Niki's is still our go to. Best pizza in our area by our standard. Great hand tossed crust-half with cheese, pepperoni, and black & green olives . Other half of pizza =breakfast bacon-crumbled, fresh tomatoes and green olives. Red pizza sauce over entire pizza. They definitely don't skimp on the toppings -pizza is very nicely covered. Good amount of cheese too. There are several new pizza places in Cedar Park and Leander but we really enjoy the family owned and operated small town feel of Niki's. Came here for lunch. It's kind of confusing since they have two doors and I entered through the dining room. The prices are pretty good as there are not very many places you can get lunch for under $8 with a drink. I got two slices of pizza. The pizza was OK - very thin and kind of NY style so you have to fold it up. Just i think the crust just needed something extra and the toppings needs more flavor. We have had the gyro wrap, mozzarella sticks, pizza (huge slices) that has a flavor like being somewhere else :) The meatball sub, tasty tiramisu and cannoli are also recommended. I had the best ever Chicken Salad served at Nikis Pizza. It's fresh romaine lettuce with a mouth watering marinated Chicken. It's thinned out and warm. Not cold and preserved. The dressing is the best along with a pita bread on the side. Omg, it's the perfect salad. Not old ,lame, nor unappealing. It's what a salad should be, a delicacy in your mouth. I lived by Niki's for a few years and never tried it because the building looks like a fast food place, and I never gave it a chance. It wasn't until I moved that I discovered how amazing the food is there. The BEST NY style pizza anywhere. Their Chicken Niki's is awesome and the gorgonzola chicken is magically decadent. We decided to go out and get pizza somewhat close to home. This place is in a small strip center next to a Jimmy John's sub shop next-door. I read through many of the reviews prior to coming here and what no one mentioned was the fact they do not serve any alcoholic beverages. They do have some fountain drink choices, but that's about it. We got here on a Friday evening at 6 PM and were surprised that we were the only customers in the place which meant all the tables and the floor were clean. There's no table service here, you order at the counter. They do have some premade pizza pies in a glass case ready to go if you want a slice and a salad. Our group of four decided on the butcher pizza, sausage mushroom, pepperoni calzone and two gyro sandwiches. The calzone was much larger than expected, and the pizza was generously filled with toppings. The gyros were pretty average, but the greek salad was fresh and crisp. To be honest, the food exceeded expectations for what we paid. The fare was good enough that it would probably have us coming back again or at least getting a pizza to go. Passing through Austin and decided to stop at Niki's Pizza. What a great surprise. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was fast and friendly. I had a slice of cheese pizza and it was very good; simple with a tasty crust & cornmeal covering on the bottom, which I love. It's hard to find a place that serves good pizza by the slice anymore. They have a diverse menu offering pizza & Italian & Greek dishes. I would definitely come here again and highly recommend it. And - to top it off, the gentleman at the counter asked if it was my first time, and it was, and he gave me the slice of pizza and a drink 'on the house.' Who does that anymore!! I got this delivered, and the food was pretty good. Delivery was faster than expected, which is always nice. In the app they don't really tell you the ingredients, so my friend got unexpected mushrooms in his Philly Cheesesteak. He said had he known he would've requested it without. He prefers just meat and cheese. I got a mushroom and cheese calzone; I think there were less mushrooms in my meal than his. That being said, it was really good! I couldn't finish it, as the portion was big, but it was well cooked and full of cheesy goodness. It was still good when I ate the rest for lunch the next day. Woohoo! Another "close to" New York style pizza--and I don't have to fight 40 minutes of traffic to get there! It's only a few miles away, so about 20 minutes. Sigh. Oh, Austin. But I digress. Apparently this is the second Niki's, because each time I call to order they ask me if I know which one I'm calling. Yup, I do, and I'm so happy you're located where you are! In fact, en route home from the airport after a business trip, I directed the husband to make a detour so I could grab our dinner. You may I think I sound dramatic, but when you hail from the northeast and love its pizza, you are deeply saddened and perpetually frustrated by the ATX pizza scene. If you've had good NY style pizza, I don't have to explain it. For those who have never tasted this divine food from the gods, I'll try to describe it: thin, but chewy not crunchy crust, slightly sweet sauce, a little greasy, and loads of cheese. Ahhh...my mouth is watering. Niki's does it pretty well and said that many customers have told them so. IMO the crust is not quite doughy enough and the sauce could use a pinch of sugar. Otherwise, I'm happy. Darn close to the real thing and the pizza is still warm when I get it home. I've also had their gyros. Now they are perfect. And, maybe $6. Seriously, I'm pretty sure I could eat two in one sitting. They are THAT good. Two areas they could improve: once we ordered a pie with...meatballs, I believe. There were way too few of them on there. Though, admittedly, Niki's pizza is VERY inexpensive. $10 I think? Next time, I'll simply ask for double toppings and still come out way ahead. Just moved to Austin. Originally from bk, NY. Been living in Texas though for 5 years. To keep this short and to the point, right under Homeslice, this is by FAR the best pizza place I've ever come across. They say "NY STYLE PIZZA" And it's TRUE! 'Mom & Pop' feel with familiar faces behind the counter, Niki's Pizza at Center Ridge is a must stop, whether it's for a quick slice or a hand tossed pie. An interesting place that is either hit or miss depending on my mood and cravings. I haven't had their pizza, so I can't speak to that. I usually order a pasta when I come here, and am always unsure of how I feel. If you're a typical American brat like me, who grew up on Olive Garden and Fazoli's, the pasta here is going to taste very.... off. I don't know if that's how authentic Italian-style pasta is supposed to taste. But it is extremely heavy sauce, without the accompanying almost-umami-like flavour. The result is that most of the time I feel like I'm just eating raw carbs and fats without any flavour. Which, being pasta, that might actually be true. Service is great and speedy. I used to love Nikki's. Unfortunately this particular location has gone down as far as their quality. Not much cheese on the cheese pizzas, the calzone and stromboli have shrunk and the fried mushrooms are dangerous grease bombs that burned my mouth after waiting almost 10 min to eat them. I bit into one and it was just a ball of hot oil. The crust was just soaked in oil. I think they sat in oil until the oil was hot enough to fry them. It was gross. I ate two and threw the rest away. Crust has good flavor and was cooked to good consistency, not stingy with toppings, toppings are good quality and cheese was good along with just enough!
