I was a patient there today after my procedure-(tooth pulled) a lady comes in the room not the dentist or assistant w no name tag and doesn't introduce herself and starts wanting to see in my mouth. I had to ask her "who are you"? she say the manager she checke for bleeding and helped w gauze. My concern is after having a less than desirable procedure it is distressing for that to happen.. my suggestion is to wear a name tag and introduce yourself for better customer service. Not sure why they make you schedule appointments when they check you in an hour later. The whole place feels like it's not a legit business. I do not mind waiting but without fail I was never seen within 15 minutes of my original appointment time. This should not happen consistently to different customers let alone the same customer. Was sent a message to confirm my appointment. However, when i called to confirm the front desk staff stated I needed to reschedule again. This was the 4th cancellation within the last 6 months. The front desk stated this time the hygienist picked up and abruptly left at end of last week but they did not reach out and started sending pre screening papers that needed to be filled out last week. No one called or anything. I keep trying with this office because I have been going here for quite sometime due to convenience and not really needing to much more then a cleaning. However, if you could avoid this practice at all cost please do so as the turnover rate is out of this world. I have been a customer of Night and Day Dental Raleigh office for at least five years. I received good care initially, but the quality has gone in recent years. I received the strangest cleaning of my life in that the person simply polished my teeth before sending me on my way. There was no scraping involved. Did I see a hygienist? Also about 1.5 years ago they placed a gold crown, but no one told me that insurance was not going to cover it because it had been less than 5 years since they did the first crown. I had to pay the entire cost out of pocket. Recently I complained about food getting caught in between my teeth. They told me that I needed to have another crown replaced. I did not want to pay for this one out of pocket, so two days before the procedure I called the office to ask if insurance approved the crown. I was told that they had my insurance on file. "That's not what I asked," I said. I was asking if the procedure was approved. They could not tell me, so I asked for the insurance specialist and was told the Night and Day office did not have one. I did some more digging and discovered that my insurance did not pre-approve the crown due to inadequate documentation on the part of Night and Day. Again no one from Night and Day Dental informed me of this. They were going to let me pay out-of-pocket for another crown. I went to a different dentist and discovered that the food trapping was actually occurring because there was a large cavity under the gum in the tooth next to the one on which Night and Day Dental wanted to replace the crown. How could they miss it? A cavity of this size did not suddenly appear a month later. The new dentist fixed the cavity and put a crown on the tooth that did not have one previously. I do not have any more food packing issues, and I still have the crown that Night and Day Dental wanted to replace. I am very disappointed with Night and Day regarding the poor quality of care and lack of concern for my financial well-being. How many people can afford to pay $1500 out of pocket? I've had exceptional customer service here. The first thing that attracted me here 4 years ago was that 7 days week office hours. These are very flexible hours for working adults with busy schedules. I could always do a 7 pm appointment after work or easily schedule a weekend appointment. There has never been too much of a wait after an arrival besides completing standard forms. Sometimes there is a wait once I'm back in the room for my detail cleaning. My hygienist (Annie) here is very thorough and professional. I'm always comfortable with her. My only complaint recently is that I schedule my appointment for specific times and sometimes I may receive a rebooked text immediately after leaving at a different time. I'm not sure why but I don't like that. It's always very hard to reschedule an appointment if I don't call ahead. I don't enjoy the redundant covid paperwork I have to fill out when I get there. This should be accessible in an app. It would help if they'd send a link via the text they send to confirm the appointments. That way my information is already received and all I need to do is get checked in and called back. Aside from that, I'm pleased with the service and most importantly the health and care I receive for my teeth. read more

