Tried Nimman Thai Cuisine on a whim while we were in the area, and it turned out not so bad. We ordered a mix of dishes, including their Pad Thai Hor Kai (which they list as a Top 10 in Toronto), wrapped in a fried egg with chicken and jumbo shrimp. It was enjoyable and well-balanced, with a slight creaminess from the coconut milk. It may not be the best pad thai imo, but still a good version that's worth trying. The cashew nut chicken had a nice portion and was cooked well, though it lacked the pungent aroma and the umami depth from shrimp paste that I usually expect from this dish. The deep-fried tofu came with their roasted ground peanut sauce, which was really well done and added a lot to the dish. We also tried the Yakupom, a refreshing mix of pomegranate, Yakult, and rosemary that added a light, tangy contrast to the meal. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout. The foods are delicious!!!! Presentations on point!!!! And huge portions!!! We were well fed yet still had so much food to bring home, because their portions are so generous! Great service, I believe it's a family business, very friendly staff, super patient in explaining the dishes! I hate to compare certain foods to other foods, but when it comes to Pad Thai, I can't help myself. With the absolutely superlative variations of this dish being served at Khao San Road and Pai, it's hard not to expect more from supposedly authentic Thai restaurants. This is really just a rambling way of saying the Pad Thai at Nimman is just average (at best). Even though the lunch menu was on offer, I wanted to try their Pad Thai Hor Kai ("Stir fried Thai Rice Noodle with sliced Chick­en breasts and Jumbo Tiger Shrimps, Eggs, Beansprouts, Red Onions, Sour Turnip, Crab Oil, Coconut Milk and Nimman's Tamarind sauce. Wrapped with fried Egg") since it's what they're known for. And indeed, when it arrived, it sure looked quite appetizing, especially given that it was wrapped in a fried egg. One bite told me that looks can be deceiving, though. It's fine. This is the kind of middle-of-the-road Pad Thai you can get at any number of Thai eateries around the city. The components were all perfectly competent in their preparation, but in terms of flavor, this thing was actually quite bland. I had asked for it spicy twice, and there was barely a hint of heat contained within. I can't see myself ever ordering the Pad Thai from Nimman again, but I would return to try some of their other offerings. read more

I went to Nimman Thai Cuisine for some takeout. Nimman Thai Cuisine is a new restaurant located on Eglinton St west of Bathurst St. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and patient. The food came very quickly and I did not have to wait long. I ordered the Ginger Beef and Chicken Pai Thai which are standard dishes. The Chicken Pai Thai was pretty good. Unfortunately, the Ginger Beef dish was a gooey mess that wasn't very tasty. Would I go back? Probably as there isn't that many Thai restaurants in that area. read more

The food is ridiculously overpriced and they don't even include rice with a $16 veggie tofu dish that had 4 total pieces of tofu and a measly portion of vegetables. Tasted ok but I stopped eating when I noticed a sharp object in my mouth. I assumed it to be a piece of steel wool or something - definitely didn't belong in the food. I reached out, twice, to the restaurant and have been ignored. I would advise staying far away from this place. Check out Thai Lime or Thai Home instead! read more

I used to went to Lakeshore location but apparently we found out this location is much closer to our house! We went for late dinner (around 9pm) so the restaurant was quiet and staff was nice and friendly. We got our regular favourite - Green Curry and Red Curry, chicken satay (appetizer) and of course Mango Sticky Rive for dessert. I'd say my bf and I prefer the Red Curry a little more because it has more flavour, not too spicy. Mango Sticky Rice is literally the besttt I cannot even describe the taste Very good price with the quality level. Just a small note the AC was probably a little too high last night. Although sometimes the food is edible, it isn't worth the hassle as almost every time I order from there they get my order wrong or just don't show up at all!! I never wrote bad reviews but I've tried three times and only gotten my food twice and both of those times it was cold. Was looking for a Thai place uptown and found this location. Loved the red curry and cashew chicken. I ordered one in mild spice level and the other in hot, and preferred the hot version. The mild one didn't feel spicy AT ALL, but the flavours were still great. One con is that the chicken felt slightly less hot when served for the cashew chicken, but overall nice experience and great service! The girl that served us was very sweet. The food here is really delicious. All the dishes are tasty and complex, very nice presentation. One of the best Thai food in Toronto, above overall average. Service is attentive and servers always smile. Weekend is busy, they have line-up for one moment. Servers told us they cook everything from fresh in the house, then it's worth to wait for the food. Lived in Downtown Toronto for 20 years and this has become out favourite Thai place now and we've tried a lot!!!

