UPDATE. My first laser session was very successful! Most of hair started to fall out in about 2 weeks. I did a Brazilian laser and I'm so happy with the results. I would say I need about 1 or 2 more sessions for all of it to be completely gone. I'm so impressed how much fell out on the first sessions giving that I do have coarse hair. I decided to come to Nina's for Brazilian since it has great reviews on yelp and it's near where I was staying at. I The fact that Estella uses hard wax made me chose coming here over the other salons in the neighborhood. I am pretty disappointed with my experience though. I made an appointment without much problem. Estella was ready for me when I got there. I also learned that she didn't really speak English, which was fine by me since I was there for a wax job not for someone too chat with. The place was also not the fanciest salon, but all was going fine. Then everything just went downhills from there. Yes, she uses hard wax, but somehow this was unlike all of my previous experiences at other salons. It was quite painful. The wax was quite hot too... I felt that she was having problem as she had to wax the same area over and over again. I felt like she was peeling away my skin at the same time. I can endure the pain, but the biggest problem I had was that she double/triple/quadruple dips. In fact I am pretty sure she used the same stick on me the whole time. Not very sanitary at all. She did get rid of the unwanted hair; however, the experience was not very pleasant at all. Very unlikely that I will return, especially for $40! As for parking, there's a parking lot behind the salon. read more

I was a loyal customer for 3 years . I always called in to schedule an appointment. Until the day Stella was having a bad day and was rude to the employees and my appointment delayed by an hour. She doing a customers hair. I over heard the customer say " thanks for giving me the 2 o'clock appointment. That was my appointment given to other lady and I had to wait! I have been coming to Estella for 2 + years and I have always had a great experience. Price is great. She uses hard wax from Argentina (not just any hard wax). She has 2 wax rooms. Salon is remodeled and always clean. When she is waxing she uses gloves and there is table paper underneath you. Highly recommend her !!! read more

Okay, I went back for a hair cut here after my kid was born and I had super long hair all the way to my lower back and it was a hug mistake cutting it here because it almost seemed like I put my hair under a lawn mower! Omg I was crying when I got home! It was wayyyy too short and it had no shape or form! When I went to my original hair stylist she was so lost she didn't even know where to start! It was up to my shoulders and a huge disaster! Besides that! I made the mistake of not doing my research on how you're suppose to be waxed. She did it wrong and when i found out how she's suppose to keep it sanitized, I felt like I went w someone who would rather save a few cents than someone who actually cared about being clean, she used the same stick on me to apply wax until she couldn't anymore, which means she was double dipping and who knew what nasty things were in there! Anyways hope this helps and I won't be returning here, it seems like she's got too much on her plate to handle. read more

Estella is wonderful! I've been getting my facials with Estella about 6 months. I would strongly recommend her facials. I love her facials every time my face looks radiant and younger. I had some age spots and her treatments have really help my brown spot disappear.