Every time I have gone here there has been some sort of issue. First time they cancel my appointment 30 minutes before it was meant to take place, apparently they overbooked and just didn't bother to tell me while I sat in the lobby. Second time they billed me TWICE for a night guard and never submitted a claim to my insurance, I had to fight back and fourth for months about this. I was looking at a 1400 dollar bill! The front office is deceitful. They double charged me and despite having the bank and credit card statements to prove this ,they look me in the face and refuse to refund the money. Told me to get a lawyer. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General and after that there is small claims court. There is a reason they have a D rating with the BBB. Previously? I would give five stars all day long. From my visit three weeks ago? It would be zero, but they were awesome enough to get me in as a walk in. Waiting over an hour in the chair for a dentist? Not a problem, I'm just grateful to be seen. Have dentist completely ignore the printed treatment summary, asking the same information I clearly typed out in advance to save their time and save myself from having to speak because it hurts? Problem. Being dismissed with "your extraction site is healing, and since it wasn't done here you should go back there," another problem. Why is that a problem? Because this isn't related to the extraction from a week ago, this is another issue. The extraction site felt fine and dandy. So, after all that she says she will refer me to another oral surgeon for another opinion. She made sure to say it would be a different one, so I thought she had noticed the name on my typed treatment summary. Nope, same one. I do not doubt the abilities of her or any dentist at this location, I would rank those all at five stars. I rank the customer service and care I have received at my several visits in the past as five stars and above. I rank the dentists I have had the pleasure of being treated by at this location prior to today's visit as five stars and above. I am giving two stars today due to a lack of care since the dentist, seems to have had their mind made up before looking at the X-rays and disregarded an itemized list of treatments and symptoms. Apparently they are suffering from "lab coat syndrome," which tosses away the validity of a patient's claims with an attitude of "I am superior." Ma'am, you may be a doctor and I respect the time and effort you put into becoming a doctor and honing your skills, but you are not beyond showing care and concern for a patient or paying attention to them. Chances are you are a fantastic doctor who has helped more people than I could count, and I commend you for that, but you failed me. Your seemingly apathetic response to my concerns negate a great deal of respect and deference you would otherwise receive. Due to the near-negligent treatment I received, I went to the Emergency Department at WakeMed and spent $1,829.30 AFTER insurance. Sure she referred me to an oral surgeon, the same one that I had already been to. She was unhelpful, barely looked at the treatment summary I provided, and seemed bothered that I was even there. I did receive a follow up call from their office a day or two later, probably because my first review on Google made its way to Night & Day dental, asking how I was and if there was anything they could do...a little too late. I will continue to go to this establishment because I have received amazing services there before and their hours are fantastic, but I hope to not be seen by the same dentist again, as she seems to have lost her zeal for patient care (assuming she had one to start with) and my visit was a waste of time and money. read more

The front office staff is very rude and unprofessional. Make sure you check with your billing, they charged my insurance company for permanent partial and placed temporary partial in my husband mouth. So the dentist was actually paid for a service that was not rendered. I have called this office numerous of times and nothing has been changed. I have been going to Night and Day Dental for quite a while. My most recent visit was today for a deep clean. I received excellent care from the dental tech Delaney and from the dental hygienist Azellette. They made a wonderful team. If anyone has had a deep clean you know what I am talking about, but Azellette had wonderful chairside manner and was really great in asking me if I was ok. She had a delicate touch, and, in the past, I have felt that some were very heavy handed. I would definitely recommend her and Delaney. I go back to see my dentist tomorrow- Dr Nightingale and he also has excellent patient skills. The front desk has messed up my account three times. They never apply the payments I make to my account and then call me a week later to tell me I have a balance due. I sent them the proof of payment and they have been ignoring my phone calls and emails since. The dentist and his staff were nice enough but the front desk staff made it a horrible experience. My visit today with Night and Day Dental was the best dental visit I have ever had. Check in was a breeze. The nurse got me ready for my cleaning in record time. They are so innovative. No more bulky machine for your x-ray; NOMAD is in town. Portable x-ray is the way of the future. Chris came in for my cleaning. He was professional yet totally warm and friendly. He explained everything he did in the process and was so very gentle. Dr. Nightingale was wonderful. He examine me and gave me an update as to what I needed in dental care going forward. He gave me a price sheet so I would have no surprises. I am sold. If you want a good dentist experience, and believe me I have had some nightmares, go to Night and Day Dental. I called to see if I could get in because my bridge had come unglued (not at all broken or damaged) and they tried to tell me they couldn't help me because they don't carry what is needed to put the bridge back on. The big problem is the front desk. They do not answer the phone and tried to bill my husband for a visit that he had already paid. I come from years of dental assisting and treatment plan management but everytime we went in there we kept this to ourselves as we are trying to see what they're made of. First of all you NEVER share another patient's info in front of a patient! HIPPA