We got the Vegetarian Duck Pad Thai, and Chicken Drunken Noodles (Medium Spicy). The Pad Thai was okay, a little on the sweet side and not really flavorful. I don't normally like spicy dishes, but the Drunken Noodles was good. However, the food size was disproportionate when comparing the dishes: the Drunken Noodles had less meat and less food overall. This was our first time ever trying Thai food and it definitely left a great first impression. The food was amazingly fresh and tasty. Our host was constantly coming over to refill our water and ask if everything was okay! (We love this!) Inside the restaurant is very clean and definitely sets the tone for the food you are about to be served. We weren't waiting very long for our food and everything came out perfect! The food we ordered as an appetizer were the party dumplings. Our entree's were the mango salmon served with white rice. For dessert we ordered the mango sticky rice and the crème brûlée. The crab fried rice is absolutely worth the price. It's fresh and they pop in some jumbo shrimp, which was a nice surprise. The rice has a slightly sweet taste and overall the dish is one of my favorites and go to meals. The ladies are always nice. We usually do take out and ate in once. I love Thai and despite living in the area for nearly 8 years I have never visited Thai Terrace. So when my cousin wanted Thai for her birthday and expressed that Thai terrace was her favorite spot, I was so excited to finally get to try it. As usual I had to get the Thai iced tea because it's my favorite. I have never had a Thai place NOT make a great Thai tea, so I expected that to be great, and of course it was. Our table got several appetizers to share. We had the Thai puff pastry, which is described as a baked puff pastry stuffed with ground chicken, potatoes, with a flavorful seasoning and curry powder, served with cucumber salad. The cucumber salad is sweet and reminded me of the type I get at Vietnamese places. The puffs were crispy and filled with a deliciously seasoned blend of chicken and potatoes and spices. We also got the Thai Shrimp Green Wrap, which is described as shrimp tossed with sweet Thai chili sauce, minced; lime, scallions, red onions and ginger. Sprinkled with roasted peanuts and lightly toasted coconut flakes. The flavor was almost like a key lime meets shrimp vibe and gave me island feels. I personally don't love cold shrimp, so it wasn't a favorite for me, but that wasn't because it wasn't done well, just personal preference. For our entrees, most of the table got some form of red curry, however I did the beef drunken noodles, my husband got the pineapple curry duck, and my mom did the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I tried all three entrees and all were delicious. Sometimes when I get duck at Thai restaurants it's very dry or very greasy. This duck had a nice balance, with only a few dry pieces. A few people in our party ordered dessert but I did not try any of it. I wanted the banana spring rolls with coconut ice cream but I decided I'd save it for my next visit. I'm definitely adding Thai Terrace to the Thai rotation. read more

Wow delicious fresh flavorful Thai food in a family setting. Generous portions served with a smile. I ordered the green shrimp wraps as an appetizer. The blend of shrimp, peanuts, toasted coconut, with a basil sauce exploded into a flavorful delight in your mouth. For an entree we got the drunken noodles which were flavorful with a kick of spice and chicken curry. For dessert we had the toasted bananas which were accompanied by coconut rice. The meals average around $20. This was a fantastic dinner and we will be back when we are in the mood for authentic Thai food. It is also a byob so bring your favorite wine accompaniment. read more

I am delighted to find a Thai restaurant located close to my new home. The service is excellent. They are clean and courteous which I appreciate during the pandemic. I do like the entrees but I find they are a little watery for my liking, i prefer a thicker based sauce. The flavor , however, is spot on. My favorite part of coming here are the many appetizers to choose from. I love the dumpling sampler and they were gracious enough to substitute the pork gyoza with chicken purses. I will gladly admit that I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Thai food. I almost always order Pad Thai. That might seem boring, but I like the dish and it's a good way to compare restaurants. Thai Terrace is one of the best I've had. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the spiciness is a little inconsistent. However, I'm willing to chalk that up to varying depending upon who's cooking on a given day. They have four levels of spiciness. I usually go with #2, medium. It's usually within my range of spice tolerance. We also order typically a lot of appetizers. They have some really good ones. The pork dumplings are delicious. The chicken satay is incredibly tender. They also have one called Thai Shrimp Green Wrap that's really unique and tasty. It consists of shrimp, peanuts, coconut, sweet chili sauce, lime, scallions, ginger and red onions in a lettuce wrap. It seems like a lot of ingredients but they all combine incredibly well. We occasionally try new local Thai restaurants as we discover them, but we always seem to wind up back at Thai Terrace. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quiet and peaceful; the owners and their staff are really friendly and the food never disappoints. read more

