This place was soo good! Can't wait to come back. The owners or servers were nice. It's easy to get too and there's seating right outside.

Really cute spot with cozy vibes. There isn't much seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go place. The drawings of their mascot all over the shop add a lot of charm and make it feel personal, like a small business run purely out of love. The food is decent, and it's a place I'd happily come back to and support. Service: Warm and friendly Food/Drinks: Decent bagels and donuts, simple and satisfying Ambiance: Cozy, personal, and full of character 8/10 A charming small business worth supporting with solid grab-and-go food. Rounded up.

From time to time I like to frequent mom and pop breakfast places instead of going to franchise giants like McDonald s , jack in the box or Denny's . I didn t want anything too large because I also had a lunch spot in mind to try out I this particular Friday . Inside is small but clean . A family operation looks like husband and wife. Simple menu, bagels donuts, donut holes, croissants , coffee frappes etc. I just order the half cheese and egg jalapeño bagel. It was ok. It was very hot temperature wise and fresh. Location is great. Alameda is a great place to discover new places. For instance I never knew Alameda has a KOHLs and Office Max. Also an army navy supply store which is very cool in its own right . The naval base here still has the Uss hornet tours still I believe . The south shore has volleyball courts and the best view of the SF skyline I've ever seen, it was a total clear day helped a lot. 4/5 price and location and options will make me try it again . Btw for parking I parked at jack in the box like a min walk away.

Taste wise - they're pretty decent. The quality is there. But the accessibility and convenience, along with pricing, knocked it down a star. The pastrami sandwich had two thin slices of pastrami only. They do add in some lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo and mustard, but for $11.. It's a pretty thin sandwich. I did like that they toast the sandwich though! My egg, sausage, and cheese croissant was good however I wish they had some condiments available to add in. I'm a hot sauce and ketchup girly, so my breakfast sandwich felt a little lacking without. They press TF out of the croissant so it's suuuuuuper thin. I didn't love the texture of that. This was also $10-11. In what world does a single chocolate bar run you $3 now? I do have to say it was delicious. The donut had a soft chew to it that I really enjoyed and the choc icing was pretty good. But still! Mind you, it's metered street parking only. If you can find parking closer to the residential end, it's free but it's slim pickings as it's located on the main street. They don't even have a sign out front, other than a small one on the side walk, so kinda easy to miss. The shop is way small, so I can see it getting a bit crowded. They have a big menu but none of the donuts, bagels, etc are labeled.... So unless you just know what you want, it can be hard to figure out what is what. They do take Apple Pay and CC but I believe there is a $5 or $10 minimum otherwise you'll incur a fee.

The people here are so nice and the bagels were so warm and good! We loved it here! The donuts were also very good!

Parking on a Saturday morning is a travesty, but that's not their fault. Just be prepared. The couple working were adorable and so friendly. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese croissant sandwich, and a bagel with cream cheese. Food came out fairly quickly. There were seats available inside, but it was a beautiful day, so I opted for outdoor seating. Sandwich was pretty basic. I wouldn't knock it, but nothing crazy amazing. Bagel was standard as well. Edges a little burnt but nothing I couldn't handle. I'd come back just because the employees were so friendly.

Alameda bagels and donuts captures the essence and true art of donut making. The owners are husband and wife, fellow Cambodians. They truly know how to make the perfect classic donuts. Nothing fancy here, just amazing tasting donuts, with the perfect touch of class, light, sweet, crispness/crunch especially in an old fashion. They also use Mr. Espresso coffee! Donut wait around! Go support local yall!

I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and a dozen donut holes. Bagel was toasted and it was just enough cream cheese. Donut holes aren't too sweet and tastes great with coffee! They have a lot of other pastries and even sell cream cheese! I want to try their strawberry cream cheese one day but not at the moment since I'm trying to watch out for my diet lol! I didn't get the croissant but they look huge! Bigger than my hand lol It does get warm in the shop but there's some tables outside you can sit and eat at. Staff are nice and friendly!

