Hummus was delicious, the best one to try. Creamy texture with lime and paprika flavor. Bryani lamb rice was beyond my expectations.. Better taste than I imagined but need more salt. The restaurant was clean, nice Arabic music. i would rate it 5 but the service was under expectation. The waitress was not smiling and kept sending grumpy vibes, pushing us to choose ftrom the menu while we need time to check it out. Can't rave enough about this restaurant. I not only come here for the delicious food. But to catch up and enjoy the most pleasant conversations with Nidal, the owner. Always so kind and caring and takes the time to truly make meals that come from his home. I come here seems like every week to pick up my chicken order and usually catch myself wanting a shawarma sandwich on the weekends. Our table is always full of wonderful food. On the road we were so tired of fast food so we saw this on Yelp and it was close and cheap. We tried it and loved it. Great food. Not expensive. Great service. A man named Rick was walking in as we were and I asked him if this place was any good. He said yes and asked if I was from around these parts. I said no and that we were here for a wedding. We were four adults and two children. He seemed very congenial and continued to rave about the food and service. He asked where are from and I told him St Pete., Florida. He mentioned having an east coast condo and then we ordered as he sat down. Minutes later he offered to pay for all our meals. We thanked him but said it was only a quick stop for us to go. Very nice guy. But the restaurant food was wonderful. Great salads, tasty Shish kabob, delightful lentil soup, legendary shawarma, everything you want from an inexpensive but excellent Middle Eastern food restaurant. Looking for some great middle eastern food on Kalamazoo's west side?? This is definitely the place! Looking for some awesome middle eastern take out?? Awe yeah, this is that place too!! I've stopped into this place several times while shopping the west side and was shocked to see I hadn't posted a review. I'm typically stopping in for a couple of wraps to eat on the run. They have a wrap option for just about every kind of platter. Throw in a small hummus and a drink, and you got yourself a meal to fuel an evening of shopping and shenanigans. They have a good selection of platters and salads if your looking for a sit down. I've only sat down once, but the food was awesome and with generous portions. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the restaurant is always clean and tidy, and the prices are typical for middle eastern food. I'm posting more menu pics to cover that part of my review. This establishment has a very friendly and welcoming nature to it. Upon my first time visiting I mentioned I was new and have never eaten anything of the sort. (Azmah) was kind enough to help walk me through the menu until I found something I liked. Beyond that she saw me checking out their selection of drinks and offered me one on the house. She recommend a drink with Basil Seeds and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you very much Azmah, you made this experience wonderful! All in all I got the RBF wrap, it was very tasty with the exception that I felt like it could have used a bit more of the garlic sauce and the spice was a bit underwhelming for my preference. Nonetheless, I will absolutely be coming back and I am excited to treat my taste buds to different options on the menu. I got 4 pieces for 6.50. mind you sandwiches are less than this side. then I ordered feta cheese thinking it was cut up feta cheese or fried, I am not sure what I expected but a tiny cup of processed feta is not what I expected for $3.50. and lastly 2 vegetarian grape leaves that are almost to tough to bite in to. this cost me over 17 dollars. If it wasn't for Yelp, we would never have stopped here. It is a very unassuming location with a beat up sign and very little street frontage. Nothing to recommend it at a glance. The inside is fine - clean and well kept - but the food is the real star. Everything we ate was delicious. I thought the Samosa recipe was particularly interesting and enjoyable. Familiar, but unique. Our shawarma plate was loaded with superbly creamy and flavorful hummus and they provided plenty of pita to sop it up with. Our 5 y.o. daughter was happy just eating the bread and some house rice. Our server was excellent when available, but harried by an after-church rush that put the staff on its heels for a bit. It is a small place with limited wait staff, so I didn't feel any ill will toward them for it. We aren't from the area and only dropped by because of good reviews and proximity to the highway, but if we lived in the area we would definitely be regular customers. read more

A few of my all time favorites are the Shish Tawook, the Shawafel sandwich, Hummus, Chicken Byriani, and fattoush salad-- I may have spelled a few of those wrong! Haha... Definitely, definitely, definitely give this place a shot. You will be charmed by the quaint atmosphere, hard working staff, and mouth watering food-- incredibly fresh, so SO good. I also highly recommend the King tea, Baklava, and garlic sauce. I dip EVERYTHING in their garlic sauce and always order two on the side. The Baklava melts in your mouth, and the King tea is the most wonderful combination of sweet, warm, creamy, and deliciously spicy. I only wish we lived closer so we could dine at least once a week! Absolutely love ordering from here. The lentil soup was packed with delicious savory flavor. The lamb shish kofta is always good even in a wrap. I can just taste all of the herbs and love they put into making this. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 star is because the Basmati rice rarely have any flavor but it doesn't ruin the complete dish. Maybe it's how they eat their rice traditionally so I won't completely count them out over a side dish. So instead I got something new, the Moujadrah rice. It was packed with flavors and even sauté onions. Lastly the grape leaves with meat were ok it's an acquired taste. I enjoy this place and can't wait to explore more of their menu. read more

Both the Baba Ganoush and the Hummus were light and silky and packed with flavor. The Kofta wrap sandwich was beautifully chargrilled. Wish they were around when I was at WMU, would have saved me from eating at the cheap burger and taco places. The food here is made fresh, authentic and super delicious. Came here direct from a late-night flight in the middle of a blizzard and warmed up with the lentil soup, a generous portion of creamy hummus with pita, soda and an Iraqi kebab sandwich (on lavash) for the super low price of $14 and some change. I thought there was an error on the bill since the Iraqi kebab sandwich was just $2.99 The Iraqi kebab was one of the best kebabs I have had including the ones from the MiddleEast and Iraqi restaurants in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Kuwait. It took a few minutes for them to freshly grill the mix of lamb and beef long kebabs which were succulent while having a nice chargrilled crust on the outside. The lavash (flat pita) had what I believe was some hummus, tomatoes, onions, sumac and other spices which elevated this to one of the best sandwiches (not just kebab sandwiches) of all times.
