Let me preface my review by saying that I rate local restaurants in comparison to others in the area. I've tried out a pretty big number of mom and pop pizzerias around York County. I gotta say the majority are meh. I had passed by Memory Lane a number of times. I finally decided to check it out about 3 months ago. I like that the service is always friendly. I've ordered pizza at least 4 times now and each experience has been consistent. I always do carry-out and find that there's plenty of parking. They use fresh mushrooms! That's a big plus in my book! The dough is baked well, never burnt. I also like the dough itself is thinner which reminds me of NY pizza. I just prefer a little more grease when I fold my pizza though ha! I went on a weekend afternoon/evening and there was not a soul in the restaurant. It was extremely hot outside and upon entering Memory Lane Pizza it felt like they had no Air Conditioning. Either it was broken or owners are too cheap to run it. I also observed the Kitchen Door propped open letting Rats and Roaches come inside freely. Ultimately, seeing as the food was not moving and the door propped open (Hello, Health Code Violation) I left for another establishment. read more

We just stopped in for a quick dinner after a long day, it was 8:20pm. They say they are open until 9. I ordered a cheeseburger sub and my boyfriend ordered a chicken caesar wrap. Upon ordering the cashier said we had to take our order with us because the manager said no more dine ins. Fine, (I've worked in restaurants for years and never would have done that with 40 minutes till close but so be it) so we paid and started waiting near the counter - the restaurant was empty except for a table of 3 in the lower part of the dining room. We were then asked to wait for our order in the lower dining room so the cashier could sweep the floor! We got our sandwiches, ate in our car and pulled out of the parking lot, we were finished by 8:45. The food was good, however because of this experience we will not be back. I eat here from time-to-time and this review reflects my last visit there. I really wanted a couple slices of cheese pizza but the slice cheese pizza in the display case looked old and dried-out and very over baked, boarding on the burnt side. I refuse to spend good money for burnt dried-up pizza so I guess that is why a whole pie was in the display case and still there when I left; and they were busy during that time... The wife and I shared most of the food we ordered. Ordered a Tuna Boat and it was just amazing, not only in taste but looks too. Plenty of tuna, cheese melted to perfection, outstanding roll; what more could you ask for. I truly believe they make the best Tuna Boat in York County; it's that good in my opinion. They serve frozen French-fries cooked to perfection; I still believe frozen fries are better than fresh cut, my opinion! I had the Chicken Parm and it was pretty good although I wish they used a different sauce; the sauce seems no different than used on their pizzas. The wife had the Chicken Alfredo which she did not care for. She said the sauce was missing something and very little sauce on the plate and throughout the chicken and pasta. I tasted it and did not taste all that good, no Alfredo taste to it... All-in-all a very clean, friendly place to eat and the prices are about average for this type of eating establishment. I grabbed a sandwich and an order of curly fries here. The curly fries portion was too large and they could really cut down their portion size. The sandwich was just ok and ultimately forgettable. The inside is clean and bright. however, it is hard floors, walls, and windows, with a lot of families with small children echoing noise of all those hard surfaces so this place is very loud to the point I couldn't hear myself think. This place was perfect! Food was great! Staff was friendly and it was overall a great experience! We come up to this area several times a year for hockey tournaments and have been constantly disappointed with the places we take the team for dinner. This place did not disappoint!! We brought our 9 kids and all of their families (35+ people) to Memory Lane and it was excellent! We called ahead and they reserved the lower part of the restaurant for us, had our pizzas out right on time and we were able to feed our hungry kiddos and parents right away! The pizza was good and the lunch special was a decent deal on two large slices. NY style crust. The toppings seemed to be added after the cheese was melted so they fell off the slice, but this negative was resolved by properly folding the slice. The only gripe I have (and why only 3 stars) are fountain drinks have no refills, so don't go in thirsty. The overhead lost on a refill is minimal. read more

Been here a few times and will be returning. There are a few pizza spots in the area that i like but my kids seem to fight me for this spot on our pizza nights which is on Fridays. I've tried the regular pies which are good and the Sicilian style which was also pretty good.
