We walked into this restaurant without planning to, for a light meal. It was outstanding! The service was excellent and there was plenty of room for us to sit comfortably. All the nice things you read about the lovely ambience in other reviews are true. I ordered grasshopper tacos, which are not for everyone but I found them delicious and there were many of them on my taco! My friend had a lovely grilled fish and tasty dessert. This could well be the best restaurant in the city. Real passion in the kitchen, detail oriented service, and a relaxed atmosphere in the dining room. Prices are fair, and it's all about the food. Standouts included the beet salad with feta and puffed quinoa, the octopus appetizer with Spanish chorizo, oysters (both ways), the pork tenderloin, the grilled shrimp, and the heavenly baklava that I was still eating on the plane ride home. read more

Everything about NIM screams unique love the music, it wasn't too loud, the staff was superb and the food was outstanding the portions as well. My friends and I ate dinner there tonight. The outdoor courtyard seating was very comfortable on this beautiful evening. I had the beet salad with chicken. The salad was fresh and light and delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly; moist and seasoned well. My friends had the NIM salad, the beef tenderloin, and the lamb. All dishes were sensational, seasoned well and full of flavor! We even got dessert...the brownie, the cookie, and the flan. Nothing disappointed! The servers were all very attentive and the service was excellent. Looking forward to returning and recommending to others. read more

Amazing dinner in La Paz! Probably the best we've had in Baja! I had the Beet Salad and Mushroom Strudel and my husband had the Summer Rolls and the Vietnamese Pho all of which was outstanding! Service was terrific and prices were very reasonable. Definitely highly recommend! read more

When we arrived we were offered a table to seat 3 in the small area compared to the open area and we were told this was the only area a available to us. Then when the table next to us wanted to move they were moved to the open area that wasn't available to us. We ordered one appetizer and 3 main courses. The appetizer and 2 of the main courses arrived at once. All of the waitstaff shrunk away until finally after 5 minutes one came over and told us they had made a mistake and thought the shrimp entrees should be served with the hummus appetizer. We were finished with the 2 entrees before the the 3rd was brought out. The food was very good but the service ruined the dining experience. read more

Went here under recommendation of friends. It was an anniversary dinner. What a disappointment. Service was horrible and it was not even close to having a crowd. Only one other seated table. The drinks were short pours. None of our dishes had any flavor and did I mention the service was horrible. I had the lamb which was tender, looked great but had no flavor at all. Just boring and you could not tell what kind of meat it was. My wife had fish and it was also beautiful in presentation but lacked any discernible flavor. We had a big group here for lunch after swimming with whale sharks in the bay! They sat us out back at the huge open patio space and it was absolutely perfect! The sun shown in but wasn't too sunny under the shade. The drinks were excellent and the food was so delicious! They used ice from bottled water for us too haha. The hours were a little strange from what I rememeber. I think we waited for them to open for lunch for quite some time. read more

We're pleasantly surprised to find this place via yelp. The food and service were as described by other reviewers. Particularly loved the mushroom strudel. My husband ordered the pork loin and he was pleased with it, my lamb tagine not so much. But the severs were very nice and accommodating. We had a rather large party and they were able to accommodate us and did it with 5 stars. Gilbert was very attentive to our needs and did such an excellent job. The food--oh my---where do we start. Unparalleled food and service! I am as foodie from So Cal where we expect a lot from our dining establishments, NIM did not disappoint in any way. Shrimp ceviche appetizer was divine (recommended by the waiter) as was the mole with roasted chicken, the simply grilled local yellowtail and there mushroom strudel wrapped in phyllo dough. Margaritas were very good and the restaurant offers a Ca Pinot Noir that was great and a good IPA. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and utterly pleasant. We had 3 appetizers, 2 main courses, a beautiful crips romaine salad and desert: 90USD. Very lovely outdoor dining area with tables separated safely during Covid. Really and truly a beautiful and wonderfully tasty experience. LOVED IT! read more

Our last night in La Paz and my son wanted us to have a nice dinner so we went to Nim. Nice, upscale restaurant in walking distance from our hotel. Ordered wine and got it served. We had a wide variety of dishes ordered and everything was delicious. Oysters and seafood dishes were especially good. Fine dining and great food. I would recommend Nim to anyone who wants a fine dining experience in La Paz. read more

