Amazing sourdough bread. Better than all the bakeries in Alameda and neighboring cities, This past weekend finally picked up a loaf at the Webster/Haight farmer's market. Moist and meaty in the middle and just enough crunch chew to the crust but not so much your gums get sore. The corn cookie - textured and satisfying. Super unique and def on my short list of cookies. Highly recommend and without a storefront, their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality.

Truly one of the best bread in the bay area! It has the perfect amount of sourdough. It is beautifully baked with the perfect amount of caramel color and airy holes when you slice into it. The bread is very satisfying. It keeps you full for a while. Trevor is a true artisan. He really cares about the product and purchases the finest milled whole grain flour weekly from Petaluma. He and his partner, Robin are both really sweet. You can order your bread through his website and pick-up your bread in Alameda. They maintain safe Covid distancing practices. Order in advance to get your bread. He only makes limited amounts.

Amazing Bread! Amazing Baker! Nothing better to have a Sunday morning brunch with! #avacadotoast

It's the only sourdough I buy besides Arsicault, and I honestly prefer it, it's more substantial and hearty, less soft.

It wasn't overly sweet and still maintained that earthy matcha flavor that many places tend to lose when they jump on the matcha trend. My husband ordered the Vanilla Bean Caramel Latte, also from the seasonal menu, and loved it so much that he said this is now his favorite coffee spot. Safe to say, whenever we're back in town, we'll definitely be returning!

The seating is mostly at table tables along the wall walls of window. It was kind of neat to be able to sit and watch people walk by in the traffic as it ebbed and flowed toward the bridge. The early morning was rather quiet outside so it wasn't noisy at all. I had a lovely chai latte, extra spicy. It was perfect after the chilly walk to this little space of warmth. They had a nice selection of pastries, ultimately I chose a danish because I love them. This one did not disappoint. It was tender and flaky and went perfectly dipped in my chai. If ever, we are in the area again, I will definitely pay another visit. It was nice to step into a local place that wasn't a chain. I think the quality of staff and consumable offerings was just so much better than you would find at one of the other places.

I have driven past the Alameda shop and the lines are very long while there was no line at noon on a Friday at the Oakland shop. Bought numerous items with the favorites being The Okonomiyaki Danish, Yuzu Meringue Bun and Leche Cream Bun. My Eval in order of likey: - Okonomiyaki Danish, if you like savory, get this, similar to Chinese Pork Sung Bun but with Bonito Flakes, Seaweed , Mayo, Furikake, on a crispy layered flaky Danish...my fav - Yuzu Meringue Bun, an ode to lemon meringue pie, complex combo, the yuzu is really tart and still sweet, bun is flaky, interior gooey, and the dessert is good if you like sweets, just a bit too sweet for me - Leche Flan Milk Bun, simple, not overly sweet, just enough milk cream filling and has a crunchy, exterior topping, tied for second, but simple creation compared to above two - Ube Milk Bun, same as above but I'm not a big fan of Ube this is last for me. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the first one. Not cheap pastries but worth the splurge on occasion.
