I probably eat here once or twice a week. I'm originally from NY so, I like my pizza greasy! Staff always cool with me.

Niki's is a place that you can get a large Calzone and some slices to fit your cravings. I have been here a few times and like the place. Nothing big to Yelp* about, but I do enjoy the food. More times than not I take it home. Items I have enjoyed: Meatball & Sausage Calzone, the spaghetti, and the slices. Overall, nothing really stands out in my opinion, but they ALWAYS do their best to greet you with a smile and hearty thank you. Though sometimes they get busy and the orders get slowed.. they don't rush it and make it how you like it. As noted before in other reviews, the age of the bathrooms is showing itself and the soda station seems out of the way possibly. But overall, I will continue to return when I am local and want a slice of pie. read more

I've seen Niki's just passing by for years and even used to work at the CU right across the street, but kept forgetting about it, but today a post on FB reminded me, so I took my mother there for lunch. Okay, so the decor wasn't what I expected, but oh my goodness, the food was so yummy! Mom had the spaghetti with meat sauce and I had the lunch cannelloni. Okay, I part Italian, so I seldom eat red sauce out because of course, mine is the best, but the sauce with the cannelloni was so good, I used the bread to get every bit of it!!! I bought the dinner cannelloni with Alfredo for my husband's dinner. I can update later on he liked it ( he's still at work when this was written). Also, I met one of the co owner's ( wish I got his name) and he was super nice. Now I know why the food was so good..he's Sicilian! They also had a nice side salad. It was fresh and crispy. What could possible make up for Saccone's not paying their rent and getting kicked out of this space? Niki being able to move in and setup so fast! This is a truly great medium crust pizza, deserving of the reputation they've gained from being in the Dobbie for over 20 years. We tried a white pizza, not easy to find with ricotta on it down here (below New York), but they have it, and it was very good. Also worth a try is their fried calamari, not something you'd think to try at a pizza place, but we gave it a whirl. It's not the typical breaded rings most places have, but very tender breaded strips, and a very large serving too! Just don't go when the school next door is having a game, you either won't be able to get in the door, or if the game has started you won't be able to park. read more

I had the calzone special, which is a cheese calzone and drink for $5.99. You can add extra ingredients for a dollar each, so I got pepperoni. The calzone was really good, and it comes with a cup of marinara sauce, which was also good. The wait staff was also friendly. You order at the counter, and the food comes out relatively quickly. They also offer several specials on pizza slices and various pastas, as well as whole New York style pizzas. The food is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Niki's. read more

Sad food. It was a frozen dinner breaded chicken patty with some plastic cheese. And the driver was yelling at me cause he could not read addresses very well. So far, so good. I'm not gonna lie... a few things were dented and broken when I learned that Saccones closed. I mourned for about a month, and then I peeled myself off the floor and headed to Niki's. I got 2 slices. Cheese and pep/mushroom. It's good stuff! They even gave me a free drink while I waited for my pieces of pie. The guy behind the counter actually smiled and spoke to me in a pleasant manner (unlike the former Saccones). More order experimentations must be done. But, for now, I give them two greasy thumbs up. read more

We didn't seem to find the greatness in this place, I'm sorry to say. It did suit our need for a low cost Italian meal, but it is a case of 'getting what you pay for'. We did not try the pizza, so maybe that's where we went wrong. This is a cafe-style place with order at the counter service, and three televisions spread throughout. The counter service was pleasant and very friendly. We stopped in early on a Friday evening, so there was no crowd and the food service was quick. I ordered the canelloni. It was okay, and contained more mozzarella cheese than necessary. My tween daughter ordered the baked ziti - same result - a lot of cheese that she pushed to the side in glops. My tween son ordered the stromboli - again, so much mozzarella-style cheese that he nearly gagged on a big chunk of it, and ended up removing alot of it. The two baked dishes came with rolls that appeared to be topped with seasoning or cheese sprinkles, but tasted kind of bland to us. If you like your baked Italian dishes heavily covered in gloppy cheese, then you might enjoy this place. We may go back and try the pizza sometime. read more

Why have I never been here before?! $20 got us an XL 2 topping pizza, a slice of cheese pizza for the kiddos, 2 sodas and a side salad. The pizza was delicious--thin crust, not too much sauce, and cooked perfectly. Perfect place to bring the kiddos or just grab a slice during lunch. Every couple of months, someone in our family inevitably always says "you know what I'm craving? A big slice of Nikis cheese pizza!" Yes, it's greasy..but sometimes greasy is good and exactly what hits the spot. Call ahead for pick up, the guys at the front are always courteous and the pizzas are huge for like $9. Is it artisan like Slapbox or exceptional like Homeslice? No. It's Niki's and we love them. read more