VIOLATION! Respect patient's time. Work on bedside manner. But by the time the dr attended to me, I was in and out quickly with the extraction and services done totally to my satisfaction. I researched my provider booklet of my health insurance and randomly chose Night and Day Dentist. Being a bit nervous, I am 88, I was very aware of the surroundings and how I was treated. Had a dental emergency over a holiday weekend. My dentist in Apex wasn't answering the emergency line and I found this office with a quick Google search. The reception team are friendly, professional and answered all of my questions! The hygienist were all super courteous, patient, friendly and knowledgeable about each step. I've gone there for a couple of years now mainly because of convenient location and good hours but I would only stick with them for basic dentistry. They will state that a procedure will cost a certain amount and say that your insurance will cover it but present a bill to you as soon as the work is done. They don't tell you before you get the procedure that you have to front the money because they refuse to let the insurance company pay them. Nope, Instead they saddle you with the bill and then you have to bug them to get your money back! It's a scam. I recently visited Night & Day Dental at 2945 New Bern Ave in Raleigh. Based on my experience on multiple occasions, I cannot recommend this Night & Day Dental. I unfortunately did not have a positive encounter, to put it nicely - the customer service I received was below unsatisfactory and lacked professionalism. After speaking with the most disrespectful manager I've ever encountered, it appears there are broader issues with how staff are trained and supported when it comes to best serving patients. There are easily much better dental practices in the area that would be happy to provide you with the level of care, understanding, communication, and respect that patients deserve. I would encourage assessing all options closely when in need of dental services in this area and by any means necessary, even in an emergency situation, stay far away from this Night & Day Dental and their incompetent poor excuse for a manager. Worst service ever. Called Thursday night in agony as the nerve in a tooth was dying. Made an appointment Friday at noon for a root canal. Showed up at 11:50 Friday only to be told they could only do x-rays and give me a plan. I asked if I could get the root canal after I did the other stuff. Was told there wasn't even a doctor available that day. I have tried to use them before, since I tend to work late, but you can only get a person on the phone 1 out of 5 times and I have never received a call back from the other 4 times when I left messages. read more

Went here for a cleaning as a new patient, filled out all my paperwork and was told I didn't have the appropriate information for my insurance. I came back three days later with all relevant info and proceeded to wait an HOUR AND A HALF before they decided to tell me that they "couldn't pull up my insurance." The plan is active and it took me 2 minutes calling to the insurance company to validate this. I followed all the steps I needed to and these people dropped the ball multiple times, resulting in two days of wasted time and scheduling. Stay away! Stay away! I have had nothing but problems with this office which is sad because the dentists and assistants are all really nice and kind, but the office staff...sheesh! Lets start at the beginning shall we...I became a patient in 2016 and after the initial exam was given a "proposed" treatment plan of a couple of thousand dollars for dental work. Ok fine, so when I start to schedule my appointments for the treatment, I am told "Oh we left some fees off your plan, and it's actually going to be several thousands MORE!" (bait and switch?) so well I need the work and the hours are nice, so let's do it. Come in for the appointment and wait for OVER AN HOUR with the numbing Q-tip with the goo hanging out my mouth. No one came by to update me or anything, so I got up went to the front desk and said I'm leaving! (turns out another patient had an emergency situation going on but someone TELLING me that would have gone a long way.) The next day I spoke with Susanne the manager at the time, who was really apologetic and emailed me her apology and even offered a discount on my next services. Great news right? well... after scheduling an "another chance" appointment, I walk in and find out that they have another patient's treatment plan in my file under my name! Now I already was loosing confident in them for the bait and switch earlier, and NOW I'm thinking they're REALLY just trying to bill my insurance for unnecessary procedures. I cancel the appointment and ask to speak with Susanne, only to find our she's been replaced by another manager named Elizabeth (who isn't friendly at all and talks over you) well I tried to give Elizabeth the benefit of the doubt because she tells me she "inherited" this office and it's taking some time to "clean out" patient files and make sure everything is updated. Well when I tell her that the office staff was trying to schedule me for a crown and filling that WASN"T on my treatment plan and then she hit me with "well maybe you should go to another provider since we can't seem to help you, I'll be happy to send your x-rays to whomever you'd like" Umm...excuse me Elizabeth! That's not customer service. I'm trying to confirm MY treatment plan with what is in your computer and you're talking over me and telling me to go somewhere else?
