Okay so I am going to start with the good...super fun setup with the revolving sushi conveyor belt that brings a variety of choices right by your table. They had a sign that had a name and brief description of each item. Then, behind it would be about three plates. If that description sounds like an item you would like, you just grab the plate off of the belt. The plates are color-coded by price so you know how much you're spending per plate. This concept would be great if you have not tried a lot of sushi and you want to try different things/ options/ combinations. More on the not so positive side... I would say the rolls are average size to smaller than most places I have been... and I do not think that they're as flavorful. On that note, we did not pick any roles that we did not like. We tried all different kinds of things and then ordered from the kiosk at the table and a cool delivery train brings it by the table on a different top track. So Fun!! Our favorite thing we got were the Sesame balls & the tiny crème brûlée at the end. I liked the tropical shrimp one (had mango) and would have gotten a second round but they never had anymore on the belt and I couldn't find it on the kiosk tablet on the table. I really wanted to like this place, but it was disappointing from the moment we walked in. ‍ Only 2 servers were working, and they were running nonstop. They worked incredibly hard and weren't the problem. Management set them up to fail. The restaurant had a strong sewage smell, which made it hard to enjoy the meal. The sushi was very bland and honestly tasted like almost nothing. The plate intake machine wasn't working, only half the restaurant was open, and everything felt disorganized. They really need a digital waitlist system and, most importantly, more staff. I feel bad for the employees because they were doing their best. I hope management gives them the support they deserve. read more

Update 6/20/26: Went to try the revolving sushi format. It was decent. Didn't have some of the old favorites and the quality just didn't seem the same. The kitchen is still learning, and put the wrong plate on our little train-so watch for that...we got an orange plate from the train and I alerted the server since we had already been charged for it on our table bill. Service was good-but the place was completely empty on a Saturday night. I hope this doesn't close them down. I will say the aesthetics are definitely nicer. It's cleaner and the upgrades look good. Well, they took a good thing and ruined it. No longer a buffet. You pay by the plate. The food isn't as good and it costs more. I started going here after the last sushi buffet restaurant I frequented decided to do the same thing and shortly after closed down. I wouldn't be surprised if this restaurant goes the same way. Probably the most inexpensive option in the area if you're feeling like sushi but don't want to spend sushi money. They have a pretty solid variety as well as hot items. They changed the layout of the restaurant. My kids were in tears seeing g that the chocolate fountain was gone. You have to pick plates off a conveyor belt and you pay by the plate. Ninja sushi is my favorite buffet to go to, i've been going since before they moved locations, and even now after moving locations they still have amazing food especially for the price and service. I was reading through some of the latest reviews and I've seen one common theme, which I'll mention later. But some of the other reviews, I have no idea what people are seeing. Since moving to the area, I wanted to find an all you can eat sushi joint. With a quick Google search, I stumbled across Ninja Sushi fifteen minutes away. Here's how my experience went. At first glance during the day, I thought I was going to find a business that was closed based on the outside. Once I stepped inside, I was pleased to find a super organized and clean establishment. I was greeted right away. The staff was always busy working. The sushi selection had a large variety of options. Sure, I ran into some that were empty but right after the first round, I came back to find more. I will write that I've had sushi from all over the country, including Japan and it wasn't bad at all. Most places get the rice wrong by either cooking it too long or too little but that wasn't the case. The hot buffet is where I ran into an inconsistency. The food had all three temperatures. Some hot, warm, and one or two cold. The udon noodles were a bit crunchy and I should have waited as items were being replaced as soon as I sat down. You redeemed yourself because I was able to go back and get some of the new, out of kitchen items. Staff was friendly and they always stayed on top of the refills. Oh, they have a chocolate fountain for dessert! Didn't rush me to stop eating or push me out, that's good because I'm still here writing this review from the table. I'll give the camera a wave. My soy sauce bottle had an unknown substance sunken in the bottle. The bottle did not have a label.. When asked to speak to a manager, only the employee _____ came to my table. I showed him the substance sunken in the bottle because I was concerned it was tampered with. He took the bottle then went in the back to pour the contents in a black bowl. When I took a white napkin to swirl around the bowl to pick up the contents it was not in there. I then poured the contents into my white plate, and still nothing. He said it dissolved when the bottle was swirled around. It's