Stromboli! This place holds the award for best stromboli in my book. It always comes out piping hot and with the perfect amount of ingredients. When I say perfect amount, I mean so much that they're nearly bursting out of the seams! The ingredients are tasty and the sauce is perfect. If you become a regular like me and my family have, you start to get treated like family from people working. Also, everything is priced so inexpensively that I bet this place is utter chaos during the adjacent high school's lunch time. If you've never tried Niki's, what are you waiting for!? read more

Looking at the pictures on yelp I thought this would be the bomb! I ordered a Stromboli, calzone, and eggplant parm. It was all barely passable at best. I ordered the calzone with mushroom, tomato, onion, and spinach in it. It looked amazing when I got it, but the bottom was soggy and soaked through into the cardboard box. It fell apart horribly. The Stromboli was not a "Stromboli" in the traditional sense. It was just cheese! It was the only edible part of the meal however, and it was good, just disappointed to have nothing but cheese inside of it. The eggplant parm is really only spaghetti. Gross spaghetti. With a greenish-grey piece of slime "eggplant" hidden inside. So disappointed by this place! read more

My family and I usually trek to Cedar Park to go to Niki's Pizza, but since this location is closer we wanted to try it out. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Pizza lacked taste and flavor. Service was fine though. We will definitely continue making the drive to the Cedar Park location, just not this one. read more

Not great but not bad. Generous sized slices, the price is fair and the toppings were more than adequate. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I like and the crust was a tad soggy on the supreme pizza we got but it didn't ruin it; true New York style pies all have this characteristic. The calzones look good but I've never had one, nor can I speak for the other dishes they offer. The pizza itself is slightly better than middling; again, not great but not bad. Worth the money. However, I really liked the (as another reviewer called it) the "unintentionally '80s retro decor, including the sit down console style video game that had nothing but classic games on it); it reminded me of the old Pizza Hut restaurants we used to go to in the '80s when I was a kid. Coupled with the holly bushes in front of the door identical to the ones that ran the length of my grandmother's front porch, I walked out with a feeling a deep nostalgia that earned the place many return visits. Nikki's pizza is a great place! They have affordable pizza and great thin crispy crust.... I could honestly eat a whole pizza by myself.... While I do love their pizza and other Italian options such as calzones Alfredo and others.... The place does have some complaints Occasionally the pizza will be really greasy a little to much in my opinion And the tiramisu doesn't taste like tiramisu.... Yum yum. Great New York Pizza, great price, great family. I so enjoy ordering pizza at any of the Niki locations. Uncle Niki opened the first one in Cedar Park and soon his hard-working nephew opened the Round Rock restaurant across from the high school.............. Long before I was a Yelper, I visited Niki's in Dobie. I work for the University so it's a convenient place to grab a bite. Now before everyone rolls their eyes, listen to my take on things. Dobie Mall is a location that scares most people away. It's dirty and hollow. Many businesses have moved out or closed. The fire there drove a lot of people away and the resurgence of The Drag didn't help Dobie either. That being said Niki's and Burrito Factory are two gems inside. Fast forward to today. I went home to visit my family up north and was expecting them to pick up Conan's pizza. Instead they brought home Niki's. I didnt know they had other locations. The pizza is a contrast to Conan's wheat crust and deep pie style of pizzas. The pizza we ate from Niki's was super thin, but not crispy. So if you like being able to fold your pizza in half and consume it as quickly as possible... try this!! The ingredients tasted pretty fresh. I like a lot of veggies on my pizza so I was pleased overall. I took a look at their menu. They sure do offer a lot of options. I tasted the meatballs and while the meatball itself was delicious, the sauce wasn't anything to yelp about. I also tasted the wings which were very spicy, but delicious. Overall it was good. I would worry that offering so many options at a pizza place might turn it into a restaurant based around mediocrity like Big Bite or other restaurants that offer a million menu items. Anyone who has been to Big Bite knows what I am talking about. You end up there when you're a little inebriated from Abel's. I am satisfied for now though. The rules of Pizza ordering? Football/Gameday quickie pizza? Papa Johns. Family pizza time? Conan's, Niki's fun places like that. I think that's pretty fair. i had the meat sauce pasta which i also added sausage and it was good. i'm used to much bigger portions but for the price i can't complain. in all honesty, both Gino's and La Cocina were closed on Sunday so we gave Niki's a try and i'm glad we did. we also ordered a Supreme pizza but it was not as good as the pasta. maybe it became soggy from take-out but it was not what i had hoped for... maybe they could have baked it for another 10-15 minutes? this is my first italian experience in austin so i don't have a lot to compare to...but we'll check out Gino's and see how Niki's stack up. since my wife picked up the food, (i've been sick all weekend) i have no opinion on their service. all i can say is that they had the order ready on time when my wife went to go pick it up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Just tried Gino's pasta today and Niki's is superior by far. Gino's skimped out on their pasta sauce while Niki's gave more than enough sauce and was more flavorful. Wow! I'm a born & raised NJ girl and I am veryyyyyy much a pizza snob (oh yes, they do exist). "Oh! It's too doughy!" "This has more grease than cheese!" " This sauce is too sweet!" Usually that's what you'll hear from me when I'm trying any pizza not from the East Coast. Not at Niki's though. We really liked it! They do pizza by the slice which I think all places need to do! Anyway, the pizza is the right thickness, the sauce tasted delish, the seasonings were great and the crust, yum! We are going to be ordering from here again very soon I'm sure. read more

