    Wonton Soup

Sushi roll was alright. Not worth getting again but maybe one of their other rolls is better. Wonton soup broth was tasty but the wontons themselves were kinda bland and the wrapping texture was kinda strange; really soft and loose. I would give it another try since it's been there forever and people seem to like it, but I didn't think much of what I got. Service was great and quick.

Absolutely my favorite Sushi place. Fresh and beautiful presentation. Friendly servers and very accommodating Chef. We love the intimate setting and proximity to home. Curries are amazing and Green Tea Boba is so delicious!

Super affordable sushi spot just across from the ocean. Fresh sushi and super friendly and fast service. Sushi/sashimi lunch combo was under $20. Food came quick and was a very good variety.

We decided to try here bc of the good ratings. Our sushi was fresh & delicious. There were many rolls to choose from. We enjoyed every roll we tried. We wanted to try the tempura ice cream, they were out of it so we ordered the tempura cheesecake. I asked if they would write happy bday on it. One of the waitresses said "we'll try". The prices were reasonable, we'll be back. Nice & cozy restaurant, tables are spaced apart nicely. It was clean & our waitress wore a mask.

The server on our visit Wednesday afternoon was so friendly and nice. We were seated immediately…read morewithout a wait. We were the only ppl there at 12:45pm. I have to say first - we literally chose this restaurant bc they had pork katsu (tonkatsu) and Japanese curry on the menu. These are dishes we had in Japan and always look for, but this is THE ONLY restaurant we've found in the area that has real pork katsu. A few have chicken... but that's not the same at all. Also, Japanese curry is a specific and special dish that I haven't seen anywhere else around here (except in my own kitchen). I ordered miso soup, squid salad, shumai, and eel with cucumber roll. Hubs ordered pork katsu entree which came with a carrot ginger dressing salad and miso soup to start, and rice, broccoli, and tonkatsu sauce with the pork tonkatsu. Also ordered Kirin and a sparkling sake. We were both mostly happy with our choices overall. The katsu was SO crispy, just like we had in Tokyo. But it was a tad overcooked, so not as tender inside as one would hope. It also didn't come with shredded seasoned cabbage, which I would have expected as a traditional accompaniment for this dish. The steamed broccoli was crunchy, bright and fresh. The tonkatsu sauce was on point. Steamed shumai was a delight! So well made, delicate but tasty, and it came with a perfect soy vinegar sauce. The squid salad was amazing! I scarfed every single bit of it. I loved the plentiful addition of julienned cucumber. Miso soup wasn't anything special, but wasn't bad. Kind of basic. Didn't seem house made. Maybe from packets. Hubs loved their ginger carrot dressing. More than what we've had at other places. I was not happy with the eel and cucumber roll. They were very tiny pieces, which made them fall apart easily. The wrap barely overlapped so it almost required a fork, and it was less than an inch thick. Also the eel itself did not have a prominent flavor or texture. Neither did the cucumber. The sauce seemed bland. It wasn't "bad" or "off", but it just didn't stand out at all and I'd give it a 2-2.5 stars. (If I had blind tasted this dish, I would not have tasted unagi or sauce or cucumber. I honestly wouldn't have been able to put a finger on what I had eaten at all.) Because the eel cucumber roll was a disappointment, I chose not to order additional sushi or the curry I had intended to order for myself. Definitely going to come back for another meal. I'm giving it a 4 now because I believe we'll probably have more success coming during dinner. Maybe they had prepped my lunch roll earlier so it wasn't great? Maybe the lunch chef is inexperienced and overcooked the pork by mistake? Hubs thought the hibachi choices looked great and he 100% enjoyed the tonkatsu (despite it being overcooked). The crust and fry on it were shatteringly crispy in the best of ways. I am absolutely going to try the curry next time. It's such a comforting dish when done right. We also will try the nigiri and rolls for a better feel and taste of their sushi offerings. Sometimes your first visit happens to be on an off hour or day, so we'll give another try before being too critical in stars.but another mid visit like this would definitely be 3 stars or less.

Well, now, I want to cry…read more I can't believe I've lived in this area for 8 years and this is my first visit. The host was super friendly and warm! Greeted us immediately even though she was just coming off helping someone else and she sat us in a booth as requested with no issues. Just two of us, so I wasn't sure if it would be an issue. It wasn't! This place is AWESOME inside! Beautiful and creative themed murals all over the walls. Totally set the vibe as a casual and ultra cool spot. Our server was friendly without being obtrusive. Definitely gave us our space but made eye contact from across the room in case we need anything. We started with the Sushi Mori A, which we thought was going to have a roll and 10 pieces. We asked if we needed to pick and the server started listing what it comes with. So many amazing selections so we happily said yes! Well take whatever it comes with. Wow! It actually arrived with closer to 18-20 pieces (and yes we checked the price at the end and we paid for what we ordered as expected). We were absolutely floored by the variety and quality. Everything was fresh. Texture spot on. Nothing slimy. Nothing grey. Nothing fishy. Just pure, clean, water/ocean tasting pieces. All expertly assembled, nothing was sloppy. Hubs, who is mid on sushi, was so satisfied, so happy, he's legit excited about coming back for this boat, other boats, and bringing friends to show off the quality. Were we done? No. Bc this IS a Thai restaurant we had to try specifically Thai food. He'd never had any, so he wasn't sure what to expect. Ordered Beef Cashew Nut and he LOVED it. He first commented that he forgot to order fried rice instead of white, but as soon as he started eating noted it didn't need fried rice. There was so much flavor in the dish it would have been unnecessary. I ordered Beef Chili Paste. I was worried about the spice so went with mild. Next time I would definitely go medium bc I wanted a tad more heat. But the flavors in the dish were so good! Savory, probably oyster and soy sauce on top of chili paste. It was beyond my expectations. We had the Singha Thai beer and some cold Junmai sake. Both were excellent. The Singha tastes light, even though it's just a regular lager. Sake was not too sweet but still smooth and easy to drink. All in all, sushi boat, three beers, one sake, and two entrees was under $100. An amazing deal for the exceptional quality and variety of choices and service. We had just visited an exclusively Japanese restaurant the day before and thought we wouldn't really be into the sushi as a Thai restaurant. Boy were we mistaken! This place took the prize and I would declare it the best sushi and Thai in town by a mile! Absolutely obsessed with returning asap.

Table was clean and the staff was diligent in clearing tables to get everyone a table.
