Just happened to drive by this place and I am overjoyed that I did! I was not planning on posting a review or else I would have taken a photo of my food before I destroyed it! I ordered the lunch special beef fried rice with miso soup. I got it to go and the soup stayed super hot until I finished it. I have eaten a lot of miso soup in my life and this soup was hands down the best I've ever had! Moving on to my rice....sooooo flavorful and the beef was tender! It did not need the yum yum sauce but that was also good! I only live about 6 min from this place so I'll be back just giving them all my money lol! Really good food when you actually get what you order. They have three separate items on the menu, all called Tonkotsu. Two are ramen, one is a breaded porkchop, zero have item descriptions. The first time, I thought I was ordering ramen, and I got a porkchop. The second time, I called ahead and looked online to be positive of the item description. The Tonkotsu ramen was supposed to come with a soft boiled egg (soft yolk), was pictured online with a soft boiled egg (soft yolk), I specified in my order notes that I wanted runny yolk just to err on the side of caution, and sure enough - the damn thing was hard boiled. I called the restaurant after I got the order and asked what happened, and THEN they told me they don't make the eggs to order. Would have been good to know!! I had to throw out their crappy overcooked egg and let my food get cold while I went and made myself an actual softboiled egg. This sucked double because in the time it took me to leave the room, go to the kitchen, and fix this restaurant's mistake - not only did my food get cold, but another person in my home changed the channel on the TV to put on some stupid baseball game. Double whammy, and there goes any hope of having a nice meal. The Tonkotsu broth was rich, creamy, and delicious, so no complaints there. The sushi is also extremely fresh. I ordered Little Tokyo at 6:50 today for delivery. The order said it would take 40 minutes which I was fine with. 7:30 comes around and I receive a email saying its on the way. That is alright I think to myself they're probably busy. When 8:00 comes around and still no food, I call the restaurant. A lady answers and tells me it should be on the way and it wont be cold. I say okay thank you. At 8:10 I receive my food and it is about what you would expect from food that has been sitting out for 40 minutes after its been cooked. Barely holding onto any heat that it might actually have left in the paper bags they use to hold the food. I call to get the issue resolved but this time no answer, it rings for about two minutes and then suddenly the call drops. I call back, all of a sudden, my calls will not go through not even a ring. I call multiple times, same result. I even called other people to see if it was my phone service that was down, it wasn't. SO after paying for the "service and delivery fee" for the convenience of having it delivered and saying something about it. Ive ordered here many times food is great when its fresh. This is the only issue I have personally ever had with them. But after this I will not be ordering again read more

Their sushi is nice and fresh. Clear soup tastes as good as a hibachi place. I love the vibe of this place. Very comfy with some Japanese pop and jazz playing. And the price is right. Lunch specials are easy on the wallet. read more

We came here after receiving a take out menu at our home - paper delivery still works!! We ordered a few different sushi rolls as well as chicken katsu. The katsu was great, wasn't fussed about the special sauce. We had a classic roll as well as specialty roll both were great. We also had the volcano roll which we didn't realise was served hot, if we'd known we probably wouldn't have ordered it, the description doesn't clearly state it apart from the word 'baked', would have been nice if our server informed us. It was odd to have a hot sushi roll, it was soupy and didn't compliment our other rolls. It's BYOB, which we weren't aware but there is a liquor store right next door. It's a small location with only about eight tables or so. Enjoyable experience, just avoid the volcano roll. read more

Straight up average to below avg. for the food but for sure overpriced for the quality. I ended up having to throw away more of the food than I wanted just because it wasn't too good. Was craving me some Japanese curry and got the curry katsu with pork. It was nice how it came with 2 pieces of meat but wished had a bit more curry to go with it. Was decent not best or worst I've had just really average. The fried octopus I'll give the benefit of the doubt that since it took me 20 min to get home the fried breading was really really hard. Only had a couple pieces and rest in the trash since it was to hard to eat. Poor quality for the sushi. Got the rainbow roll and I would tell you to go somewhere else. Decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad we did. The place was small and had cute decor. (I wanted to take the light up ball home, but I didn't) We ordered the fried calamari (which was ok. Too much batter), Shaggy Dog Roll (cute presentation and actually pretty good!), and the Alaska Roll (spicy, but delicious!) This small sushi place is tucked into a shopping strip and hidden behind a gas station. I imagine it gets overlooked all the time. That's a shame. The atmosphere is cozy, calm, and dimly lit with very comfy elevator music playing softly in the background. The service was good, the lunch special was really reasonable, the sushi was very good, and the soup was salty and not great. This was an unexpected treat. Start with the fried octopus or the Ahi Tower (we cant seem to get enough of this one). I was really wanting to love this place. We just wanted sushi since our place is closed on Sundays and this was the only place that stayed open mid day within the area we were in. First, they only sell rolls and salmon is the only option for sashimi and no nigiri offered. Second, we got pork katsu curry which was really burnt. Not good. Everything else we got was standard. The roll was fresh but cut into really big pieces, age dashi tofu was good and fried octopus was nicely fried. Inside is pretty cute. Six picnic style tables with chair sitting on cement blocks. Nothing seemed to match by somehow pulled itself together beautifully. They do delivery and take out and offer a lot of Americanized style Japanese dishes. read more

This is the only place in Arlington where you can get delicious, pretty authentic Japanese stir fry. The chicken fried rice is amazing, and the beef Yakisoba is really good. The egg drop soup is on point. The chicken skewers are also pretty good. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. The music is a little eclectic and can be slightly overwhelming for a quiet meal. I'll be coming back for the chicken fried rice, which says a lot being a former stir fry chef. When I walked in I wasn't greeted. I had to say hello twice to get a response. I tried one of their off the menu items that I heard about. It's fried crab meat. For nearly 10 dollars it was not worth it. It was simply tempura fried Imitation crab meat. There were only a few small sticks of it. I also ordered calamari. The dipping sauce that went with the calamari was tasty, however there was barely any calamari. The calamari was also very salty. I also order two rolls the shaggy dog and the shrimp tempura roll. Both rolls were good to me. Overall I spent about 36.00. I doubt that I'll come back. The customer service just wasn't there. I was excited to try a new restaurant, and I felt they were annoyed that I was there. read more

This restaurant is quite small but very cute. The decor inside is adorable and seems like a really cute causal place to have a date. It's also extremely tidy and clean! I ordered the Philadelphia roll and the chicken katsu and MAN, I was soooo full. Two chicken cutlets laid on a bed of cabbage and rice and a sushi roll filled me up so much! $10 for 2 chicken cutlets is an amazing price. Most places would only give you one cutlet for the same price. I was really surprised they gave two so I ordered sushi, but I know better now. The sushi was decently priced and was also very good. The katsu was also very good with a nice crunch and flavor. I definitely recommend coming here for some decently priced Japanese food! read more
