Probably the worst service ever considering price for shoes can exceed over $300. I was there to make some returns and the sales rep (smaller Hispanic male) asked if the value of the return was over $500 as their policy was not to exceed any return over $500 in a given day. I asked if he could total up my return and he did with reluctance. Once completed he told me I was at $544 and would have to come back the following day to complete the return for the remaining $44. I asked if he could make an exception and he insisted it was above his pay grade and that it would likely not be allowed. I asked for a manager and he pointed out the person and said he would be the man to speak with. I asked if he could speak with his supervisor and he said verbatim "nah, you talk to him" and pointed at the manger again. He didn't even offer an alternative to a soft introduction or even his name. Thereafter I asked the manager if he could make an exception and while I was asking the unruly sales representative starts turning his head from side to side like he's saying no no no. To my luck my request was accommodated as it seemed unreasonable to come back for $44 dollars as their merchandise often sells for more than $65 and shoes exceeding $300. My point being is that quality control and training of these supposed company representatives are nonexistent and lack oversight. Whatever happened to the days of kind service with a smile and going the distance for customers!?!? I can assure you this location is in need of an overhaul. read more

If I could give this Nike zero stars I would. I drove 40 minutes and arrived at 8:59 after calling them and letting them know I was picking up my on hold shoes. When I got there the doors were locked but there were multiple employees inside. They were giggling and not engaging with me or what I was saying. They refused business with excuses and were the most disrespectful group of staff. We stood outside for 20 minutes as they made fun of us. We felt as if this was racially motivated and will take further action to have serious consequences take place. It's shocking to have people with absolutely no sympathy for others. Tyler (I think that was his name) and Ray were the ones who assisted me. They even got me a 15% discount! They answered all my questions, made suggestions, and were there for me. I was SO disappointed in this place. I prefer Nike shoes because they fit my foot well. I was excited it'd to check out the new store. I thought they would have an incredible selection and lots of colors to choose from. Not so. They seem to be focused mostly on clothing. They don't carry much of anything in my size--1X--even if that was what I'd come in for. Hardly anything to choose from in women's shoes. I guess I will look for an outlet. I placed an order online and went to the store to pick it up. I told the representative that I was there to pick an online purchase and he said I had to download an app in order to pick up the order even though I had a confirmation email saying it was ready for pick up. It took forever to download the app and when I finally did there was no purchases in my inbox. After a manager came out they realized it wasn't for a "shoe release" it was just for a regular pick up. I deliberately sought out this store since it's a Nike "live" store. It's an hour drive and the Yelp reviews made me a little nervous, but I had a great experience. Charlie was the associate who helped me out. I was shopping for my husband and Charlie walked me through the whole store and helped me find an outfit, head to toe. They have some cool, more exclusive, items that I haven't seen in their standard stores. He had a ton of helpful product knowledge too. Its clear he's really passionate about the brand and working there. If you're a skeptic about visiting, ask for Charlie! I won't be visiting often due to the drive but I would definitely visit again. read more

I was having trouble returning an online order because I wasn't receiving the correct type of return shipping label and because I had paid with my PayPal account I could not return in store. It was getting quite confusing but thank goodness this store was able to jump in and help! I agree with Janice and I hate to say this but if your BLACK stay away from this store. I went to get a price adjustment on two items that were originally $150 each and they dropped to $119 the next week. I had both receipts and the purchases were showing in the Nike plus app also so what more proof do I need to get a refund. This is the holidays and these were gift purchases so I didn't have the items w/me anymore. So, what more do I need to show proof. They refused to help me or make any courtesy efforts to resolve the issue. The supervisor a white female refused to do anything and was adamant about requiring I bring the items back to the store to show proof of purchase for the refund. Long story short, I went to the Nike Grove location the next day and didn't have any problem. I explained the situation to the Nike rep. at the Grove location and they were able to do the return and credit back the difference to my card using my Nike Plus app and the receipt. Thank you, Nike Grove for the outstanding service and not treating me like a criminal. Nike - Long Beach is joke. I know this is a new store but looks like they have a lot of work to do when it comes to customer service and treating people w/respect. read more