We initially received the lunch special menu and didn't see the papaya salad or satay chicken on there so I asked if we could still order those items. The lady that was serving us said that we could. That made all the difference! We ordered the papaya salad, satay chicken, the veggie spring rolls, the shrimp pad thai, drunken noodles and thai iced teas. Everything was amazing!! Great service! I pulled into my driveway this afternoon with a question burning in my head...go inside for an hour or check out a new lunch spot before my 2 pm appointment. As my dogs are more similar to Cinnamon, the guide dog in Step Brothers than Benji, I opted for lunch and the elimination of the anxiety that is trying to get them calm when I left again later on. I decided to try Thai Terrace, a place I had seen on Yelp! before, but had never tried. Though I have made many (and I mean MANY) questionable decisions in life, this sure wasn't one of them. Let's go straight to the review, FFS. Flair: simple, clean, upscale, and authentic are the words which come to mind. Though much of the decor is similar to other restaurants featuring Asian cuisine, Thai Terrace separates themselves from the pack by its refined look. They aren't over the top, they aren't bare bones. Like one of the chairs in Goldilocks, it's just right. I give the owners credit for being reserved and mature while managing to be completely on point. Food: Admittedly, I'm no expert on Thai cuisine. My level of comfort in discussing Thai food is like my level of comfort discussing soccer...I'm more than a casual fan, but I'm not ready to shout GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL with any sense of regularity. However, I am an expert on eating and things that taste good. This stuff tastes good. Like, super good. The green salad was, again, simple and unassuming. However, it was fresh. It was crisp. It was light. The dressing was incredible. The lemon and ginger taste was so pure and real, I could almost smell the lemongrass and ginger being chopped. I asked my waiter (who moonlights as the owner) if it was made on site. He remarked that all food is prepared fresh and the he, personally, does all of the shopping. There is no big chain food supplier. The food is authentic and healthy. The Tom Yum soup could also be called the Yum Yum soup. The broth was fantastic...spicy, tomato-y, and supported by a delicate balance of cilantro. Beautiful. The chicken tasted like it had been prepared simply for that dish. While I generally prefer soup when it's 39 and not 93, I didn't mind the temperature disparity at all. The Thai Basil completed my lunch special, and boy was it a show-stopping finale. No need for an encore for this gastronomical concert...it was like a Grateful Dead show where everything just seemed to meld into one another. Maybe it was the chili oil, who knows. I do know that the dish was pretty epic. The sauce for the main part was sweet, spicy, and touched with a perfect amount of Thai basil (which, I learned, is pretty difficult to find. There was another element to the dish I won't divulge, but if you get the owner between rush times, maybe he will share it). The shrimps were cooked perfectly. Enough sticky rice was provided to e sure I was able to clean all of the sauce off of my plate. My only knock was that the eggplant was a little over cooked...but eggplant can be tough. However, using my Step Brother analogy again, I'll say that if that spice level was a 2, I don't want to see it go to a 4. Don't think I'll have any allergy trouble until 2024. Service: it was really enjoyable sharing a few words with the owner. I appreciated him taking the time to explain the dishes and how they are created. I appreciated the honesty and hospitality. Did Thai Terrace and I become Thai food best friends? Yup. Will I be back for dinner some time soon? Yup. Just hoping I don't run in to Chris Gardocki on the way there. read more

I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this place as there are no thai places around the area. I stopped in for lunch take-out today. Don't let the plaza fool you, the restaurant is very beautifully decorated inside. I arrived just before noon to an empty restaurant and was quickly greeted. I ordered from the Lunch Special Combo which consists of a main course and salad or appetizer. I chose the Shrimp Pad Thai and a spring roll for $10.95. I added a soup, Tom Kha (coconut) for $1.95. I requested the vegetable version but was given the chicken version. The Pad Thai was quite tasty. It was seasoned well and was a nice portion for lunch. There were 4 small to medium shrimp on top (tails on-which I hate when eating non-finger food). The spring roll was typical-nothing special. I did not try the dipping sauce that came with it. The soup was flavorful and I did enjoy the mushrooms and onions, but not the tasteless chicken, which I did not order in the first place. I will try Thai Terrace again, but it is far from the best Thai I have had. read more

As vegetarians it was important to us to have choices on the menu from which we could choose. The restaurant didn't disappoint us, as practically every style of cuisine had a vegetarian choice for protein. We started with two cups of the Tom Kha soup, which was rich and flavorful. It's a staple for us at Thai restaurants, and we typically judge the menu based on how good the soup was. Out opinion was that this was the best Tom Kha soup we've had in the region. We followed that with the summer rolls, which were cut into individual bite-sized pieces and plated with a dish of delicious peanut sauce. They were very light and tasty. For entrees we shared the Drunken Noodles with mock duck and also had the Massaman Curry with tofu. Both were prepared very well and delicious. The service was attentive and helpful, and we left feel very satisfied with our meal. A bit far for us but definitely a place we would come back to for another enjoyable meal. read more
