There's not much you can do to make a microderm stand out, as they're pretty straightforward... UNLESS you also do the neck AND décolletage, as Nilou did. I was so pleasantly surprised, as probably only 5% of other places do the neck and no one has ever included the chest!! And to top it off, Nilou gave me an incredible facial afterwards and massaged my face, neck and shoulders so nicely. It was amazing and relaxing (I even dozed off), and I felt great at the end of it. I had never been the type guy to get a facial until my girlfriend (now wife) told me to go see Nilou about 3 years ago to get rid of some bumps on my face and clear up my skin. I didn't believe facials really did anything but was pleasantly surprised at how clear my skin was after a week and stayed that way for several months. Additionally the little white bumps were gone. I now go every 3 months with a standing appointment. Nilou really takes the time with her clients to make sure what she is doing is thorough and not just doing a bunch of creams. Despite other reviews, I had no problem finding the Spa. You just get the elevator and open the door that says suite 375 and 376. There you will find the waiting room. I had an amazing experience with my microdermabrasion, peeling and extractions. She explained everything she was doing and she answered my questions about future treatments. I have seen Nilou for 3 years for brow shaping and eyelash tinting and she is the best in the metro DC area! I actually drive from DC to Arlington to see her! She uses the threading method for brow shaping, which is so much better for you skin than waxing. She takes time, but is very efficient and the results are great. I never have to wait more than a minute or two when I arrive for appointments, her location is super easy to get to right off Hwy 50 and Pershing Drive and there is plenty of parking! A huge plus!! Nilou is amazing. I was a week out from one of my best friend's weddings (that I am a bridesmaid in) and had just recently darkened my hair. As a natural redhead, my brows are quiiiite light - meaning you can hardly see them at all. With my new darker hair color, I was looking like Uncle Fester from the Adams Family. I emailed her with my plight and she took pity on me and booked me an appointment for a few days later with no problem! I came in and she tinted my brows, lashes and threaded my brows. It was my first time so I was incredibly nervous (I'd heard it was very painful). It was totally unnecessary because she did a PHENOMENAL job. My brows look better than they ever have and she was so quick and precise with the threading, it barely hurt at all. The color was darker on my brows than anticipated but she explained they would fade a bit when I shower and wash my face in the week leading up to the wedding. They look perfect. I have had more people compliment them in the few days since than I ever have before. I went ahead and booked her for a revisit at the beginning of November and won't likely go to anyone else from now on!
