The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. The ambiance when you walk in is absolutely fabulous - beautifully designed and full of energy. The doors opened right at 3:31, and the bar filled up fast. As it turned out, they were celebrating their 2-year anniversary, which I had no idea about, but the buzz in the room made it feel like a special occasion. The bartending staff handled the rush with impressive efficiency - drinks were coming out quickly even as the place packed in. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered off the happy hour menu, and while there was a small mix-up with my food (completely understandable given the volume and the anniversary excitement), the staff was absolutely wonderful about it. They accommodated my request to have my order packed to go without any hesitation - and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel and dug in, I was not disappointed at all.
