First and foremost, there are no hibachi tables at this restaurant - so they really should consider changing the name. We ordered from both the hibachi and sushi menus. We made a reservation in advance through their Google system for a party of eight, and to their credit, it's a small, cozy spot and our table was ready and set up when we arrived. Service moved very quickly, so quickly that our hot meals arrived before our drinks! The hibachi steak, chicken, shrimp was hot and fresh, but nothing particularly memorable - just simply executed. I'd recommend asking for the soy ginger and yum yum sauces on the side to enhance the experience. The sushi rolls were slightly better than supermarket sushi. They offer an extensive specialty roll menu, but many are heavy on shrimp/krab and covered in mayo-based sauces, which seemed to mask a slightly fishy taste in the fish. Service struggled a bit with accuracy. Our server had difficulty remembering who ordered what, so as dishes came out - soup, salad, mains - I ended up directing plates to the right person. If orders are being written down in sequence, it would help to refer back to that when serving. Overall, it was okay, but not compelling enough for a quick return. None of the desserts stood out, so we ended up going elsewhere to finish the night. read more

Very bittersweet to have to report we will no longer visit Tokyko hibachi after back to back experience this week. We settled in the low key spot, which was busier than normal. Lots of pick up orders backing up so restaurant seemed fuller than normal. We were greeted just fine and picked a booth seat. The server arrived and promptly took our drink and appetizer order- shumai and edammae. However, we asked if they can make it spicy and she said "no problem". Drinks and appetizers arrived, with plain edammae. She told us she forgot to tell them to make spicy. In lieu of spice, she gave us Sriracha. Wasn't really what we were going for. We attempted to add salt to the edammae, which it was lacking. It became EXTREMELY difficult to get the salt grinder lid off. It was stuck! In this process, we knocked over our fresh beer, on table and floor. This accident was a result of prying open the stuck lid. Our server came over a threw a few napkins on table and floor. Owner came by to put slip caution sign over mess. Please note, the entire time we were there, NO ONE mopped the beer up OR wiped our sticky beer table. And when server finally came back she asked if we wanted a water to replace, because if we order a new beer, she would be charging us. I was shocked! I asked for napkins since we used all cleaning up beer. She brings 3, there are 4 of us. Sake order was only half full, typically fuller in past. Forgot to brings kids drinks. They brought us our bill after apps, not realizing we never got our rolls. We also were never given little dishes for our soy. The whole beer experience really bothered me. Like this is how they handle an accident due to their product being difficult to use? They whole experience was terrible. 3 stars because the food was good but everything else not so much. read more

I have eaten here multiple times, during different times of the day, and I absolutely LOVE it! My mom ordered from this place for my birthday and everything was amazing. Not only was the service very quick and easy for her to place (just a day before my birthday), but the food as well. My mom ordered a bunch of rolls but some included the spicy crab roll, dynamite roll, and the volcano roll. The volcano roll is my personal favorite, the salmon isn't slimy and is incredibly tasty with the perfect texture of fresh and chewy. The edamame is also spectacular and I highly recommend it to anyone planning on going, the seasoning isn't too overwhelming but still subtle and delicious. Another time I went with a group of friends and my friend ordered the miso soup because she had a sore throat, and she said how soothing it felt to eat with the flavors not be overwhelming but just enough to satisfy her sickened tastebuds. I highly recommend this place to anyone who does enjoy sushi or any other Japanese type food. The service is another bonus. When I went for my friends graduation party before, we let the servers know that a few more people are joining us, and they immediately pushed two tables together without questioning anything. The service is very friendly yet calming, they don't make you feel rushed when coming in but great you very kindly where you feel like you're going into a restaurant you've been going to for years when it's your first time. The atmosphere is also very calming and relaxing, not one of those places that has heavy lighting and overstimulating visuals on the walls and loud music, and the music is very subtle over the speakers so you don't have to hear others when they eat (which is a personal pet peeve of mine). The food comes out incredibly fast no matter the time of day, I went one day when there was literally nobody in the restaurant and my food came out in around 6 minutes, another day when I went with a big group of friends when it was very busy our food still came out around that same time. The servers also check up on your table often to see if we enjoy the food, but not in an overly pushy way, in a way that appears like they genuinely WANT your feedback to see if they can help with any problems you may be having. Overall, 10/10 establishment, I always recommend this place to my friends when they want to eat out with family or friends, and we never get sick of it! read more