The chef loves international food so he developed a la Paz interpretation of these international cuisine. I was a bit hesitant at first but it was surprisingly good! The Vietnamese spring rolls were yummy! The pho soup doesn't have the authentic pho taste but it's still very good soup! I totally understand since they don't have the ingredients easily available, but they made it work. The tuna sellado, salads, tagine lamb were also good. read more

Have to say that I wasn't impressed. Although the staff was really nice and friendly, the service was extremely slow, our food took 40 minutes, the salad had iceberg lettuce, we ordered a bottle of wine and were brought the wrong one, I ordered a martini which was not served to the rim of the martini glass. Maybe they were having a bad day but my only nice meal while in La Paz was there and I have to say it wasn't very good. read more

I come to La Paz on average twice a year for about a week each time. I have been to this restaurant several times and I have always enjoyed the outside the box thinking and approach to their menu. I will give this restaurant 4 stars for their food, location and the atmosphere of the restaurant but lately I have been disappointed with their service. I have always enjoyed the great customer service that most Mexican restaurants of this caliber have to offer but the last two visits (this week) their customer service has been too relaxed and borderline unprofessional. read more

We came to NIM after two failed breakfast attempts at Doce Cuarenta and the Bagel shop. We were at Azul Marino which is NIMs sister restaurant and was amazingly good. Unfortunately, NIM was not good at all. We ordered the same drink that we ordered at Azul Marino, the Mojito frutas Rojas which was just muddled fresh berries and mint leaves, however at NIM is was a bunch of sugar that was undesolved, undesirable and unnecessary. The beet salad on menu said it had feta cheese on top and they brought us a salad with Gorgonzola, which we despise. We told the server that this was not feta and he agreed and said that sometimes they put Gorgonzola and that was unacceptable to us and we asked for him to take it back. Then they brought us spring rolls with shrimp which were not great. Finally we got the queso fondito with chimichurri and it had an inch layer of yellow fatty oily liquid on top and fried cheese curds on top which was so overkill. The corn tortillas were the best thing we ate and the only thing we enjoyed. Upon leaving the owner Christina asked us how it was and we told her about salad that had Gorgonzola rather than the feta, which is what the menu stated, and she said they should of taken it off but they did not and instead of correcting it or offering us to come back for dinner or anther time she was extremely rude. Because I'm in a foreign country I did not want to argue or be rude in return. $915 MX waste of pesos. I would of rather gone to Applebee's which I would never do. If you are in La Paz Azul Marino is great, Oliva al Mare and Maria California. Everywhere else save your money and go snorkeling with sea lions with Tuna Tuna Tours. read more

This place was delicious and the servers were amazing. The food was delicious and the nim lemonade was the highlight with mint, alfalfa, and a slushy lemonade. Price is good and the portions are large and had an awesome experience. Everyone should try this over las tres vírgenes. read more

Absolutely stunning restaurant setting (eat on the open-air back patio if possible), incredible service, and some of the best authentic food I have ever eaten. And a great value too--3 appetizers, 2 entrees, and several glasses of wine, all for ~$75. I might go back to La Paz just to eat at this restaurant--it is THAT good! Service was good. I didn't really appreciate the octopus as appetizer because the potatoes and especially the sauce made it abhorrent to me. I followed with the lamb tagine and that was delicious, I highly recommend it. My wife had the scallop carpaccio and then the catch of the day, both were really good and she enjoyed very much. Had some Mexican merlot to suit the tagine which was good too. Portions are big so we didn't have enough room for dessert. Overall we enjoyed our meal but if you are not very hungry just take the main course ... still a 4 stars to us.. read more

This dinner at Nim will stand out as one of the best evenings during our Christmas vacation in La Paz. You would expect such a place downtown NYC or in Francisco. I loved the setting, great modern design, we had very friendly waiters and everything looked tempting on the menu. We were not disappointed, try the chicken mole, go for the guacamole and also the scallops carpaccio/ceviche, try the molten chocolate cake too. The menu is eclectic.
