She came over put down place mats and then said, "and, I will be with you whenever I can." Proceeded to leave and after 10 minutes we asked another waitress if she had seen our waitress who's response was "Oh, I don't know, probably waiting on the other 100 people before you." Nothing like a good ole fashioned diner. First off, the outside and inside was sparkly clean. As soon as you walked in - you were greeted by several pies and cakes. The staff were fun and informative. We ordered their chicken wings-which came out hot and crunchy - thank you guys. I ordered the Philly cheese steak with extra meat. It pains me to write this review because my wife and I love to stop here for dinner on our way to the shore and it's usually great. But yesterday... It started off well. We arrived and were seated right away. And then, nothing. Nada. No drinks. Not even a glance in our direction by anyone. Lots of activity. Literally every guest in our section had been visited by wait staff, enjoying their drinks, food, smiles, conversations.....but not us. We have not been to this restaurant in a very long time and we tried a burger. We customize the burger, and they were quite welcoming when we were doing so the burger was humongous and what a flavor it had. It was truly a fresh juicy large burger this was no frozen hamburger. Also, the fries were amazingly hot and very crispy when they came out unlike any fries usually that I've had these fries were amazing. We also had it accompanied by a side of cheese sauce one of the best burgers I've ever had and this was one of the best times at a diner. I've experience in a long time. The Waitrose was very nice.
