I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel others should know before dining here. The biggest issue was safety. A member of my family was burned in the face because the hibachi chef aggressively cleaned the grill while we were still seated, causing hot grease and debris to fly toward our table. It was completely avoidable and extremely concerning. On top of that, every single meal was absolutely drenched in an overly sweet teriyaki sauce. We've been to many hibachi/teppanyaki restaurants over the years, and we've never experienced food prepared like this. The excessive sauce completely overwhelmed the flavor of the steak, chicken, shrimp, rice, and vegetables. Most of our meals went uneaten. When we spoke with the manager, hoping she would show some concern and work toward a reasonable solution, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. Instead of listening or showing empathy after someone had been burned and our meals were inedible, she became argumentative. When we explained that the compensation offered wasn't appropriate given what had happened and the fact that we barely touched our food, she actually yelled at us and told us to "go call the cops." I've never experienced customer service like that. Mistakes can happen, but how management responds makes all the difference. Between the safety issue, the poor quality of the food, and the manager's behavior, we will never return and cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

If I could give these people a 0 star I would, I took over 20 of our staff there last month for happy hour, I also spend a lot of money with them over the last year! I decided to go there yesterday for lunch since 5 of our staff members included my boss was visiting our location here in Naples. After we finished our meal my boss had some left over food, I was telling him about the nice take out bags they have and wanted him to take his left over in one of those bags, I asked the young lady in the front if I can have one of thr bags she said those bags are for take out only, I told her I completely understand and would pay for the bag if need, she look at me and said very rudely, no, I'm not gonna give you a bag. Take the plastic bag, I explained to her that we just spent $200 with them. I'm there all the time I'm bringing people there several times a month. The bag probably costs them 25 cents from China. I'll pay for the bag, just let me have ot so I can give it to my boss, I asked for the manager and the manager still told me the same thing. No, you cannot have the bag. I told her, you should know better because you see me here all the time. I'm bringing my staff here for lunch and you're refusing a bag that you probably paid 25 cents for from China. I was totally embarrassed because both the so call manager and the front desk treated me like garbage!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

We had such an awesome time here at Ninja for my cousins birthday. Our chef Damien was absolutely outstanding! He went above and beyond to make us have fun and was so engaging with his audience. "Damien thank you so much for making the night so memorable." Ninja provided fun head bands and complimentary Saki squirts. Our chef even made a funny balloon hat for the birthday girl! The food was very tasty and fresh, and the entertainment was by far the best! We had the best chef, please see attached the fun photos! *The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish the ambiance was a little different, the rooms need more traditional colors like black and red or white and red. It needs to have a more oriental feel, but our miami friends said it was so much better than Benihana or any other Hibachi area in southeast Florida so that is an awesome win! Oh and their lychee gimlet drink was absolutely awesome! Also the prices are quite fair for the amount of food and fun you receive, so you can't go wrong with Ninja! Another five star review for this place! Our party of 9 had a reservation on a Friday night and were seated quickly. I ordered the Naples Castaway cocktail -- yummy. We were all brought waters as well. We ordered an edamame appetizer which was a good size. I ordered a sashimi/sushi combo which came with the traditional salad and soup. Everyone else in the party ordered hibachi. Chef was entertaining and portions of hibachi were generous. My sashimi had a beautiful presentation. Ive been coming here for a long time, usually I do the hibachi dinner. I never thought of sitting on the restaurant side and trying other items from their menu until recently & I'm so glad I did! The lemon salmon roll was surprisingly, very delicious and now one of my favorites. The lemon is so refreshing and mixes well together. The dynamite roll is definitely a favorite, and I have ordered it while I had a hibachi dinner, it's a go to. The salmon skin roll... I read it & was honestly weirded out but I love trying new things, this is very very different and oddly a new favorite as well, it taste like salmon jerky if you've ever had that before. Next time I would ask for it without the sauce that comes with it the sauce is a little too sweet in my opinion. The dragon egg is my absolute favorite item! Call before you get there to see if the A/C is working, but if you want to go anyway avoid the middle tables. They placed portable air conditioners at the corner tables but the middle tables are a sauna. Nothing better than sitting directly next to a hibachi grill in a hot room. I came at 3:00 and nobody is there so if you do not like loud places then come at three. And aslo if you do not like vegetables dont come because they throw vegetables at your mouth. But we survived. I have avoided this specific location for two years because of a deeply unprofessional and targeted experience. While other guests at the table and the person next to me was doing the exact same thing, the chef twice singled me out and scolded me for holding my plate to receive food even though the person next to me was doing the same exact thing. Most concerningly, the specific chef physically targeted me by throwing food at me while I was looking at my phone and clearly not participating in the show. The waitress was equally unhelpful, she ignored the clear double standards and the specific chef's aggressive behavior toward me. It felt like the staff was ganging up on me for entertainment rather than providing hospitality. Management needs to know that this team's lack of professional boundaries was a major service failure. read more

Enormous rip-off and I believe intentional scam charges. The food tasted fine. My issue started when I asked if I could order more than one meat, combo of two meats, I was told by the server, "of course! You can even have 3!" I ordered steak, chicken and salmon. When receiving my bill I was charged for a meal and an additional protein of $13 for the salmon. Nobody ever told me that, I just thought I was getting a combination of 3 meats. Next I was charged for a club soda, even though my husband ordered 2 high priced cocktails. I noticed my bill at the end of the night and asked if they could remove the extra protein charge because I did not want EXTRA meat, I only wanted a choice of 3 which she gladly offered. They told me they could only charge me for a 3-meat meal which was over $40, it ended up saving me about $6 and was credited from my bill, as a convenience! Wow. I had to take more than half of my meal home, I did not want extra meat. Then a couple of weeks later, I was looking over my bill and noticed that because we were a table of 10 people, and even though I only paid for 4 of the 10, I was charged a forced gratuity. This was told to me by the server, but when I look back, I noticed my bill was totaled and on top of the subtotal was tax and then I was tipped 20% on the subtotal plus tax! That is not ethical to charge a tip on tax. I'm not even sure it's legal. Probably not illegal since it was all out there in plain sight. So if you ever go in here, please just check your bill before paying. A $3.50 charge for club soda is quite pricey. read more

