Update as I ordered the Chicken Kabob today and it was cooked perfectly! Hit all the high notes: Tender, moist, flavorful, delicious with well- seasoned basmati rice. This rice had best flavor I've had at any Mediterranean restaurant. It complemented the chicken very well. A good portion of hummus and a salad was included along with a pita. I've had several items on their menu and this just happens to be my favorite. Wait was not long at all and pleasant service. BTW, this place looks very clean. It is fairly new, and it looks like they care about cleanliness.

Eh wasn't too impressed. I've eaten Mediterranean food pretty frequently so was surprised to see an option so close. * Note I believe this is an Egyptian style tea not Greek Mediterranean food which makes a difference. First order was about $30 which They messed and I had to go back. They asked if I wanted to come in another day but this was our dinner selection so no, I don't want to save dinner for another day. The meat was not tender and very overcooked. Had consistency of ground beef on a stick. The chicken was very hard and overcooked. Paid extra for garlic sauce and hummus which usually comes for free at other establishments. 2nd order was better but still Mid. Not anything special or flavorful. Salad was not good and it's hard to mess up a salad. Flavors were just all over the place. Decor was clean and colorful. May not be back.

Too expansive for the quality and quantity.

I left two previous reviews and somehow they got Yelp to remove them. The food at Don Kabob in Apple Valley is terrible. It tastes nothing like traditional Mediterranean food. The meat is over cooked and dry and everything is way too spicy. The humus is like runny mayo. We threw the food in the trash and went to Jersey Mikes.

This place is a complete rip off $13.00 for a small sauce & 5 tiny pieces of chicken

I've had it all down the hill because i live there with my armenian husband, and I know there's only a couple options out here which are all so so. I was pretty sad to miss out on that now that I'm spending more time here, but as if it was heaven sent, this place just opened nearby! I was not expecting anything too close to what we've tried down the hill (armenian, lebanese, egyptian, persian, afghan, uzbek etc you get it). But I ordered a large order to try basically everything and it was genuinely incredible! They season the hell out of everything. I could go into so much detail. Lebneh was nice and thick not watery. Beef samosa dipped in the tahini is a must. The family tray is as beautiful as an oscar's charcuterie tray. Desserts are very decadent maybe enjoy with some tea or coffee lol. Even the french fries held up decently in the plastic container after 10-30 mins. Baba Ganouj was nice and slightly smokey. We always enjoy beef more than chicken but this place makes them nearly as delicious as one another. cucumber had a nice crunch and wasn't dull. Like I said I could go on about the details! The online pickup estimate was way too soon lol, I knew it wasn't going to take 15 minutes for all that i ordered, so I came after 25 minutes or so and it took another 10 minutes because they had an unfortunate break in that day. Yet they still showed everyone up with the quality of their food only probably hours later lol. Will definitely be a regular customer!

Tried Don Kabob for the first time. Got 3 meals. Everything was excellent. Rice is seasoned well and flavorful. Meats were tender and delicious. Definitely can't go wrong by giving this place your business. Also decided to get dessert. Don't usually care for baklava, as it's too sweet for me, but theirs was not sweet and had fresh nuts on top. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. We will be back again and again and again.... Keep up the good work!

The photo with the description is what it should look like. The other that looks like a burrito is what he got.

My husband went to The Don Kabob he's been wanting try it because he is Lebanese. He ordered the shawarma sandwich. Much to his surprise it was made with a flour tortilla. It was and looked like a burrito. Here is a pic of what he got and what it should have looked like. Needless to say he won't be going back. He makes homemade hummus at home and their hummus fell short too. Too bad...we were looking forward to this restaurant being good .

The staff is Uber friendly the food is over the top with delicious flavors, making it an experience in and of itself! If you're looking for Middle Eastern food, this is definitely on my go to list! Perfect for lunch dates or even a nice dine in experience. The only thing I could possibly bring up is that if you plan to make a dinner party they don't serve alcohol which for some that's not a thing as for myself, I would like an ice cold beer with my Middle Eastern food. I totally recommend this establishment. It is on my go to list especially for lunch!

    Sin T.

First time trying it and I must say it wasn't bad. I had gotten the lamb gyro and fries with garlic sauce. The gyro was full of meat which I appreciated but it lacked all the other fixings. The meat, veggie and sauce ratio just wasn't there. Nonetheless it was still good. Almost finished the gyro with the last few bites and that's where I discovered the veggies. So all the cucumbers, onions and sauce was on the bottom of the gyro which was kinda odd bc why wouldn't it kinda layered with the meat? The fries with their special seasoning were good and the garlic sauce was delicious. I would try it again just to see if they made it differently.

I order the chicken kabob plate. Rice, chicken and even the salad had to much salt or seasoning. The only thing I like was the hummus.

I could just have that with pita and would be very satisfied. The meats were savory and flavorful. Rice is a seasoned long grain rice which is not basmati but tastes good with the meats. We ordered the Combo Kebab plate, which is one of the most expensive entrées on the menu at around $30. Given the name and price, I expected a generous assortment of meats. Instead, the plate came with only a few small pieces of beef, a few pieces of chicken, and a single kefta skewer. The overall meat portion felt surprisingly small for a premium combo platter. More concerning, the kefta appeared undercooked, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. We also ordered the homemade yogurt drink. While I understand traditional recipes can vary, this version was overwhelmingly garlicky. My wife couldn't drink it at all, and I wasn't able to finish mine either. The ordering experience was also frustrating. I asked whether there was an appetizer sampler or mixed plate that would allow us to try a variety of items. Instead of suggesting a combination or accommodating the request, the owner repeatedly encouraged us to order multiple appetizers individually, even after I explained that it would be far too much food for us. Service was another weak point. There was no visible waitstaff available to answer questions or assist diners. Whenever we needed something, we had to walk toward the kitchen area and try to find someone ourselves. To make matters worse, the meal came with only a single piece of pita bread and no meaningful sides, which made the already modest portions feel even less satisfying. Overall, I left feeling that the food quality, portions, and service did not justify the price. While this restaurant has a high rating, I personally found the experience well below what I would expect from a good Mediterranean restaurant, especially compared to similar places elsewhere. I won't be returning.
