What a wonderful Mexican restaurant- large portions- very tasty and flavorful- ample parking AND a drive through - will come again

We had a hankerin' for Mexican food & ended up here. We pulled up and used the drive thru with its menu spanning the land, sea and air. We ordered two entrees - an enchiladas and asada quesadilla and taco, and received aluminum encased meals with plenty of chips and salsa. The portions were huge (leftovers were enough for 2 meals), and the food was decent. Would rate the food 3.5 stars, but the service bumps it up to 4 stars. The taco was bigger than the average street taco & loved the grilled pepper inside! They offer a little bit of everything and the order was put together fast.

    Camerones de diabla

I ordered Camerones de crema and even pointed at it on the menu when I ordered it. When I received my plate it was camerones de diabla. When I tried to correct her when the plate came out she kept repeating that I ordered the wrong item and then proceeded to show me that she had written it wrong on her note pad. She wouldn't let me send it back and kept talking over me. She didn't apologize for the mix up and insisted I was wrong. Why am I expected to eat something I didn't even order. Wish I could put 0 stars, the service was miserable.

Enchiladas were amazing. Their house Margaritas are very good for the price. Service was good.

Great vegetarian options in Yakima!…read more Quality: most vegetarian and Mexican places only give you rice beans and tomatoes as an option. These guys have well seasoned, actual vegetables and plentiful options that don't just seem like a taco with meat missing, butt seem like a complete food option. I got the potato tacos and the veggie burrito and both were very well done. So potatoes needed a little salt, but nothing that I couldn't fix at the table. Quantity: i'm a big guy and I eat a lot. But even I could only finish one taco and half a burrito. massive quantity! Price: $13 for a burrito that can feed 2! Ambiance: standard Mexican decor. It was clean and outdoor dining was available.

They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.

The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch. The restaurant is medium sized with adequate parking out front, and if things get busy, there's plenty of overflow in the adjacent Fred Meyer lot. The restaurant is in the middle of the strip mall just north of Fred Meyer. My spouse ordered the Avocado Tostada, which was generously sized and clearly delicious--he ate more than usual. It came with rice and refried beans, both well prepared. I used to order the Cheese/Onion Enchilada plate, which includes two enchiladas plus rice and beans, and I'd always end up taking half home (never quite the same reheated). Since my appetite is smaller, I now ask for just one cheese/onion enchilada on its own. The staff never blinks at the request, and my husband happily shares a bit of his refried beans with me. My meal was perfection. Definitely worth checking out. It's not the most extraordinary Mexican food in the area, but it's always very good--better than we can make at home--and that's why we keep coming back.

This local Mexican restaurant serves undeniably delicious and authentic food, but a strict,…read moreunaccommodating policy toward modifications and substitutions makes it a frustrating choice for selective eaters or those with dietary restrictions. As a pescatarian, making simple substitutions, (with an additional charge) like putting the same grilled fish from your offered tacos onto other selections in place of the many other meat options, can make the difference between settling for what's available and getting to have exactly what you want. I would not return to a restaurant where I have to settle. It would be a good idea to consider changing that policy.
