You get what you pay for here... we've had more shirts shrunk ( dry cleaning items) and never able to give an explanation why. This was not a one time episode, but happened several times. Did a terrible job replacing a zipper and never owned up to it. So what we thought we were saving in dry cleaning and alterations, ended up costing us in repairs or replacing items all together. I used to go to the 99 cleaners on Colorado but when they closed, they gave me a 20% coupon to go to the Lake location. I gave it a try and dropped off 4 items. A wool dress, slacks, a sweater and a blouse. After my coupon I spent $13.20. What a deal! I picked them up 2 days later and I was very pleased with my clothes. They look and smell great. It's a little far from home, but I would come back because of the low prices. read more

Nothing fancy. If you want quick and cheap, then this place is for you. If you expect your shirt sleeves to come back nicely clipped and if you want service with a smile then go somewhere else. 99 is good for the location (nice parking lot with plenty of spaces and easy to get into going north or south on lake) and the price they charge. Do not go to this cleaners!!!!!!!!!! The worst dry cleaners and alterations ever.. Took my husbands TRUE RELIGION jeans to get them hemmed and they trashed them. When I asked the guy to fix them, he replied there is nothing wrong with them. I asked for my money back, he replied I can't do that!!!! Unbelievable!!!!! Update: They just tried to make me pay twice for my clothes! I always pre-pay, and they are supposed to mark that in their computer when I drop off my clothes, but they apparently didn't. The guy wouldn't believe that I already paid, so I had to drive back home (made me way late for work), dig up the receipt (thank goodness I found it), and go back. Two strikes, their out. Will never take anything to be tailored again. The lady did not do a good job. She did not use the same colored thread and the garment looks like it was sewed uneven. I was very unhappy with the job, I would of appreciated if the lady would of just said from the beginning that she couldn't fix it. read more

The staff at Ninety Nine Cleaners are friendly and helpful.. My business suits are always fresh and clean, but more importantly pressed really well, which makes all the difference. When a last minute work appointment came up, Ninety Nine came to the rescue by offering same-day service for a very small extra fee. When I arrived later that afternoon, the guy at the counter even walked the suits to my car, to save me time! Now that's service!!! read more

this is by far the most inexpensive drycleaners i have found in pasadena. not only are the prices great, but the quality of the work done is good too. i bring all of my drycleaning here and they have yet to miss a stain or spot on any of my garments. they also do great tailoring work as well. it's nothing fancy, but it is inexpensive and quality work. read more

I would not take my dogs blanket to this place. They shrank my shirt and then tried to starch the hell out of it... I guess they thought it would stretch out! When confronted, about the poor work, the owner becomes confrontational and calls my wife names... and proceeds to try to get in a fight with me... talk about Ghetto. They don't even deserve the one star... but there is no lower rating. read more

Worst cleaners ever! Took some shoes to see if they could get the yellowing out of the white. These shoes were bran new just sat in the box for months, when I got them back they were not cleaned and they were ripped. Like wtf!! The owner said he would not fix our take care of it. This is the WORST cleaners I have ever been too. PLEASE DON'T GO HERE. They are super cheap, but there is a reason why. I took a light grey dress shirt to them and when I took this shirt to them I specifically asked the guy working there whether or not it should be dry cleaned or laundered. He told me it should be laundered. The first time I laundered the shirt, it was fine. The second time laundered the shirt, the grey shirt came back pink!!!! Then when I showed them what had happened, the manager told me "well you shouldn't have laundered it," and proceeded to argue with me about whose fault it was. There are 3 main reasons why this bothers me: 1) Before this happened I consistently went this dry cleaners for about 2 months and they treated me like crap. Thus, they don't even value a loyal customer. 2) This is completely their fault and instead of at least telling me that they were sorry, the manager immediately started to try and blame me (the customer). 3) If you paid for dry cleaning, do you want to run the risk that your shirt will come back a different color? I have never heard of this happening to anyone! When brought the shirt in, it didn't have a single stain or anything on it. read more

99 cleaners? How about 99 reasons to stay away instead. I dropped off two blankets to be cleaned. They were not down or silk just two plain cotton blankets to be cleaned. No blood or other bodily fluids of any kind, they just needed a cleaning because my machine was not large enough. I went to pick them up when they said they would be ready. I gave them the ticket and the lady says they lost them...what?!? Before she could answer I saw them folded and ready for pick up. I pointed to them and she gave an embarrassed chuckle. Then she rang up the total which was........$90 dollars!!!! No you are not reading that wrong, $90 dollars!!! I couldn't believe it. I was aghast! I said why wasn't I told how much it would be when I dropped them off? And there's the rub, silly me I saw 99 and immediately thought 99cents. Not that I thought it would be $2.00 for the two. At the most $30 but $90!!!Come on! After much haggling with whom I can only assume is the owner I got back my 2 blankets for 75$. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN! read more

I have taken mens cotton work shirts here to be cleaned and pressed and the shirts have always come back cleaner than my machine can get them and they hand press the shirts, no giant press machine. They do a very nice job. I am close to 100 wash and presses at 99. They also cleaned my 100% lined cotton dress with a billion pleats to be ironed for $8, $8 to hand iron that monster dress was a bargain. I cannot comment on their dry cleaning services. I also like the people behind the counter. Are they super friendly and perky? No. Go to In and Out for perk. Are they fast, efficient and polite, yes. read more

I consider myself a some what stylish young man and with a Vegas trip coming up it was time to wear one of my favorite purple blazers. The last time I went to Vegas I made the huge mistake of wearing a nice Gucci blazer that eventually got covered in smoke (damn you Vegas for letting people smoke in clubs) and alcohol (damn you drunk people who can't hold onto their expensive drinks) so this time around I decided to wear a cheap topman blazer that I picked up to wear around town. The biggest issue was that I was missing two buttons (the topman quality is non existent) so the day after Christmas I drove down to 99 cleaners and asked if he would be so kind as to sew on two new buttons, dry clean and press this blazer. To my surprise he said he could have it done the next day and my grand total was a whopping 9 dollars!!! He wanted 3 dollars to clean a mens dress shirt that didn't have any stains or dirt or anything that required extra work. Just a good ole mens dress shirt.
