called me and told me I had to pick him up because he was "mouthy" and they could not complete his bath. I had to go into their back room and help him escape from a blower kennel. Super disappointing! I looked up and found Desired Styles - located here in JV and close to my home. Erin at Desired Styles was awesome!! Winston came home with a great report card. He was so soft, whitened, deshedded, nails buffed, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned - topped off with a fancy handkerchief! She didn't call and tell me that he was awful - I am so happy that we have found our new groomer!! I highly recommend this groomer for anyone who has been told their dog is a pita! read more

I always ask for Rhonda! She's has the sweetest personality & treats my dog, Ryder with lots of love and care. They are usually always able to squeeze me in last minute. Usually takes around 2 hours so not too long. Everyone is super nice & welcoming there. Prices are reasonable but most importantly I know that my baby was well treated as if he was one of their own. Can confirm with Jessie F's review on this business being anti mask. They are, in fact superspreaders. And since that review may get deleted, I won't stay quiet. I brought my dog Lemmy here for a bath in August for the first (and last) time, I believe with Rhonda. All I can say is, if the bald Eagle photo with the sign on the front that said something along the lines of "this business doesn't doesn't require masks to enter" isn't a red flag... I don't know what is. Of all the staff working there, which was about 7 of them, one gal at the front station was masked. And before I get jumped on over "sOmE PeOpLe HaVe HeAlTh cOnCeRnS & cAn'T wEaR a MaSk"... it's oddly convenient for almost the whole staff to have a health concern to keep them from wearing one. Especially now that one of their groomers is currently laid out at home with an active Covid infection. Please be aware, please be careful while going here, and Desired Styles... I took my dog, Charlie, here a few months ago to get groomed. Halfway through his grooming, his tail got cut to the point I had to pick him up right away and take him straight to the vet. He needed to get half of it amputated off because it couldn't be stitched. The next day, I got a call saying that when Charlie is better, he can come back to finish his original grooming and another grooming session compensated. I get it, accidents happen I guess. My son brought Charlie in to get his comp'd grooming, and then was told it would be $55 upon pickup. The manager knew what happened to Charlie, and was explained the comp. She ended up giving my son the dog and said they'll take care of it. The next day, I checked my bank account and to my surprise, they decided to charge my card that was on file without my knowledge or authorization. When confronted, their explanation was that groomer did not work there anymore. Do you think I would've brought him back there at all after what Charlie had to go through if it weren't for the considerate comp offer? Especially to charge my card without my knowledge or consent simply because my card was on file? If we weren't offered the comp'd groom, I would've never brought him back there again. If the comp was honored, and my card wasn't maliciously run anyways, I would have kept bringing Charlie back for more appointments. The poor way of handling the situation had driven me to write this post and never bring my pets or recommend this spot to anyone again. read more

Not sure what happened here but Jordan cut my dogs hair and upon inspecting him it honestly looks terrible. After reading so many reviews we drove 50 min to give it a try.I don't get what the hype is about. Felt very rushed told me 2 hours to finish his haircut and finished in 50 min. I brought my dog to get groomed and now I am waiting in the ER where they have to sedate her and stitch her up because her groomer Erica did not take enough precautions. They said she had knots and was "too wiggly", accidents happen but if you can not get the job done right they could've called us to pick her up, which they have done before with my other dog, instead she proceeded and injured my dog. So so happy with how my mini schnauzer's cut came out. About 1 month ago I booked an appointment with a mobile groomer, my pup was matted and had to be shaved down, including her beard. Once the girl was shaving her down she noticed fleas and couldn't continue her cut. She was left a hot mess. So I called Desired Pets and patiently waited for her appointment, and I'm so happy I did!
