First time walking in and Shannon offered to squeeze me in without an appt which was super appreciated as someone with a busy schedule! They greeted me and were able to see my girl with 45 minutes to an hour (again not bad for no appt) The salon had a lovely vibe with lovely employees at reasonable prices. I could tell they care about the pups there as they handled each animal with proper treatment and patience. Friendly reminder to tip them if you can! This was my dogs first visit to this grooming salon. I called and was able to get a reservation within a few days. I e planned that I had tried PetSmart and after having for 3.5 hours, they called me and told me I had to pick him up because he was "mouthy" and they could not complete his bath. I had to go into their back room and help him escape from a blower kennel. Super disappointing! I looked up and found Desired Styles - located here in JV and close to my home. Erin at Desired Styles was awesome!! Winston came home with a great report card. He was so soft, whitened, deshedded, nails buffed, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned - topped off with a fancy handkerchief! I brought my dog Lemmy here for a bath in August for the first (and last) time, I believe with Rhonda. All I can say is, if the bald Eagle photo with the sign on the front that said something along the lines of "this business doesn't doesn't require masks to enter" isn't a red flag... I don't know what is. Of all the staff working there, which was about 7 of them, one gal at the front station was masked. And before I get jumped on over "sOmE PeOpLe HaVe HeAlTh cOnCeRnS & cAn'T wEaR a MaSk"... it's oddly convenient for almost the whole staff to have a health concern to keep them from wearing one. I took my dog, Charlie, here a few months ago to get groomed. Halfway through his grooming, his tail got cut to the point I had to pick him up right away and take him straight to the vet. He needed to get half of it amputated off because it couldn't be stitched. The next day, I got a call saying that when Charlie is better, he can come back to finish his original grooming and another grooming session compensated. I get it, accidents happen I guess. My son brought Charlie in to get his comp'd grooming, and then was told it would be $55 upon pickup. The manager knew what happened to Charlie, and was explained the comp. She ended up giving my son the dog and said they'll take care of it. The next day, I checked my bank account and to my surprise, they decided to charge my card that was on file without my knowledge or authorization. When confronted, their explanation was that groomer did not work there anymore. Do you think I would've brought him back there at all after what Charlie had to go through if it weren't for the considerate comp offer? Especially to charge my card without my knowledge or consent simply because my card was on file? If we weren't offered the comp'd groom, I would've never brought him back there again. If the comp was honored, and my card wasn't maliciously run anyways, I would have kept bringing Charlie back for more appointments. The poor way of handling the situation had driven me to write this post and never bring my pets or recommend this spot to anyone again. read more

I had used them before and loved Melissa's work, however, the next time I went there they gave me a different groomer who didn't listen to my instructions which were, hypoallergenic, since they had just been there the week before they only needed a bath and dry, no nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth, etc. (that day they had rolled in something and stunk is why I had taken them back) When I picked them up the groomer told me she had done a full grooming plus added sheen to their coat. When I asked why since they I requested not for full grooming and why the sheen since they have to have hypoallergenic products. She looked surprised saying that she used regular products. I then told her that I paid for a bath because physically it's very difficult for me to bath them myself and now, since they have chemicals on them which they are allergic to and will irritate their skin, I have to go straight home and bath them myself. She apologized but said nothing about re-bathing them for me. Several days later I telephoned them and spoke with the manager explaining what had occurred. She told me that they do offer to re-bath if notified within 72 hours but that I had phoned after that time. Really? I discussed the issue at the time that I picked them up, definitely within the 72 hours. Since then I have tried to make appointments online or phoning. Online often blocks their site stating it's not safe. When I did get to the site you can't request a certain groomer and I'm not about to use anyone other Melissa. So I called but since it's after hours I can't leave a message because when you press 0 as instructed you are told it's an invalid entry. Called during operating hours and you're told to text, so I did and am still waiting. Honestly, what a hassle! I'm presently looking for another grooming business. read more

So so happy with how my mini schnauzer's cut came out. About 1 month ago I booked an appointment with a mobile groomer, my pup was matted and had to be shaved down, including her beard. I absolutely loved this place and my little Bonita did too. My poodle mix was groomed exactly the way I hoped, leaving her with length in her fur and a teddy bear face. The last groomer we had shaved her without a notice or asking for my wants in hair cut.