We used to love this restaurant but not so much after last night. My meat was overcooked and the veggies undercooked. There was not any mushrooms in my steak hibachi and that's my favorite part so they were very missed. I wish they would have told me they were out of mushrooms when the order was placed. Maybe they just forgot to put them in? It was overloaded with undercooked onions instead. Even the flavor seemed off. I know there is not a sauce per se but there was very little flavor. If they have switched cooks, please bring back the last one. Totally missed the target on this meal. The service was great so I still gave them 3 stars. I hope they read this and my next order is way better. As for everyone else, maybe Mondays are not the best day to visit this establishment. To go order. Everything was still warm when I arrived home. A major influence on how I rate is the service and overall dining experience. So maybe this rating could be higher. A big maybe. The edamame were steamed properly and had a good amount of salt. Ordered a dynamite roll and 2 orders of spicy tuna rolls. My gf likes the blended and chopped fish style of sushi. I don't, I prefer chunks of fish. I feel this style is sushi is the throw away parts of a fish, like a hot dog. All fin and gills. Prove me wrong and give me real pieces of fish. Boy am I so disappointed by the ramen. Man that gets 1.5 stars. Basic stock and broth, possibly a packet. Zero depth or flavor. Packaged noodles. So sad. Side order of fried rice was greasy, which can be okay if you have fried pork or other proteins in it. This didn't. Maybe 1/6th of an egg was used. Underwhelmed. This restaurant should actually be ashamed of its service. This restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY. Everything we ordered was incorrect...even down to the drink order! We sit down and order gyoza and edamame. These appetizers never came out and in fact she never even placed the order. The three of us ordered the two roll special lunch special which comes with soup or salad. We also ordered a red dragon roll. Half of us got our order before any appetizer. We did not receive any of the rolls we actually ordered, all orders were incorrect. The last roll we waited for (the red dragon roll), a completely different dragon roll came out. We asked to speak with the manager and they refused to tell us who the manager was. Unbelievable. On top of that the staff was everything BUT accommodating. Management help needed!. My carry out order was ok. Hibachi combo consisting of steak, chicken, veggies (mostly broccoli) and shrimp (2). Quantity was decent and the steak was prepared nicely medium. The chicken was exceptionally dry. I suspect that precooked chicken was added to the order at the end. My primary issue was with the length of tome I waited to pick up my order. Called in from the road at 5:55 pm and received the standard reply of "about 10 minutes". Arrived at 6:05 pm. "Order about ready." Ok, I paid for it to speed up the process. Mistake. I watched multiple tables receive their orders while I stood there trying to stay out of the way. At 6:20 " your order coming out." Another table of 3 who arrived and ordered after I had arrived (and paid) were served. Departed with my dry chicken at 6:30 pm. Having been in the restaurant industry I get the fact that tables with 2 or more diners need to have their meals prepared and presented at the same time. But in this case it was ridiculous. A hibachi grill prep time is 6-8 minutes. My meal was not even started until well after I arrived (and paid). I would have preferred if I had been told to go buy groceries or go get a haircut.... anything better than just standing around there. I may give it another try but I will ask how long it will REALLY be and will definitely not pay in advance. I would have walked out otherwise. read more

This review is based on the ramen and edemame I ate there. I was excited to have a place closer to my home serve ramen and at a very reasonable rate. I have to say that even for the lower price it was disappointing. I ordered a pork ramen: the noodles were a bit hard, the egg was over cooked and those were the only things that made it "Ramen". It honestly seemed like someone tried to use chicken noodle soup and just threw pork, egg and noodle in there and called it "Ramen" since it had broccoli and celery in it which I have NEVER seen in a ramen before. The edemame was not cooked enough and was hardly salted. I left half of both. I can not speak for the sushi and such, it gets two stars because the place seemed clean, modern and the staff was nice. We had called 15 mins beforehand, ordered our food and were told there would be a 25 min wait. Doesn't sound bad right? Well, we arrived and 10 mins went by, then another 10, then another 30 mins. We had stood outside for over an hour, where as 20 other people had came, ordered on the spot and received their food before us. We finally get called up, and notice that the bag of food we had seen sitting on the table through the window for the past 20 mins, was ours. AND the food was cold.