Niki's is now Gluten Free friendly! I am seriously addicted to these pizzas, Niki's knows their stuff. I am very happy with the price of the gluten free alternative. Places like Austin's only offer GF options as a personal size pie, and the bill will be a min of $20. Niki's GF option is a large pizza and (depending on how many toppings) can be anywhere from $12 - $15. The gluten free crust is softer than the typical crust. That can hardly be helped due to the nature of GF and I actually prefer it that way. Highly recommended! read more

I was really hoping for at least a three star place, because Better Half is from NJ and is always looking for good pizza. I was hoping to tell him that hey, we have a new pizza home. I dunno where some of you think this is awesome pizza... but no. Just no. The place is a dump, and it has nothing to do with the fact the teens from the high school across the street were in and out. I don't mind places that are older, because I'm always on the lookout for good holes in the wall, but this place was not clean or kept up. It sure doesn't give a good first impression.Tables and the floor were not clean, and I was wary of the tea dispenser (the guy behind the counter came out after we'd been served, shook it, shrugged and went back behind the counter. Oookay.). Some other employee in the back occasionally hacked unpleasantly - allergies, or was he sick? Don't know. Let's not get into the queasy looking partial pizzas under the lights, obviously left over from lunch time (we were there for an early dinner, a little after 4). I got our baseline order - a freshly made small cheese pizza for my son and I - figuring that if they have the basics down, they'll have other things in order. The guy behind the counter was pretty impassive, though he was polite (albeit distantly) and served our food as it came out. It came out in a timely manner. The pie came out with a couple of paper plates tucked into the crust on one side. That was interesting. Something on the pie had a faint vinegary smell; I never did determine what that was. The pizza looked vaguely anemic. The crust was nicely thin and that's all I can really say that's positive. It wasn't tasty at all. In fact, the mozzarella was nearly tasteless and the sauce was... interesting. It's like ordering tacos at a Mexican restaurant, or spaghetti at Italian. If you screw up the basics, why should I venture further? So one star for timeliness and a decent crust. That's all I can say. As a last note, I added ice to my queasy tea and took it home, but forgot about it until the ice already melted. You should have seen the sediment. Ew. Won't be coming back. read more

It's like being back home in New York! Real Italians, making real sauce and pizza, and shouting at each other in Italian accents. I love it! Nikki's is a great place to come for a hearty italian dinner with that "corner pizza shop" feel. The pasta is great, because Nikki's sauce (which is definitely homemade) is just delicious. They are very generous with portions and serve you a nice helping of garlic bread when you sit down to eat. The pizza is great! However, I recommend you eat it there. For some reason, Nikki's pizza just doesn't hold up well in the pizza box, and even a 15 minute trip home will get you a soggy pizza. Too bad! Otherwise, I LOVE their pizza. Calzones are great too...all around, if you just want that nice, filling Italian food without a lot of fuss and fancy decor...this is the place. My husband picked up pizza from Niki's for dinner tonight. He is from New York so he loves his pizza. We do not do regular pizza chains (Domino's, Mr. Gattis, etc.). So when we found this place on Yelp we had to try it out. Before we were going to Brookilyn PIe Co but they were a little on the expensive side. Niki's is great pizza and good prices! We get two cheese pizza's and the pasta sampler. Just delicious!!!! read more