Customer service is really poor. After ordering an iced coffee, I went back to the counter and asked if they could make it sweet because I like my iced coffee sweet. The gentleman at the counter told me that they don't make it that way and I should've asked him when I placed the ordered. Isn't that his job? I told him I was a new customer and didn't realize they didn't make their iced coffee sweet. I told him, this is the first time I've ever had it unsweetened. Then they started scolding me and debating with me. I politely asked if he could just make it sweeter. The lady behind the counter starts yelling at me and making me feel uncomfortable, I was really caught off guard on how they were towards me. I just left and will NEVER return again. I grew up in Alameda and have always supported local businesses. Never been treated this way. It's obvious, these people need lessons on how to treat customers. Disappointed.

Good bagel shop! Probably the best around this area that I've had so far, but will need to try a few more times to be sure. I walked in at 11am on a Friday and the man behind the register was prompt and kind. They still had a decent selection of bagels and donuts. I ordered a couple bagels toasted with cream cheese. They made them quickly and labeled them (which I greatly appreciate!). The bagels were pretty good and well toasted, there was a good amount of cream cheese plopped on there (which is v important to me I love cream cheese), and they were well cut. Overall, all the fixins for a good local bagel spot. I'll come back and try a few more things before I say FOR SURE that this is my bagel spot.

    Half a dozen donuts; 2 chocolate-raised, 2 maple-raised, and 2 sugar-raised $1.50 each, $10 for 1/2 dozen, or $19 for a dozen

Alameda Bagel and Donuts has been at this same location for as long as i can remember and they've survived the test of time based on all the other businesses that have come and gone on the block. I come here mainly for donuts and bagels and it's been enjoyable every time. The owners are friendly and know how to move the line when there is one. I also have to note that they serve my favorite kind of croissant: That one that has a shiny top and super fluffy/airy. Parking can be tough in the area but if you do find one, youll be able to grab a table and eat inside.

Hey, this place makes good bagel sandwiches! People will say...."you can make those at home!" It won't be the same. You can buy the bagels and all the ingredients, but you can't buy the skill and experience to make that bagel sandwich just right. The other day, I had the Lox Bagel and the Alameda Special w/ Sausage. Both were great. The toasted fresh bagel was both soft and crisp. The fresh ingredients and toppings made for the smooth blending of flavors that created a sandwich that was perfect for a late morning meal. I live in Alameda, and it's great to find a business doing it right.

Bomb.com I loved the croissant sandwiches! I got bacon and cheese for my husband and I got the spinach feta for myself. Amazing. Great customer service. The orange juice is freshly squeezed! Grabbed this on a whim heading to the airport and I'll definitely come back!

And the bagels are tasty! The bagels are New York style, although they are a little outside the normal range of variation. We ordered a couple of poppy and sesame bagels, with a side of cream cheese. The crust on some of the bagels was soft and pale, while others had benefitted from a little more time in the oven and came out crisp. The dough inside, though, had a flat sweetness to it. There was a hint of malt flavor but it tasted more like a lightly sweet bread. The crumb was at the ideal midpoint between fluffy and chewy -- enough structure to hold up toppings but still light enough not to break your jaw. The cream cheese was on the firmer side but had a respectable tang. Perfectly matched to the bagel itself in both cases thickness and flavor. The trick here is to look closely at the bins: check which bagels came out golden brown and ask for those. This is a bakery after all! Get the breads that came out best and you won't be disappointed.

Although I haven't tried many of their drinks, I can say that their matcha latte has been consistently good. Today I ordered one with almond milk and the matcha flavor is nicely balanced. Good ratio between matcha and milk. The matcha itself tastes pretty well rounded - not bitter, but also not too subtle in flavor. I probably got the matcha here like three times and it has not failed me yet. My partner really enjoys the Malasada but they can sell out pretty quickly. Previously I've tried their Ube Crinkle and their donuts and they were pretty good as well. This time, I wanted something a little less sweet and small so I tried the Bibingka which was great! I love mochi and the Bibingka had a mochi texture to it. It comes with some pineapple bits which I tend to avoid, but my desire to try something new overrode that today and thankfully, the bits were small. It's a dense little bite, but I enjoyed it! A perfect little bike treat. I don't get much interaction here with the workers since it's such a quick stop, but it's okay. I think depending on what time you go, it just gets really busy and employees are just trying to chug out the orders. We'll be back again for those delicious drinks and pastries though!
