A small restaurant with friendly service and great food. We had the Tom Yum soup, drunken noodles and spring rolls. The Tom Yum soup was definitely one of the better ones I've had. There are two tables outside, but are cement tables and chairs; didn't look too comfy. There were only 4 tables occupied for dine-in service, but don't use that as a reason not to try their food because for a lot of time that we were there, they were taking to-go and delivery orders. Nippon Thai has become my family's favorite dine in or dine out spot. The food is fresh and amazing. The New Zealand mussels are amazing. The green curry is best I've had. I cannot say enough about this. We had it delivered tonight and it was very fast and the entire order was perfect. The sushi is amazing, the stuffed squid is amazing too. How in Gods name could this place have 4 stars? We called in for take out. No answer. Over and over. The only reason we called more than twice ( I may have dialed wrong the 1st time) was because some else was going to pick it up. So we felt the pressure to get through. Our pick up person actually got there before we could get through. So we start the order. How's the chicken teriyaki? Answer: I don't know never had it. It's a little pricy for this clientele. Wow what an answer. What the difference between the Dancing Eel Roll-J48and the Eel Roll-j37? Answer: I don't know - let me find out. Questions on the soup - about the same. We finally get the food. IT TOOK ONE HOUR! The drive was one mile. Overall this food was worse than what you would get at the mall! Only go here if you're starving and nothing else is open. read more

Went for first time tonight. Soooo good. I need rice-less sushi and they make the best I've had yet. I just wish they would do it for any of the roll choices instead of 2. This place is in walking/biking distance so it will become a fav place to go. Hoping I can get it in more roll choices tho. My dinner partner also choose the fried cheesecake and the crust reminded me of my fav fried ice cream I had years ago,in Utah. I have never found anyone who could replicate it. THIS PLACE IS ALWAYS GOOD. I have come here pretty much everyday for lunch over the last week and it's consistently good. The whole staff is friendly and I feel like I'm having a great meal at a friends house. They give you that vibe. The place is tiny and I have not been for dinner so I'm not sure how long the wait is but lunch can get packed. I have ordered the pad Thai lunch with sushi and for $14 you get a lot of food. This also include soup or salad. It's a pretty solid pick if you're torn between two different types of meals. Last time I was there I loved it. I got the Pad Thai, it was amazing! Service was good although it was a little slow. Dress Code is casual, the place is nice but small. Probably the smallest restaurant I've ever been to. I also got a sushi platter that was also good. Also the location is perfect for where I live... It's literally 1 minute Away from me. I've been here for lunch a handful of times. The lunch specials are a bargain, the service is prompt and the food is good. I haven't tried the sushi, but the Pad Thai and the curry dishes are really tasty. My only two complaints - they are closed on Mondays, and the last time I was there for lunch the music playing was a tad loud and HORRENDOUS (light pop cover music - Celine Dion, etc.) Oh yeah, and I can't help but refer to the place as "Nipple Thigh" thanks to my 12 year old son! read more

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The place is small but efficiently run with about 10 tables. Our server was pleasant and the service efficient. It did take a little long for our main course but it was a busy Friday night and we did not mind the wait for an excellent meal. I always worry when sushi comes out too quick as it usually means it is pre-prepared. Not the case here, excellent sushi made by the chefs close by at the sushi bar. Pad Thai was also good. Ordered the sushi and teriyaki steak combo. It was a lot of food, which is a plus. They included extra sushi in all three orders! They were prompt and kind in taking orders as well as delivery. As for the meal, the ginger salad was the worst I've had by far. It was dry and could hardly be called a dressing. The teriyaki was delicious, but not served with rice (so make sure you order some). The spring rolls were good, as were the sushi. Overall, the place was good, but not the best in the area. read more

I love their Thai Fried Rice! I always order it with shrimp. Great flavor, plenty of shrimp, good sized portions! The teriyaki is very good. We usually order chicken. It's tender and not overly sauced. The miso has a nice rich flavor and is steaming hot. The pad Thai is super. You order it mild to spicy. It never disappoints. The few times we've had sushi, it has been fresh and delicious. Nippon Thai is a family favorite. Service is friendly, servers are attentive. Great place for dinner. read more

Ordered online for a pick up. Picked up McDonald's for kids first day of school celebration and then stopped for my order. They looked puzzled and then said they missed the order. Then tried to say since I ordered before the opened they didn't see it. Seems like bs to me as I got an order confirmation after they opened. Was told to wait 20 minutes. I left to take the rest of the families dinner home. Sat for a few while everyone started their celebration dinner and then left again to get my food. Showed back up and the still confused guy at the desk asked my name again. You'd think you could remember what ticket you forgot to make. Got food and head home. You'd think it would be fresh, but no. Cold, soggy shrimp tempura that was nasty. Won't be back again. Thanks for messing up my families celebration for you crap sushi. read more

I come here quite often. Mostly for to go orders. I sit at a little table and have a beer while I order my to go food. The staff is always so sweet and they answer any questions I have. They definitely go above and beyond. I don't know the names of the ladies working tonight (7/25/18), but they deserve some recognition. I need to pay better attention to their names next time. Most restaurants I go to to get to go food typically forget something or they screw up my order, etc. It has never once happened at Nippon Thai. They even remember to give me silverware, chopsticks, soy sauce, and they are smart enough to bag warm items with other warm items and cold items with cold items. The server I had even remembered that I liked my cold sake from last time and wondered why I ordered a beer. Lol I was also complimented on my hair, which is always a huge bonus. read more
