This place is awesome! I was in the mood for Indian food, so I checked my map and found Nimas Cuisine. The menu looked good, and the reviews so far were enough to get my husband and I to try it. There are two booth-type tables and four tables with four chairs each. It was plenty to feel comfortable to dine in. When we approached the counter, we discovered they had both Mexican and Indian food. We were very kindly greeted. We asked a couple of questions and then settled on the Tandoori chicken and the goat curry and some garlic naan. The gentleman at the counter, the chef, I believe, was proud to say the naan was made by hand. We knew it was a lot of food for the two of us, but we figured we could take home whatever we didn't eat there. Once we chose our table, a very kind woman brought out glasses with ice and a pitcher of ice water for our table. She also brought a small plate of chips with two salsas. It was good to hold us until our lunch came out. The goat curry with rice, a small salad, and the naan was plenty for us to share. We were told the curry is mild unless you want it spicy. I can't tolerate hot, but my husband loves it. The curry was on the verge of being too hot for me, but I managed. It was perfect for my husband. It had so much flavor that I couldn't turn it down. The chef brought out a sample of their raita for me; yogurt with cucumber and carrots. That helped me handle the heat of the curry. We had just about finished the curry when our Tandoori chicken came out sizzling on the skillet. It's all made fresh, so the chicken took a bit longer to prepare. It was delicious! The chicken was juicy and flavorful! And just like we figured, plenty to take home to have for dinner! We were checked on several times during our visit. The food and service were amazing! I was craving something healthy and tonic after feasting non-stop for the holiday season. They had Karela Sabzi which is a bitter gourd curry. This is not a common dish to find anywhere. I also ordered some basmati rice to go with it. The portion size was generous. I was able to make several meals. The curry is a semi-dry type which is not particularly saucy. Rice is perfect with it as well as naan. The amount of bitterness will vary depending on the slice of gourd that is eaten. Some were mild in taste, while others were more bitter. Overall, there was a nice balance with the soft, caramelized onions cooked with the Karela. Definitely something different to try especially here in this area. The samosas I also ordered were good as well. They were filled with potatoes and peas. The samosas came with a green chutney made with fresh chilis. It had a fair amount of heat and went well with the fried samosas. A good place to stop for an Indian meal. Mexican food is also available. read more

This place is a hidden secret not fancy inside but the food is worth the wait he makes it fresh right in front of you I love Indian food but this tops them all all the ingredients are fresh even gave me samples of some other stuff I would have never tried which I'm glad cuz I always order the same thing now I'll try other stuff the lentils were out of this world he even told me when you eat your lentils eat it with a little bit of this red onion and add salt to the red onion and dip it wow did that make it taste totally different so yummy definitely will go back! read more

I've been waiting all my life for a place like this in the high desert. The gentleman who was Indian, was so helpful in making choices and incredibly proud of his food-- and he had a reason to be! I ordered some butter chicken-which he made to order and even let me try to some in a cup to make sure it was okay spice wise (I got medium spice) . It was more than okay-- it was fantastic. I've had butter chicken from a couple places up here and it's always lacking in flavor, really buttery and the chicken is chewy and not tender. Nima's blows everyone else's butter chicken out of the water. I could tell this was authentic because you could literally taste the flavors in the sauce-- the perfect blend of turmeric, garam masala, and cumin . The chicken in it was so tender and juicy-- all cooked in a clay oven. I highly highly recommend this place if you are a fan of Indian food and even if you're not-- this place will definitely change your mind! read more

Did a quick search looking for a good Indian restaurant near where I was and Nima's popped up. The reviews were not wrong. The food was truly authentic and homemade by the owner Mr Singh. He even brought me a sample of one of the appetizers. Not big on seating but huge on flavor. They were doing a nice takeout business as well. Order the Chicken tikka masala! It's an off-menu item and is worth the visit. It's my favorite tikka masala in the high desert. Order it with garlic naan! They have a drive-thru which is so convenient, but heads up the speaker is broken so you need to pull forward and order at the drive-thru window. Wait at the drive-thru can take a bit since the food is prepared fresh, and is worth the convenience of staying in the comforts of your own car. read more

Breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious seriously the best I've ever tasted! The verde salsa was authentic. She spoke minimal English but she was very kind I only ordered egg,cheese & potatoes but she had variety for sure. Small but enough tables for you to sit. We tried the tandoori chicken, just the chicken by itself we didn't get sides since we just wanted to make quick chicken salad at home. I usually get Costco chicken or pollo loco but I wanted to try something different this time. My wife and I just moved up here from the walnut area where we had plenty of Indian restaurants to choose from. So that being said this is in the top 3 when it comes to the food. Fresh!!!! Today was my first time trying Indian food. Since I watch a lot of traveling food blogs on YouTube, India food is one of most popular. So I said heck let's give it a shot. I came here because I'm always going to the mobile gas station next to it. Let me tell you I was not disappointed at all if anything I was surprised how good the food was..The chef recommended that I get the chicken masala mild/spicy with rice and garlic naan (garlic flat bread). Which was all amazing together. I also got this drink called mango lassi which was refreshing and good.. for all the food and drink I only spent 30 bucks and walked out full. Wow! What a gem of a find on the way to/from Las Vegas. I'm from the SF Bay Area and have a TON of Indian food. I've noticed that a lot of Indian restaurants have popped up along truck routes due to the increasing number of Sikh truckers so I finally decided to try one. Like I said, I've had a lot of Indian food, but never a home cooked one, and I imagine this is what it would taste like if I went to someone's house. The chef prepared everything from scratch and you can tasted the freshness. Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food because he even chops everything fresh. It's definitely worth the wait. If you have someone in your car that doesn't like Indian food or is scared to try, there is a large Mexican menu to choose from. read more

Not usually the review writing type but I felt I needed to this time! Took my gf to get some Indian food. She's been looking for an Indian food spot for a long time. Not usually much of an Indian food eater myself but I decided to take her to this Indian/Mexican food place so that we both could get something we might enjoy. I ordered some taquitos. They were very good and freshly prepared. I ate them so fast I didn't get a chance to take a picture My gf insisted I try some of her butter chicken and let me tell you, if I didn't eat Indian food before, I sure do now! So good!!! Any other time I've had butter chicken, it's been bland and pasty in texture but not here. It's so flavorful, you can tell they take their time with the marinating process of the chicken. Then the sauce, forget about it! You can taste all the layers of flavor. The garlic Naan, did not disappoint. Perfect amount of garlic and the texture of the bread was light but dense enough to able to dip in the sauce and get a really nice bite. On top of the insanely delicious food, the owner was the best. You can tell he takes pride in his food and is just excited to share it with everyone. This place is such a great addition to the food scene here in the desert. My husband and son love eating here. They make their own dough for a pita like garlic bread. My hubby gets the carne-asada green burrito and my son loves the taquitos plate. Portions are a good size. They have so many items to choose from. The cook is friendly, greets you with a smile and gets an A+ on customer service. My family usually takes food to go, but you can eat-in, it's all very clean. Can't say more about Nima's, give them a try if you'd like some mexican food to go or just want to try some yummy Indian food. Passing through on vacay but one of us has been here in Hesperia for work many times and eaten through most of the restaurants. This new restaurant is a great find! We ordered Indian dishes only bec we're from San Diego so get lots of Mexican food, but they do have a pretty good variety of Mexican dishes -the usual burritos, enchiladas, tacos etc plus sopes. Don't know how those taste but the salsa that came with our complimentary chips was really good home style. Indian dishes: goat curry was delicious, tender, fragrant and spicy (we did ask for spicy but you can get mild or moderate); tandoori chicken saag was good, chicken was not dry like some tandoori chicken can be, good flavors and generous portions. Garlic naan, regular naan, aloo paratha all really well done. Would come again if we lived here! Zero for ambiance because they're in a gas station but I assume the savings on rent are going into quality ingredients. Just get takeout read more
