We have been coming to this restaurant for 15 years. I two large orders of rice every two weeks. This morning when I ordered it there was a glitch and when the confirmation text came through it said noodles and not rice. I ordered it at 1:42 I called at 1:44 to tell them it was supposed to be rice and not . They are the exact same price. She said not a problem. It said it would be 20 to 25 minutes to be ready so I started to drive to the restaurant. Halfway there they called me back and said that they could not change it because it was already cooked when I called. There's no way noodles cooked in two minutes. And even if they did which is impossible they would be cold sitting there for 20 to 25 minutes. This is the second time this has happened with a new girl that is working at the front . Two weeks ago I walked in to do a pick up order for and she told me they were not doing any to go orders. I went to my car I ordered it online and I walked back in and picked it up. She was very rude not compassionate at all. We cannot eat noodles in our family so there was $26 to waste after I do this and give them a lot of business. This makes me very sad that the customer service has gone down to this. I asked for some Yum Yum sauce and I had to pay for two little tiny containers because it was extra when you dine in you get all the Yum Yum sauce that you want all I wanted was tiny to go with my rice. Walking in to Nagoya was instant calming and relaxing. Service was prompt. On this, our first visit, my husband and I shared their Homemoon Roll as a starter. Then, we each thoroughly enjoyed their Salmon Bento, which had two pieces of crab, avocado, and jalapeño roll, tempura veggies, rice and grilled salmon over bed of grated cabbage. Haven't been here in awhile so it was nice to be back. Tried to go to the "other hibachi grill place" down Cooper and it was over an hour wait. Got right in with a party of 2 (only way to go. Any more people make a reservation). Food was outstanding. Show is always fun. I'm glad the quality is still great and the people are nice. This place is awesome .. we went here for another Bday lunch for Lu .. there was four of us and we came just for the Hibachi grill ! We sat down immediately which was cool. There was a small salad and soup served before the show started. Between the four of use there was filet mignon, chicken, shrimp and scallions. So we were on our way to sign some important documents and we found this restaurant. You can sense the core of oh classic, Japan. And it's beauty. The lunch specials were everywhere and they do not appoint. As you can get everything from habachie. Vento box or sushi and some specialized roles. My wife and I decided to try the steak havachi. And I had some salmon sushi while she had a specialized roll. The service is quick and fast and if you were in a mood for hibachi with the chef cooking in front of you. That was available at the early hours before noon. The food was plentiful and tasted fantastic and not to mention that even the restaurant manager greeted us and asked how everything was going. The salad - you are given no choice on which dressing comes on it. (The salad comes with a dressing on it already, and I was not a fan. Sweet tasting) My company ordered steak and shrimp combo dinner I, the chicken and shrimp combo dinner My shrimp was season-less, the only taste being that of the char from the grill. The chicken, which may have been on the "cooler" part of the grill while everything else cooked, was cooking the full time of everyone else's meat being cooked. The result- dry chicken. The flavor was only from the sauce, in my opinion. Veggies are your classic ones- carrot, mushroom, onion, etc. The fried rice, I believe, is a $3.50 up-charge. The meal comes with steamed rice. I may be incorrect- but check the menu. I could've sworn. Either way, everyone there ordered fried rice. The rice comes served in a bowl. The cook scoops it into the bowl and then turns the bowl upside down on your plate. You get the complimentary 2 shrimp, per usual. Choice between two sauces. I chose 2 yum yum. First thing, the greeter/ maître d' was not friendly and made us feel unwelcome she seemed distracted and ignored us. Next the sushI. The power roll and volcano roll my wife (she is from Japan) ordered had so much sauce on them that they didn't even taste like sushi, and it tasted strange. Of course she left most of it behind. That night, her stomach hurt and she had to run to the bathroom several times. The only reason we gave two stars was because the beef teriyaki that I ordered was pretty good. We mentioned to the hostess, the waitress each twice it was for my daughter's birthday & they never did the birthday song until we had to remind them after 5x's. Oh, & oil splashed in my eye but I kept my cool because I didn't want to make it about me, the chef just laughed it off. We had been patient & kind, no attitude or demanding demeanor so I was upset at that point because they just didn't give a shit. As someone who grew up in Arlington I still come here with my family to have hibachi. We can this year the Saturday before Father's Day. It was a pretty miserable experience. My family took up one hibachi table but my wife and I sat on the end and they had us crammed in next to other people who were on the other side. Just wasn't pleasant but ok. It's hibachi after all. I looked over the menu and honestly I thought their prices were ridiculous. My wife got grilled chicken hibachi. That's it. Nothing else. No sushi, no appetizers or anything. Just for her it was $60. It's not that we can't afford it but it's just not worth it. I'm glad I chose not eat. Just over priced and the service was "meh" . Again I get it's it's hibachi....you get a little show with the cook (who was very friendly and funny) but the experience is not worth $69 for ONE person. We went to Nagoya for my Mom's birthday celebration. Our reservation was at 6:30. We were sat right away. The hostess was very nice and sat parties quickly. There wasn't a wait, but the restaurant was busy. We had our own hibachi table to ourselves (8 people). We had 3 kids with us that are very picky eaters. To our surprise, they loved the fried rice and chicken. We were so happy!! The soup and salad that came with the hibachi dinner was a very nice addition to the meal. We had to wait. A while (20 mins) for a chef to become available to cook our food. Our server notified us that they only had 3 chef's. I can't imagine how it's easy to find checks that can cook hibachi. We ordered some sushi while we waited. The sushi was great. Fresh, simple and beautifully plated. The chef arrived. He was very good. Funny, skilled and super friendly. We had chicken, beef and shrimp hibachi. All cooked perfectly. Portions were large. Good food, good company and a good show. What more could we ask for? We would definitely return. read more

I don't know where to start. I seen a bunch of false advertising about how "GREAT" this food was. I always missed until today and I wish today I would have missed it. The food was unseasoned. I was forced to ask for the container of ginger to pour on my food to give it taste. Decided to go on the limb and get sushi, ordered the shrimp roll, it only had two pieces of cooked shrimp that sat outside on 2 of the 6 rolls that came with the appetizer. So for the $114 we paid, I think we deserve about $50-$60 in return for the service not provided. The hibachi aspect is cool. Our chef was super animated and interacted with our group a lot which was fun. Food was SUPER YUM. Would have been $20-25 per meal without the coupon which is pricey but i think if you're looking for something fancy plus the experience its worth it. I was pleasantly surprised because the reviews weren't too great for this place but overall the food was good and filling. We orders the ceviche (has tuna, shrimp, salmon, seaweed salad, and topped with roe) and that was probably one of the best I've ever had. The flavor/marinate was citrus-sy and refreshing. The salmon teriyaki is great lunch deal. Great portion of fried rice and fish!! The salmon was grilled perfectly and has a nice slight crisp to it (love it). After waking up from the Jehovah's Witnesses cult, I was finally free to enjoy the simple things in life, such as birthdays. Nearing 50, my wife decided to make reservations in Nagoya. Because of COVID, this restaurant seemed like a restaurant where you could play it safer than others. We had a blast! I've been to other Japanese Grill places, and none impressed me.