been sitting in this bottle and it was clumps of something, so I'm not satisfied with this answer. I never spoke to a manager. Only received an email address for customer care : NinjaRoyal.clientcare@gmail.com. I said I'm not accusing the staff of tampering with the bottle, the soy sauce has a unknown substance inside. I said I was concerned of getting sick. I asked will my meal be comped. He said he would ask his manager. Then came back to say, only my drink could be comped. I said no problem. This is a good way to try different types of rolls to figure out what you like and don't like. Food: No complaints. Tornado Roll and Miso soup. Nothing spectacular, but reasonable prices and polite staff. Atmosphere: just a step above terrible. Here's why: -urine was all over the bathroom floor by the urinal (several cups worth) and it was getting sticky, which suggests it had been there a while. It was so bad it was frankly hard to stand as my feel were sliding while using the facility. -the temp was cool enough in 90° heat, but it was humid and clammy -the menus my friend and I had were gross - also very sticky. Delivery, I did not go to the restaurant. I got the hibachi steak bento box and Philadelphia roll for me and my friend. I don't necessarily love the Philadelphia roll but I've only tried it with no sauce. The steak Bento is really tasty, comes with sushi rolls, dumplings, eggrolls, some salad, a lot of wasabi(I hate wasabi), sushi ginger, soup and white rice. It's a nice variety. So far so good. Substantial improvement from the last time I reviewed Ninja Sushi. They brought back Philadelphia Rolls, have skewered Hibachi chicken in the evenings, and have started this new thing where at lunch you get 10 pieces nigiri added to your buffet free of charge, and 25 pieces (!!!) at the dinner buffet. If you don't know, nigiri sushi and sashimi is usually an extra charge and runs at least $3 for two pieces everywhere you go. So this has been huge the last two months I've been partaking in the new special. The catch is if you don't finish your nigiri, they charge you for the ones you didn't eat. My faves are the yellowtail, salmon roe, smoked salmon, squid, and tuna. Staff is better about attending guests as well. I don't get rushed like I used to, and because of nigiri plates being passed out individually they usually handle tables more timely. Much appreciated. My only gripe is that facilities have taken a beating. This seems to be a common practice with Ninja Sushi because the last Arlington location had major plumbing problems that went unfixed, and the Hulen location isn't much better. There was a buy one get one free Hibachi steak bento box on Uber Eats so my family decided to give it a try. The food arrived hot and smelled amazing, I was so excited. I tried the egg roll first, it's really more like a spring roll but it was awesome. I tried the miso soup- also awesome, then the fried rice- really awesome flavor but slightly mushy/overcooked, but overall still good. The gyoza was decent. But then I tried the steak, things went downhill from here. I'm not sure if they marinate it in something that's fermented, I really hope that is the case, because if not, the steak had to have been expired. I tried more pieces to see if I could pinpoint what exactly I was tasting, but it was just overpoweringly rancid. I tried to go back and eat other items I had before the steak, but I could not get the taste out of my mouth, everything then tasted like spoiled meat. I ended up not eating anything further, I couldn't stomach it. I've never had a hibachi steak taste like this before, and I'm a big foodie- especially Asian food. I'm speculating, but it seems like it might be buy one get one free because the steak is old and they probably should have thrown out already. Super disappointed and still hungry. Currently eating a poptart instead. Uber won't give me a refund or credit, says it's not eligible. Sigh. I'll still rate it a 2 since everything else was pretty good before I ate the steak. The platters were covered in leftover sushi rolls that should have been put in the trash. I am concerned at the food safety being practiced at this restaurant and will not be returning to avoid having food poisoning again. Went to this place this week and wasn't super impressed but no totally disappointed. The location was clean and the service was good (nice guy was our table service). Sushi selection was alright a lot of rolls with jalapeños which left me out. The pickled cabbage was good and the tempura veggies were good. I ate well and left satisfied. Only criticism I have is that masks were not required and ppl walked in without them on and went to the buffet without them on they didn't swap out the grabbers with clean ones and everyone used the same ones over and over. read more

Stopped in for dinner with a couple co workers. A very chill environment and we could come and go as we needed. They sat us immediately and we could get right to stuffing ourselves silly with sushi and grill. On one side of the buffet is a variety of rolls. Many of which have a california roll base with some kind of topping. Many of them had tempura shrimp inside, which isn't my thing, but they were flying off the buffet trays. On the other side of the buffet was the hot bar. Some more tempura options along with hibachi offerings (with the giant plume of flame included) and a couple different soup options. Considering the cost, the quality of food was really nice.