(I am now bumping up a star). There was more food than I could eat. I ordered their chicken. The dish comes with noodles, rice, vegetables, soup, and salad with a fantastic ginger dressing. We finally tried Ninja Steak and it did not disappoint! We opted for lunch service and chose hibachi, primarily for the kids. The hibachi lunch starts with complimentary happy crab cakes, ginger salad and soup. All so delicious with perfect flavors! The soup broth was outstanding! For appetizer we ordered the spicy edamame. They quality edamame was decent and spice level just right. Could have uses a bit of salt. Our chef was incredible!! He really did a fantastic job with our steak and shrimp, as well as so entertaining for all us. We really enjoyed Ninja and will definitely be back!! read more

Ambience: First of all...it was a weekend night. BIG mistake. We were seated in the bar area which became overrun by adults who had no idea of personal space. Then let's talk about the large group of teenaged boys who kept parading out from the Hibachi room in twos and threes. Not gone long enough for a smoke so what was that all about? Food: some good, some not so much. The shrimp tempura and sweet potato rolls not bad. The triple tuna dish...ick. The tuna looked as if had been put through the blender, soft, no flavor and had 'stuff'(skin?, scales?,bone?) in it. We were close enough to see the sushi bar and not once did we see the chefs reach into the refrigerated section to get out a piece of fish. I have visions of a large tub of the stuff somewhere waiting to be scooped out and rolled. My companion tried desperately to eat it but couldn't get past the baby food texture and no taste. Staff: the hostess was very busy trying to seat everyone in both the restaurant spaces (hibachi and regular). A second person would have been a big help to her and contributed to shorter wait times with more efficient 'crowd ' control. Our waitress was working both inside and outside tables and hustling her bustle off. She was new and didn't have the answers to some questions but did make the effort to go and get the information. She was a bit harried and forgot several things we asked for but understandable given how much she was running back and forth. My sushi was so filling and did not disappoint but the "caviar" I know it wasn't real but it was no good , the miso soup was also not good . My bf's lobster and filet mignon was ok, Nothing special . Hands down our new favorite Hibachi Restaurant- Ninja . I called in the day of hoping to get a reservation and I was!! I was thrilled and recommend getting a reservation anytime you can. Parking can be difficult, I will not lie but it is worth a little walk. Restaurant is very clean, staff is amazing and friendly. Dylan ended up trying the carbonated sodas which he loved. One of the best hibachi places we've been to and we love going to them all. Ninja is now our favorite! Hibachi room is beautiful! Chairs - comfy and spaced out nicely. They bring you eggrolls, soup and salad to start off with. The BEST salad we've had at a hibachi restaurant. Our chef was funny and friendly. He made sure we were all having a great time and got us involved. I had seen prior to going in these blow up headband things and I assumed it was something you paid for extra. Nope! Your chef blows it up while he is getting your rice, veggies and noodles ready. It was really cute and funny to see which ones he pulled out for your party. We were princess & the frogs (girls had frozen and boys had frogs) Food was delicious - everything about it. My family gets chicken and steak. All meats were juicy, tender and cooked to our liking. 5/5 all around!!! I've been here twice now and would absolutely go back and recommend this place. The first time I went was when I had guests in town. We went for hibachi on a Saturday night and it was busy. The server was awesome and he apologized a lot for the wait. They were also giving everyone a free spicy crab roll which is a nice touch. The hibachi is always fun and our chef was very fun. Everyone at our table seemed to have a good time. The other time I went I just had a lunch plate and that was delicious as well, and cooked in the same way. If you love Asian food and enjoy a good show, definitely come here for hibachi! We got sushi take out for the party. All the sushi were assembled into the two large round trays. Wasabi and pickled ginger were packaged into a separate container. Soy sauce was packed into the small containers. The order was placed for the pickup before 3 pm so we could still enjoy lunch-time prices for some of the rolls. We got a variety of regular (spicy tuna, eel avocado, etc) and specialty rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted good, but there were no real stand outs and no memorable rolls. read more

I am fortunate to have hibachied my way around the USA and tonight I would sample Naples' effort. Ambiance - loud. High concentration of teenagers. Raucous. A few observations - Shrimp and filet quality fine Cooking technique - what the chef lacked in precision and technique he more than compensated with theatrics and just absolute lunacy. He would squirt sake from a baster into the willing throats of underage patrons. What? And then he poured everclear around the hibachi perimeter only to IGNITE a forest fire and it even burned some nearby paper. Out of control. I would also point out the sequencing wasn't ideal - soup and salad the obvious start but then rice noodle then protein then veg. A couple quibbles - the two customary dipping sauces for hibachi are white and red but this white one wasn't peanut sauce based but was basically mayo! My wife, my daughter, and me had a really nice experience at this restaurant. Do you tour schedule for the day we had to eat really early and arrived about 4:30. The staff were all very friendly and how far this was the first time visiting here. We really like hibachi restaurants, and even have a favorite teriyaki sauce from a restaurant in Chicago. We brought a sealed container of our favorite teriyaki sauce and I was not sure if they would use it but they were happy to accommodate. I really like to they include both noodles and rice which we don't see very often. My wife and me are at the fillet while my daughter ordered the shrimp and we were all very satisfied.
