She can tell I was down for the creepy vibes. There was racks of all kinds of vintage finds. It was challenging with my baby angel on my back but I managed to find the most beautiful, floral, eighties blouse with sheer sleeves! It was giving Robert Smith vibes. A must in my book. It was a great deal too. The shop is located close to all the other shops and you can really make a nice afternoon just shopping. I wear six-gauge jewelry in my ears and have a place I go to inside the market. La Moda has a great selection and good prices. You can find almost anything throughout the swap meet from health herbs to exotic live snakes. There are a few food eateries as well. There is a small fee to enter and since I'm a Senior (over 60, not high school), it costs 50 cents. Fantastic Swap Meet is a good place to explore whether you're looking to buy something or not. I guarantee you won't walk out empty handed.

Unfortunately, today was the most unpleasant experience I've had. While I fully respect the closing times, from about 30 minutes before close, a staff member began repeatedly shouting over the intercom. At 7:57 p.m., I was at the back of the store, literally about to head up to pay, when the new security guard approached me and sternly said the store was closed. I checked my phone and calmly said, "It's 7:57; I've got three minutes," as I was preparing to head up front. He walked to the front, where my mom was already in line, and spoke negatively about me to another staff member, not realizing she was my mom. As I walked toward the front to pay, he continued glaring at me with an angry expression. My mom and I exchanged a look, surprised by the hostility. I love this store, but no customer should feel targeted or unwelcome for simply shopping until it's time to pay. I hope management can address this so loyal customers like myself can feel welcome again.