This is a new restaurant, very bright, attractive and clean. The service is friendly and the curry with shrimp we ordered was delicious. We started with satay beef with a tasty peanut sauce which was also very good. I understand that they make everything fresh on the spot. This may explain why the food was extremely slow in coming. They were doing a lot of take out business but other than that there were only a couple of tables when we arrived. It filled up a bit more a little later. But I can't imagine how long the food might take with a full restaurant. That said, the food was so good that we will go back to see if the kitchen can get its act together. read more

Honestly some of the worst Thai food I've ever had in my life. I am very experienced with Thai cuisine and I'm not even sure what type of food you would call this place. I ordered the "Garlic Chicken" which is what the waitress recommended. It truly tasted like a dirty sweaty foot that had been doused in garlic sauce and heavily sprinkled with pepper. I couldn't even eat it and we sent it back right away. The service was horribly slow as well! They brought us our appetizers as we were asking for the bill. They then tried to charge me for the chicken that I took one bite of. Finally they removed the dish from the bill after some discussion with the waitress. I don't recommend ordering for delivery. Took over 1.5 hrs even though I live 5 minutes away. Called after an hour and was told it was on its way. Waited another 25 minutes and called again, and was told again that its on its way. When I pushed them for a real answer as to why its so late I was told that the online order was initially not given to the kitchen staff and then the driver delivered it to the wrong address and then brought it back to the restaurant. I asked if they remade the food or if it was the same food that been in transit for all this time. They said its the same food and that its probably still hot. Nothing offered to make up for the mistake, like a discount on future orders, just an awkward "sorry". Won't order take out from here again. read more

This is the best Thai restaurant in Toronto. No question. Their signature Pad Thai is outstanding along with their Green Curry. We've been ordering from them for the last couple years and their food is consistently excellent, fresh and customer service is outstanding. Further, last Saturday I had accidentally ordered from their other location (Lake Shore). When I came to pick up and realized my mistake the owner insisted that he make my order on the spot so that I have a fresh meal and not be inconvenienced. My vegetarian glass noodle dish was amazingly tasty. Price very reasonable. Other dish was shrimp glass noodle - lots of vegetables and shrimp. Prices were very good. I will definitely return. I was excited to see this place pop up as it is one of the few type places in the area I have ordered here three times and each time it's been a disappointment I ordered the massaman curry and it came out as a pale yellow colour the curry rather than a deep rich dark yellow. Went last night with friends and sat in table # 2 at the front of the restaurant. According to Ling, our server this location has been open 8 months. The appetizers were very good. All the sauces for the appetizers contain MSG. It is cheaper to add MSG than actual spice. We asked for sweet plum sauce but they did not have any. We ordered the Ginger Salmon which is Crispy Salmon fillet stir fried with shredded Ginger, Fungus, Green Onions, Sweet Peppers, Carrots and White Onions. The salmon morsels were overcooked and dried out. Reminds me of dried beef jerky. We also ordered the Deep Fried Tamarind Fish. They were out of Red Snapper and substituted Sea Bream. Deep Fried De-Boned whole Red Snapper showered with Ginger, Vegetables and Tamarind sauce. Sprinkled with fried Red Shallot. Again they overcooked the fish. The breaded morsels were chewy and tough to eat. The $11.00 glass of Loron Bourgogne Chardonnay was not cold enough. Also, it did not taste like a Chardonnay. More like white wine. Next time we will ask them to open the wine bottle in front of us and pour the wine. Wine, tip and tax for 3 main courses came to $162.35 read more
